“Watch your back... and your belongings...”…The Story…
Mercurius/Dismas let out a disgruntled breath as he stood atop of a remote desert cliff, sending particles of dust swirling into the breeze. Below him, a tribe went happily about their ways, kits darting between their elders’ legs, oblivious to the presence of a great Modeity above them.
Dark eyes narrowed at that thought. He had been a great Modeity, until those…imbeciles he shared the heavens with began to condemn his actions. As if he was the worst of the lot! But no, no one wanted to even so much as look at their evil kindred.
Pah. He spat on the ground in disgust. Even he, the most cunning and adept of his kind, could not operate in the chaos that those holier-than-thou morons were creating for him. He needed somewhere isolated, somewhere they would not bother him, to start a tribe of his own…then let them see what happened when they challenged him. His tribe of followers would pillage from the others’, creating havoc all in his name. And those pansies would do nothing to stop it; none of them would stoop so low as to kill a fox.
He smirked to himself. Yes, they would rue the day they tried to force their uptight attitudes on him.
Now only one obstacle remained in his way; this tribe below him was living in the caves he had already chosen for his followers. But no matter; there was no love lost between he and their patron goddess, and they would be easily rid of.
Indeed, when the naïve foxes woke in the bright desert morning, it was to find all of their precious stores of food and herbs completely gone, stolen in the night. With no supplies left, the tribe had moved on within two days.
Loki sauntered into the now vacant territory and looked around, eyes scanning every nook and cranny, making sure it was up to a true thief’s standards. Another smirk graced his face.
Yes.
…Beliefs… The foxes of the Harami Order believe that everything is free. No one truly owns anything, for ownership is only an implied force. These foxes reject this.
They steal, and are notorious among other tribes for their thievery. They raid other tribes, which infuriates the others.
The worship the God of Greed, who is also the God of Thieves.
…Accepted Personalities… The Harami Order welcomes all foxes who have a lust for possessions while obeying the rules of The Order. Personality types would include greedy and sly.
They do not welcome the violent.
…Any questions if your fox will fit? PM Shi…

The Vagabond [Elder]:: [Avaritia] The Marauder [Beta]:: [Nefertiti] The Swindlers [Shaman]:: [Amali] The Bandits [Hunters]:: [Aekea] The Seekers [Gatherers]:: [Kylar] The Deceivers [Scouts]:: [Morin] The Teachers [Carers]:: Tribe Members::
Interested Foxes::
…Job Descriptions…
The Vagabond:: The head of The Order and master of the art of thievery. She can pray to the Modeity and makes the final decisions for The Order. She commands respect due to her abilities, though she is very friendly.
The Marauder:: The Second-In-Command of The Order and also an adept thief. She is always referred to by The Vagabond for her input and watches over The Order to make sure everyone stays in line, for a tribe of thieves can get to be quite chaotic.
The Swindlers:: These foxes have a way with words and a deft set of paws when it comes to retrieving riches. They have mastered the art of cheating other foxes out of their possessions, and sometimes even their kills. Along with this, they also have their duties as a typical Shaman, which include tending to the sick and injured. They also have the ability to read astrological signs.
The Bandits:: These are the muscle of The Order. They are the most violent of The Order members, usually threatening other foxes if they do not hand over their treasures. They are also the ones sent in for a raid to ransack tribes, though usually they are found roaming about the lands hunting food for The Order.
The Seekers:: These are the detecters of The Order. They are skilled for finding riches for the tribe to steal and have mastered the art of gathering information. They also gather herbs with the Swindlers and gather the kills with the Bandits. They also gather fruits and vegetables for food.
The Deceivers:: These members of The Order are essential to The Order's secrecy. They patrol the territories borders, and if any foreign paw sets food on the land, they use their silver tongue to dissuade the passerby to continue on their advance on The Order's territory. They can also alert the Hunters when the herds of large animals come in.
The Teachers;; They take care of the precious kits who are the future of the tribe. They are responsible for them unless the kits are in a training session for a job. They also take the blame if the kits are lost, though the punishment isn't severe unless they kits are never found or found dead. When the kit comes of age, they teach the kit's future job, as well as educate the kit about The Order. They also teach incoming members of The Order.
Tribe Members:: Tribe Members are simply foxes in training to be attain one of the ranks above.

