Current Mini-arc Effects
With the area collapsed & the pollen enemies enraged, they tried a different tactic: environmental degredation via hostile takeover. Underground reservoirs were brought up to bring life teeming to the area, at the cost of having one of their enemies encroach: the Magnetic Forests. These special forests increase the effectiveness of all genjutsus by a large amount, while also having the naturally occuring 'go around in circles forever until you quit' genjutsu effect. Those using metallic tools, Raiton, or Magnetic techniques will immediately find their abilities compromised as the naturally magnetic trees produce a damping effect.
The ruins of the old outpost lay buried here with few openings available. The pollen-y antagonists have assigned it as their headquarters within the center of it all, their flowery counterparts reveling in the effectiveness of the protection. All current upgrades from the normal outpost are still active once inside.
The 3 doors of Scent, Sound, & Taste can be accessed from here. Below the room with the doors, a cavern holds an underground lake with strange plant life, the doors of Sight & Feeling, & the I.B.D.'s throne.
Normal Outpost
 An outpost hidden within the desert. Shinobi new to the anbu of the sand village are assigned here often to help maintain border security. The outpost consists of a single story wooden building. The shinobi assigned here require food to be restocked once a month.
Dec. 22nd: An unknown entity has upscaled the outpost to an unknown quantity, it no longer a single wooden building, but many hidden stone outcroppings!
Dec. 24th: An unknown entity has been found in an elaborate series of Gothic tunnels and hallways under the desert. The walls are supported by roots of plants in the area, and have veins of Chakra running through them to prevent their destruction by physical means. Though underground, the area is well-ventilated and well-lit at all times. The only entrance is through a pit of quicksand; after sinking to the bottom, one is dropped in to the vast, cavernous, Gothic building underneath. Every inch of floor is covered by beautiful flowers, all in bloom. The place reeks of mold and pollen, and the smell is intoxicating and sweet to those who haven't experienced it before. There is obviously a secret here.
Dec. 25th: Anti-flame sealing has been added to ensure that the facility doesn't burn & bake within the ground, as a preventative structure.
Dec. 26th: Stocking of Tools & Weapons, complete. Skiski barricades placed along machinery rooms & main room's walls, ceilings, & floors for added fortifications.
Dec. 28th: Traps set. Skiski barricades placed along remaining walls, ceilings, & floors. Outpost is on full alert.

The gray skies overhead continued to pour rain down on the sands of the Wind Country, and in it strolled a single woman. The clouds overhead continued moving when she stopped, crashing over the landscape recklessly. Bast sat down on a dune and waited for information to start pouring in on the bandit's location.

Suddenly, the rain began to pick up Chakra signals, and more than a handful. Each signal was small, but together they formed a cloud of energy in large patches. One was especially powerful, and to observe this one better, Bast activated Zetsu's Sensory Range Technique and slanted her head in the appropriate direction.

It was the Invading Bandit Dude, and he seemed to be talking with someone. Bast pushed herself slightly and felt her ears move past the hindrance of the rain. All she heard, though, was bestial cries and roars from the Dude and his absent conversational partner.

Things were strange. The woman had seen the Dude start walking for a shrub. After that, however, his Chakra traces had vanished completely.

Bast was concerned for what had happened with the man, but more so with the landscape. There was nothing, not even an animal, out in the rain. Even so, she continued to pick up Chakra signals via Ukojizai.

The Chakra levels of the land were enormous. It seemed that it had absorbed natural Chakra, and not simply accumulated regular Chakra. Bast pulled her mind away from this and activated Kagura Shingan.

Each pinprick of energy was tiny, but there were so many of them that Bast could not count them all. She shook her head in dismay and turned her search downward. She was surprised to find that there was an entire underground complex below, and even more surprised to find that the walls of it were coated with veins of Chakra.

She followed the vein-marked hallways to a large central room, in which there were five Chakra signatures. It seemed that Dude was the strongest in terms of Chakra: two of the lights were similar in strength to a Chuunin; one was similar to a Jounin; the last unknown was close to a Konin. With this information in hand, Bast turned and walked back to the Village, filled with convictions that the members of the organization below did not have individual identities and letting the storms fizzle out.

A small hummingbird flew across the desert with an eye in its possession. It flew over dunes and eventually spotted a large hole in the ground ahead. With a smooth dive, it entered the underground complex and began to flutter quietly around the building, staying away from the plants that lit the building.

San hidden well under a sand dune about 4 kilometers from the base. Even at this distance his sensor technique was effective. He could feel nearly everyone in the complex. As The jounin had predicted, Bast sensei was dead on with her analysis. However, by the way the chakra was working, If would appear as if they where fortifying it with....something.....San decided he would have to go back to camp and report his findings.

The Black Knight's patrol along the corridors led him through several glowing rooms, his sword in hand. An echo bounced softly off of the plants around him, & his eyes narrowed. Moving on to the next room, a fluttering little bird was briefly seen before it disappeared, & his eyes narrowed further. How many rooms had the bird gone through? Certainly not through the rooms with closed doors, of which there were many. Stalking his prey, he moved on to the remaining room in the loop of rooms on the first floor, & fired off Raikou Boruto no Jutsu at the intruding bird. Nothing shall live. Everything shall perish, he thought, but only the angry snarl of some long dead wild animal emitted from his covered maw.

The bird cracked and split under the force of the Lightning Bolt technique, but didn't perish before turning around. The eye in its grip caught a glimpse of the attacker as it, too, dispersed. The bird and the eye were gone, and in their places was a small cloud of dust and sand.

The bloodlust frothed forth within The Black Knight, & he squeeled under the impression of delight. Even if it was just a simple bird & its package, anything that disturbed the rooms would be dealt with post-haste. Drawing nearer to the settling cloud of dust & sand, he kicked it, dispersing the cloud into little swirls before continuing his route through the loop. By now, the others in the base would have heard his roars of delight & risen from their slumber, ready for another round.

Fire Juggler [Image]
A subtle set of movements came from one of the rooms as a woman stepped out of a previously locked room. She glowed slightly, but did so less organically than the flowers did; she looked as if she was almost in flames. She uttered something bestial and jumped out of the base. Once outside, she held out a hand and a small sun-like orb of heat appeared below it, dangling like the light from a lantern. She walked away from the base, toward the sounds of a ruckus on the horizon.
