She hadn't meant to sleep with Utatu while her mate was gone, no! If she had it her way, she wouldn't have even done any of it and the lot of them wouldn't be in this situation.
"Rrr.." She had been so foolish! Gritting her teeth and walking a bit farther away from the den, Saha' gave an uncharacteristically violent swipe at a near bush as she passed by. Her darling cubs didn't need to see her like this.

 Kweu had come back to the den with a jackrabbit in his mouth as a gift to Sah for having being gone so long. He felt bad but knew it had needed to be done and he was sure she understood but just in case a gift couldnt hurt he thought.

Ah, there was Kweu' now. Putting an end to her thought filled pacing, Sahaulifu started off to go and greet her mate. "Hello, dear.." She said, voice sounding tired and a little worn out, whether or not it was from caring for the cubs all day or from her stressing over this soon-to-be chat not mattering to Saha' at the moment. Putting on a bit of a saddened smile and giving him a light rub on the cheek with her own, the female sat down. "Is.. that for the cubs?" She questioned with a slight tilt of her head, motioning to the jackrabbit in his mouth with a front paw.

Kweu smiled at her around the jackrabbit in his mouth. He than set it down in front of her. "No Hun its for you."He spoke lovingly. "Its a forgive-me present for being gone so long. I really didn't expect it to happen."He than nuzzled her and showed her love. "Whats wrong Saha? You sound tired."

"For me?" Saha' exclaimed as she watch him set the small creature's body down at her feet, giving a blink of her eyes in light surprise. Giving him a better smile than the previous one, she let out a short purr to show her appreciation. "Thank you~ But I couldn't eat this by myself.. so let's share it, hm? I insist, Kweu'." The cheetah curled her long tail around her paws and body once hearing his question, ears slipping back against her head. "Maybe.." She said in reply to his statement about her being tired before continuing. "I wanted to talk before you have to leave tomorrow to look for our new home. About.. Um... Utatu and I."

Kweu' rubbed his head against Saha's chest. "You are welcome my dear. No I'm fine. What you dont eat you can save for the cubs right?" He watched as her body changed when he asked her what was wrong. He tilted his head to the side and his ears twitched. "What about you two?" He asked blinking unsure of what was going on.

Wait.. he had no clue about the fling she had with Utatu? "I'm... I'm not quite sure how to say this." She thought he would something! Digging a front paw slightly into the ground, Sahaulifu bit her lip gently. This wasn't good. "You know how my short-term memory loss hits me sometimes, right?.. Well... when y-you were away looking for your friends, it happened once. And.." She sucked in a breath slowly before releasing it. "Um... Utatu. He isn't just a good friend I made while you were gone. He and I.. It hurts to say this, but I think I forgot about you because of the memory loss. A-and he stayed with me." This was so hard to talk abou- 'Ow.'
A fang nipped at her lip, causing it to bleed a little in her mouth. Using this as a sort of excuse to not talk, Saha' turned her head away from Kweu'Chini. It was just a small little river in her mouth before it stopped a moment later. "From what I can recall, he stayed with me. In the den." She said simply, keeping her face away from his eyes.

Kweu nodded slowly. "Yes I remember." He said still unsure of where this was going but he had a bad feeling. He looked her in the eye. "Saha what happend?"

Seeing Kweu' looking her in the eye startled Saha', causing her to cast her gaze down at her feet. Her ears were now pinned against her head, tail limp in defeat. "We slept together.. A few times. It's hard to remember, but it was definitely more than once." Pink eyes beginning to water with soon-to-be tears, the female let out a soft grumble, more at herself than anyone else. "I f-forgot about you. I di-.." She said, allowing the tears that were dribbling down her cheeks plop down against her fur, not caring much about something as silly as appearances right now. "I'm so sorry, Kweu'. I didn't mean to.." Saha' kept her crying muffled, not wanting to risk waking Jini', Anti' and Kich' from their slumber. "I didn't know it was possible to forget someone, even temporarily..."
All of this was her fault.

Kweu sat there in shock. He hurt and his facial expression was disbelief. He had no clue what to do or what to say.

She didn't know what to do after her confession. By now Sahaulifu was a wreck, the ground at her feet dotted and spotted with a growing collection of dripped tears. "Darling, I'm s-sorry..." She removed her tail from around her, letting it lay limp on the ground as her front paws went out to brace herself, head hanging low to the ground as she tried to keep herself quiet. A moment of silence, with bits of the female's sobbing breaking through at times, and then Saha' had given up. Flopping onto her belly completely now with her face tucked into her paws, she curled up, feeling completely defeated.
For the first time in her life, she felt ashamed.
She whimpered quietly, curling her tail around her entire body once again in an attempt to gain some form of comfort. She knew Kweu' wasn't likely to do anything, and peeking through her wet and clumped fur with a glance and seeing him in shock confirmed this.

Kweu bared his teeth in anger. He really felt betrayed. He wanted to snap at Saha but knew it really wasnt her fault. He wanted to rip Utata. Growling he asked "Where is he?"

"Kweu', no!" Saha' said, ears pinned back against her head as she shakily forced herself to stand up. Ugh, she felt horrid. But she had to get up, to keep him well away from Utatu, at least for now. And that aside, she didn't want all of the commotion waking the cubs from their sleep. Giving a shake of her head as she stood up, the female stuck a leg out firmly in front of his front ones, trying to block his way. "S-sweetheart, it's not his fault. It's mine." Casting a glance over at the den, reassuring herself that her darlings were sound asleep, she stared Kweu'Chini down. "Leave Utatu alone. Please. Please." She whispered sternly to her mate, her voice urgent despite her recent crying.

"Why should I? Why shouldn't I rip his throat out?"He asked in anger. He was almost in a rage. He looked down at Saha with questioning eyes.

Shooting a glare at the leopard, her loving, courageous, knight of a leopard, Sahaulifu nearly hissed out her next words. "Because he's not the one responsible for this, Kweu'." Letting out a strained huff, she looked away, all the while still keeping her position in front of him. "Utatu knew nothing of you when we met, and he had no way of knowing I already had a mate.." Thinking about her stupid, stupid memory loss and the problem it caused almost started the tears up in her eyes once again, but she held them back. "And I'm sorry, but whether you like it or not, he will be staying with all of us.. Until we get this entire thing resolved. Until we really know who the cubs' father is."
"All of this is my fault..." She began thinking to herself out loud quietly for a moment, staring at the ignored jackrabbit's body near the two of them. Saha' then turned her head to look back at her mate. "So, if anyone, it should be me receiving punishment for all of this. I'm sorry, but you won't be laying a paw on Utatu. Not around the cubs. I won't allow it."
