I'm still all wound up
Don't know how things are going to play out
And haven't gotten a paycheck for anything yet.

Jobs. rofl rofl

Looks like I'm finally employed too. I sign contract stuff to become an employee at starbucks, and I'm making a little extra helping out with housework for a doctor and being a personal assistant for a lawyer.

If things go really well I may just drop the starbucks job and work as a personal assistant exclusively.

Being a personal assistant is SWEET.
Resume boost that is. I imagine its not always fascinating, but I'm still mad jealous.

the PA (personal assistant, i mean) thing seems fascinating, it reminds me of those great private secretaries of yore who were the key person in the retinue of some great man.

sort of like Boswell.

That's what I'm trying to imagine the position to be myself. Who knows how it -really- is though.

I have a small side job helping a guy clean his house, 10 bucks an hour for 3-4 hours a week. It's nice extra money, but the two times I've gone to help so far all the cash has disappeared the very same day on food or gas. crying

Gas is so expensive! I kind of miss not having a car for that reason.

i hear there is a big controversy up in northeastern Colorado, up to Cheyenne and over into Nebraska.

They want to drill two miles down for shale oil; it will prolly mess up the new housing out there, and maybe the environment, but it should also provide lots of new gasoline as it has done in the Dakotas.

how do you feel about that, being out there now and everything?
