So, why do you believe in the right to bear arms? Different people have different reasons, I'm just curious what you people have to say about it.

I believe people are entitled to the right to own one if they want, it's just that countries with no or little gun laws tend to have high crime rates. EG, America. Places like Japan have very little gun crime, I believe, and I think they have quite harsh and strict gun laws.

Normally I would be more than happy to engage in a heated debate as to why you are wrong, but I'm really not in the mood right now. I will say one thing in rebuttal: Switzerland. I'll just trust you know what I mean by that.

To be honest, I think it's just because the Swiss are generally sensible, given that they're rolling in money and completely neutral when it comes to everything.

The swiss are more sensible than Americans, it's pretty obvious if you look at literacy rate and crime rate. Their literacy rate is a matter of education, not sensibility. And they have a lower crime rate because everyone in the country does required military service, and owns an assault rifle. It's quite common in Switzerland to see soldiers marching down the street carrying their rifles. Putting restrictions on guns is not the answer, all that does is raise crime rates and make the people completely dependent on their government. When the people become unarmed, they become sheep. This is why the right to bear arms is in our constitution. The crime rates in America are ridiculous because our justice system is a joke, our education system is in the toilet, our economy is in shambles, no one bothers to parent their children anymore, people know nothing about guns, illegal immigrants pour into this country on an enormous scale, and no one cares about their neighbors or their community anymore. The nation has adopted the "I don't want to get involved" policy, leaving everything to our underfunded police force, which is stretched thinner than Superman's tights. Furthermore, if you will look at the post-WW2 era, you will see that America had fewer gun restrictions, and much less crime. The problem isn't guns sir, guns are just a convenient scapegoat that everyone wants to point at.

So you're saying that Switzerland is still better than the US when it comes to gun control and general "Sensebility with guns". Yeah, the Swiss are probably the most sensible people on the planet, and it has nothing to do with education, it's a genetic gift.

Honestly 2 reasons why i carry, because i dont know if an intruder is going to bust in the door, secondly..If our government tried to stick me with that chip implant, they have another thing coming. Death angel, nice one man.

Okay, Both have a good point. The reason why Japan has a good crime rate is because the only real criminal activity is the Yakuza clans and small gangs. And their cops are way more clean than the U.S.
I love my country, but it doesn't love back.
Switzerland, will...Every one is trained to shoot there so no one ******** with them. And America not only has a "not to get involved" mentality, In fact, only Yankees and Cali's have that. I live in deep south Louisiana( No I'm not an ignorant redneck) and all these 'Non-violent' activist have polluted the old fashioned "LET"S KICK SOME a**!!!" American way.
