Mythology!

The world of the Hoi is created by the gods, most notably the Twelve Olympians. These gods and goddesses control of every aspect of life. They reside on the top of Mount Olympus, unseen to the mortals of Earth. There is no way for mortal creatures to reach the top of Mount Olympus, it is necessary to attain immortality in order to be granted access through its cloudy gates.

Those who try to climb the mountain on foot will find it impossible to scale, while those that attempt to enter by the air (pegasi) will find themselves lost in a sudden maze of clouds, and wind up back where they started.

The Twelve Olympians

The Twelve great gods of the Greeks were known as the Olympians. Together they presided over every aspect of human life. They also are the creators of the hippoi, their gift to the humans. Temples

Many a hippoi, for many different reasons take a pilgrimage and visit one or several temples. Here is where you will find the temple you're looking for, there is only one temple for each god/dess so plan your trips accordingly, it could be a long one.

        Aphrodite
The temple of Aphrodite resides on a mountain overlooking Corinth. The climb is a hard one for though the climate is quite tame the mountain itself is moving and shifting ever so slightly causing many rocks to loosen and fall. If you manage to make the trip up the treacherous mountain you will come across a quiet, peaceful temple that gives off a feeling of warmth and happiness.

        Apollo
The temple of Apollo is centered in Corinth. While it may not be a dangerous venture to this well known temple, you may have to watch out for the pickpockets and thieves that litter the marketplace. If you have something to trade, feel free to stop and gaze at the various wares this city has to offer on your way. Apollo's temple is a bright and wondrous atmosphere, seeming to always have pleasant weather and the most kind and helpful priestesses.

        Ares
The temple of Ares is located in northern Athens. A more civilized city than most, Athens is known for its production of the arts and politics. If you think this sounds like a strange place for a temple of a god of war, your thoughts are echoed by many. Like this civilized city, the temple of Ares is mainly used for warriors to come and pay their respects before going off to battle. Many of these warriors have raging emotions and are best left alone, you wouldn't want to anger Ares by upsetting his devout.

        Artemis
The temple of Artemis resides in Corcyra and requires a small boat ride across the sea to reach it. The ferryman works tirelessly day and night to please the mistress of animals, he will charge you no fee and will not begrudge you if you wake him during his light slumber. The temple of Artemis is a sanctuary, especially for women, children and animals, so if you were to visit and pay your respects you may be questioned on your intentions.

        Athena
The temple of Athena resides in the outskirts Delphi, it is one of a kind and circular in stature. A short walk from the outskirts of the city, a top a large winding path will find you at this temple. Being a sanctuary for war heroes seeking to clear their minds and conscience you should find lots of others seeking the guidance of the wise lady.

        Demeter
The temple of Demeter is on the island of Naxos. While the trip requires an overnight boat ride from a port outside of Athens, just getting a glimpse of the beautiful island itself makes everything worth it. Filled with lush vegetation, fruit trees and much greenery, it's a view you won't soon forget. Farmers and women often make this pilgrimage once a year, to pray for a productive year.

        Dionysus
The temple of Dionysus is said not to exist, but others may tell you differently. Nobody truly knows, but it is said that when one tries to find the temple, they will know the way.

        Hades
The temple of Hades is located in Epirus, near the Acheron river inside a system of caves. How it was built in here, nobody can really say, and not much else is known about the temple itself, other than not too many are known to go visiting it.

        Hephaestus
The temple of Hephaestus is also located in Athens. The blacksmiths erected this temple, hoping it would bring them good fortune to their trade, for that reason it stands largely near the city's smelter. One would be wary of entering this temple for a reason other than worship, for the blacksmiths are mighty protective of their patron god.

        Hera
The temple of Hera resides in Olympia, one of the the most famous temples and cities. Being in the city of Olympia, where the chariot races are most often held, Hera gets a lot of traffic to her temple. Some may think because so many rely on Hera that her time is divided too thinly to be a very helpful goddess. Others know the truth, that she saves her powers for those that truly need it, especially the women and children.

        Hermes
The temple of Hermes resides on a high mountain in the Pelo Ponnesus region. Steps lead up to the temple and it is said a brave follower built these steps to allow true followers to reach their destination quicker as Hermes would have wanted. One wouldn't care to linger in this temple, the temple wasn't created for comfort, and rather for brief yet frequent visits.

        Hestia
Hestia doesn't have a temple per se, instead, she wishes for offerings at hearths of any sort. An inn or a home with a hearth are fine places to pray for a blessing from Hestia, being a goddess with little time for frivolities it was decided that the best place of worship was one out of your own home.

        Poseidon
The temple of Poseidon resides on the island of Cythera. A short boat trip away from the mainland will take you to the island, a place often inhabited by captains of many different ships. The waters around Cythera are always calm, and deep enough for boats to navigate, for this reason many ship owners believe spending the night here will grant them luck aplenty for the journey ahead.

        Zeus
The temple of Zeus is also in Olympia, a place close to where his own wife's temple is located. Much like the temple of Hera, Zeus tends to get quite a bit of traffic in his temple. It's been said people arrive all the way from Illium just to pay their respects. Try to visit in the early morning or late evening if you'd like quiet time to yourself.