Today was a good day.
The white vixen quietly prowled toward the nearby steep precipices, tail gently swaying behind her, a contented smirk evidently plastered on her muzzle despite the fact that a decent-sized bag hung from her mouth. From the bag came a faint jingling of metallic objects striking together. For those who knew the vixen, they knew that the contents of the bag had to be of some significant value, for she was not a kleptomaniac and did not steal useless items. Why the assumption that the vixen had stolen these items? Hell, it was Avaritia; she never negotiated for anything.
She quickly scaled the cliffs, periodically shaking her head to move her thick, heavily layered hair back into position. Her hair was a trademark of hers, one shared only by one other fox: Nefertiti. Speaking of the other fox, where was that little devil? If anyone would be pleased about these pilfered goods, it would be her. Not to mention these were gold pieces of jewelry, and Avaritia knew how much Nefertiti appreciated gold. "Oi, woman," she called out, gently beating the puffy, white end of her tail against the golden rock of the cliff with mild excitement. "I'm back from making an 'honest living'."

"Don't oi at me, I ain't your slave," Nefertiti drawled as she sauntered out of the shadows in the back of their remote home, showing rows of gleaming white teeth as she yawned hugely. "Got a terrible 'abit of comin' back from a so-called honest living while I am sleeping, you know."
The black and tan fox, perhaps even more gaudily adorned than Avaritia, spoke with a muddled, confusing accent. It was a blend of almost human accents, and it shifted and changed even while she spoke. Usually, others decided she sounded '...mostly like a British human...', which suited the vixen's purposes fine. The only one who knew what she sounded like was Nefertiti herself; if no one knew where she was from, the better, in the thief's eyes, and so she continued to manipulate her voice.
Before she continued her half-hearted berating of Avaritia for waking her up from a perfectly good afternoon nap again, the gold-loving vixen sized up the bag she'd brought in. "Oh yea, been reealll honest today, avent'cha?" she snickered. "Some poor wittle human, all alone without their shiny toys and trinkets." The items clinking around in the bag could have been from a tribe just as well, she supposed, but it was rare to pilfer that much from their fellow foxes in one go.
They were just so much smarter than humans.
"Come on then, show me what you've got if you're going to keep me awake. It ain't doing as much good sitting in a bag, you know." The younger vixen left Avaritia to do just that, moving past her to squint outside into the bright sun, like she did every time she woke up. Maybe one day the view would show more than just expanses of sand and dirt; it'd be kind of nice to have others around.

Avaritia rolled her eyes at Nefertiti, chuckling at the vixen's reproach. "Ey, don't act like you don't appreciate the presents I bring," she retorted playfully, dropping the bag. Upon the moment it struck the ground, the contents spilled out from it: gold bracelets, rings, necklaces, and chains. The vixen squinted her eyes, for the reflection of the sun off the golden metal was almost as vivid and merciless as staring at the sun itself. She let out a light, inaudible sigh through her nostrils, eyes trailing after a runaway bracelet. She ambled after it, for a frantic chase was not required. It quickly came to a stop and fell on its side as it collided with a rock jutting up from the cliff. She leaned over and picked it up, turning back towards Nefertiti and the pile of gold trinkets. Gold was so much easier to find these days, and Avaritia had to admit is was quite beautiful, though she was more partial to silver, platinum, and white gold, as her jewelry showed.
Avaritia dropped the bracelet in the pile again, white eyes looking up at Nefertiti's back. "Well, madam, aren't you going to turn around and look?" She sauntered towards the other vixen, eyes fixed on the vast expanse of golden sand and turquoise sea that stretched out to the horizon. It was a very pretty place, and the beauty was only a plus to the fact that this cliff stronghold hid their horde of coveted items so well. It was a small horde, though all was stolen, which was a minor triumph for the two vixens. A few more thieves around would aid them greatly, not to mention neither of them would mind some more pleasant company.

"Presents? Didn' know it was my birthday," Nefertiti said, rolling her eyes goodnaturedly. Their territory still seemed empty, so the vixen turned away from the harsh light of the sun and looked back at the 'presents' Avaritia had brought.
"Well loooookiee here, ya struck gold today," she snickered, sashaying over to the pile of loot. "Where'd ya find all this, a jeweler or somethin'?" For one fox, it was a pretty decent bounty. It was somewhat small for either of their skill levels, but that didn't matter--they'd been bringing in a much more than just two foxes should be able to lately.
Still, some more thieves could only help make their pile shinier.
Nefertiti nosed the gold trinkets, spreading them out to make them easier to see. "Since ya have a thing for silver, I'm takin' the rings," she announced, sliding some human stranger's rings onto her toes. Done rooting through the gold and knowing Avaritia wouldn't want any of it, she made quick work of pushing the gold jewelry into their ever-growing pile. A pile that was notably missing one thing: food.
"Ava, we're gonna 'ave to go huntin' again soon," she muttered, swishing her tail irritably. She hated hunting; it was messy, and it was such a pain to clean blood from her hair and jewelry.

