Falter was about wandering the outskirts of the meadow, shifting along the drier areas and looking through..what most would have assumed to be piles of junk. Sadly on this day that was all they were, the poor fawn having found not a thing that could help with his current project, and far to many things that needed tinkering anew to make them beautiful! Too many other things that he couldn't even imagine what to do with them, there was so much to know and it always seemed he knew so little, shira was bold and laby was eloquent..and he wished to invent...how could he do so if he didn't understand the things he was working with!
"Bah, tis too hard to hard! Moi beau ideas, waste waste wasted.." The little brown and indigo fawn flopping down in a heap amongst the grass, puffing at it softly in despair, hoping that..maybe by taking a small break, he would refresh his mind. He just hoped he didn't fall asleep! He never meant for it to happen, but somehow he always ended up sleeping at one point or another...

On this fine weathered day, Apollo found himself traveling at a more lackadaisical pace than usual. The sun beaming brightly, grazing his plumage with a welcoming embrace, the breeze lazy and nonchalant, he couldn't help but fit into the mood that had been set. His eyes set at a half-lidded position, the permanently shrunken pupils staring unblinkingly at the path before him; though he did not follow his eyes to know where to go. The simple eb and flow of his surroundings pulled and whispered to him of where to follow. What was around him, and what was hidden. Long sharp talons barely made a sound as they clung to the rich earth below with great care, as if coddling the precious soil. Gossamer wings glistened effortlessly as the large birdla found himself stepping into the canopy of the shrouding forest, brief glimpses of light easily catching the feathers even in the most smallest of slats. Indeed, today was proving to be a peaceful outing.
The further into the wood the mystical beast treaded, the more he became of its own mood and emotion. It was slumbering quietly, only the rustling of leaves as the winds danced around them, and the scratching of claws climbing along bark, or the twittering of song birds as they passed on one another's measures would sound. But a particular sound did catch to him, one that was out of the ordinary for the current air around him. Blood shot eyes rolling towards the source, he could spot a young fawn in the distance.. rummaging about some sort of loot that had been collected. He looked rather young as well. Had he any parents or a guardian around? Glancing about the area, Apollo confirmed that he and this young buck were the only one's in the vicinity. With that, he took the initiative to make sure this little one was not lost or in danger, taking fluid steps in his direction.

Falters nose twitched, little eyelids fluttering at the feel of warmth. Like a small cozy breeze had just blown across his fur, and yet there was none, not a thing stirring the grass and leaves around him. Sniffing softly, he wondered if he'd simply fallen asleep in a patch of sunlight, that must have been the warm feeling, and the reason he'd felt the need to stir. Upon glancing up he found no such thing, oh there were spots of sun dancing through the leaves yes, but none bright enough or hot enough to wake him. No the day had been nice, not to cold, not too warm..
"Allo?" Falter called as he rose slowly from his crouched position, stretching out his nimble legs, and arching his back until he felt that pleasant pop. "Allo..oh.." Little eyes going wide with the new sight that greeted him. Falter was sure now, it'd not been the sun at all, but instead the suns cousin! Great, winged, beautiful. Feathered that dazzled and glinted with the most simple of movements and slightest touches of sun. Falter envied this other immediately, how one could look so graceful while sprouting such large wings were beyond him..
Even more, how something could be so large and quite obviously deadly, without being frightening in the least bit. "Monsieur..vou ez beau!" Falter blurted suddenly, thoughts and words quite escaping him as he stood there shivering with excitement. His frustration and lack of inspiration quite forgotten for the moment.
