The Hidden Sand village roads that lead to different areas of the country ninja take this route to get to were they are needed and use it to get to the sand village.

Walking through the desert Alucai was more focused on where to go instead of when. Alucai made his way to the desert until following where his feet guided him.

Bast appeared outside of the Village and, in a heavily censored and speedy movement, changed clothes. She used Gunsei to animate some of the stones nearby to create an armor for her that made her look like a brutish bandit man with powerful fists, and a few cronies to help out the look. Just to get used to moving within the suit, the woman did some stretching exercises before strolling casually toward the Gates.

...but was intercepted by the group of "bandits"! Bast, having seen the Suna-nin, had decided to start small. She directed her cronies in to a circle around the Shinobi as she took time strolling up in her muscular male body.

Unfortunately, this tactic failed to destroy all of the bandits, simply because they disappeared toward the Gate in a Shunshin-esque movement. A few, however, stayed behind to make it look as if the boy had won. This was due to boredom on Bast's part, because she really wanted to set off the alarms over at the Village. In short, Alucai was free to go on as he pleased.

Bast ignored the search effort for a good campsite and simply walked straight toward a random spot. It seemed that a few tents were already up, but in the windy desert, that might not have proved to be much. The winds could shift at any moment in a desert, after all.