Avaritia frowned with the thought, turning back towards the pile. Her eyes narrowing at the small mound of gold, then she redirected her gaze back to the gold and turquoise landscape. Hunting... The prey here was elusive. They tended to congregate around bodies of fresh water, but that was something any and every desert predator knew. The black fur of the two vixens was a disadvantage as well, for the stark difference between the sand and their black fur tended to give them away when they hunted.
The two of them could always steal the food from some other tribe or predator, or they could even raid a human market. Thievery was undeniably an easier business for the both of them, not to mention it was less messy than hunting. However, carrying food became an issue; it was much harder to transport than little pieces of jewelry and such. Not to mention she had just ransacked a human's jewelry cart at the market, and they were probably hunting the little vagabond responsible.
Aggravated, she lashed her tail. Food was a necessity, but why was it so hard to retrieve?
"Well, you got any ideas?" she asked with a slight pout. It seemed hunting was in their near future, something she was not quite looking forward to.

Morin lazy lied back on the thermal he was happily riding. As of recently he had found himself with nothing to do. He had hung around Kito for awhile, while that nuisance of a Daeva was ‘raising’ his kits, which Morin had taken every opportunity to try and piss the daeva off and of course corrupt the kids into liking him. Now however they where fully grown and off exploring the world. He could go find Kitsumi, the cold phim was always able to keep him busy, however even she had seemingly disappeared. Deciding he should probably find something productive, something caught the corner of his eye. It was a brief bright flash of gold? He half thought he imagined it; however it wouldn’t hurt to check it out would it? Curiosity had killed the cat. Then again he was a modiphim. Doing a back flip in the air he quickly righted himself into a dive hurdling down towards the ground. As he neared he noticed the blurry ground quickly became more focused and seemingly broke apart into cliffs. Weirdly enough he could spot two female modifoxes and wondered if the gold had come from them. Gracefully landing a slight distance away he surveyed the area before turning back towards the two. “Hello” he said figuring he should probably go through the niceties.

They weren't too difficult to find in the canyon, if one knew where to look. Aekea had found a number of the little critters near the cool of the watering hole, not too far away from where she knew the cliffs stood. This is where she typically hunted. She was onlt hunting for herself, so she decided to aim for something small. The family of chinchillas was closest. She slowly crept closer, until she was in pouncing distance.
They didn't see her coming. It didn't take much to take down such small rodents, and she caught two in one swoop. Aekea was merciful: she allowed them quick deaths. She decided she would store one for later, the second kill had been an accident, after all. Aekea hadn't been too hungry in the first place, but was soon finished with every edible part of the first chinchilla. She drank some of the water before leaving, her next meal in her mouth.
The black and white vixen began returning to the area she had claimed for the past few nights. Nearby she could sense other foxes. As she passed the cliffs she could see them almost clearly, and was shocked to see the large, winged creature. She had never seen a Modiphim before, but she decided against approaching. Until she saw the glinting pile of gold near them. She assumed that's what it was, anyways. She walked toward the group slowly, attracted like a moth toward a flame. She remained cautious, though, in case these foxes were too possessive.

"No I don't got any ideas, since when was I a hunt--" Nefertiti cut herself off as a Modiphim descended onto their presence. Kind of unnerved--she had just been musing on new company after--the vixen glanced up at the sky, wondering what their god had up his sleeve now. Weird bugger.
By the time she had looked back down, a black and white checkered female had also come onto the scene. Nefertiti narrowed her eyes; this stranger was the faint scent she'd been aware of for days. What if these two were casing the joint?
Conscious of the fact that there was indeed a large pile of treasure behind her, Nefertiti placed herself in the path of both newcomers. The Phim might've been bigger, but Nefertiti had been tussles and tangles with his less friendly winged kind plenty of times. Daevas were so inconvenient when they woke up mid-thievery.
"'Ey 'ey 'ey, this ain't open territory," she told them. Sure, she and Ava lived off of the concept that everything was free...but damn if she was going to have things stolen from her. "Names and purposes in these parts, give 'em." It wasn't an openly hostile demand, seeing as Nefertiti avoided violence wheneer possible, and these two hadn't done anything yet. But still, she was going to make sure they weren't here to capitalize on the loot. "Otherwise, scoot the boot."
