Kikimaru rubbed his head. "You have got to be kidding me, Maron. I told you things were going to be hard once we separated from old habits." He said, losing his patience with his right hand man. Maron was stubborn and proved that he was more than willing to destroy Kikimaru with any chance he got.

You can't depend on your eyes...
Deni Rae carried a small paper bag through the Kespire Clan Gates, and looked around at for Kikimaru.
She had stopped by the ramen house and grabbed somethign to eat for herself, and for Kikimaru.
This was the first time she had been within his Clan's gates, and she looked about at the others and smiled.
"Where is he?" she asked herself.

He stormed down the street with Maron close at his heels. "I told you already, Maron! I am not changing things to what they use to be! We finally have a chance to do something right than wrong!" Maron growled and hissed. "I knew you'd be trouble. After the way you became head of this clan I'll never know, but trust me, it won't end with a cheer, at least from everyone else." Maron was gone a swift breeze of tabby fur, making Kikimaru scratch his head, frustrated. "Somebody, please go find Maron and calm him down, we don't need another wall broken down." Then he turned around and saw Deni. He pretty much almost fainted. She had seen him being loud and forceful, which made him really shy all of a sudden. "Sorry you had to see that..."

You can't depend on your eyes...
Her eyebrows had lifted as she seen Kikimaru and the other....well, cat-like man near her. She couldn't hear a whole lot about what was going on, but she could tell Kikimaru, was standing his ground... firmly. It was truly admirable to see it.
"Oh, don't apologize!" she said after he had noticed her there.
"Business is business... you do what you need to keep your clan going and your land running smoothly," she said... then let out a small laughing sound. She felt odd standing there.
Then she realized she was still holding the warm paper bag of ramen.
"Oh!" she adjusted the bag, then held it up, "I brought food...I figured, I was overdue for a turn," she smiled as she held the bag up.
Still holding the bag she said, "Hungry?"

He still was embarrassed, but smiled a little, taking the cup. "Thanks. I think I could use one of these." He tilted his head. "Wanna tour around the place? Just finished furnishing the walls of the outside houses."

Smiling warmly, she grabbed herself a cup. "Sure, I would love that. It's so nice today, I could use the excerise and fresh air," she said as she opened her cup. She nearly frowned as she had opened it, "Oops, Kikimaru... You have my cup," she laughed.
"I had figured you would want Tuna... and this is it," she then said, as she held up the steaming cup of ramen.

He blushed and laughed nervously. "Of course! I was wondering why you had tuna." He said as he switched cups with her. "So...uhh...Deni, do you remember that question you asked me yesterday?" He asked nervously.

The Hokage looked at him curiously, "I think so...why do you ask?"
She took her ramen cup, and sipped on the broth a little, then grabbed some with her chopsticks and slurped a few of them.
"About you liking anyone...yes?" she then said, he cheeks were flushed.
'I wonder who it is...' she thought.

He gulped nervously and tugged at the collar of his shirt. "Well...I thought about telling her about the way I feel. Do you really think she will respond back to me?"

She looked at him, trying to read him. "You're really nervous about it, aren't you?" she smiled and moved closer. She looked around and didn't see very many people.
"If you feel as if you need to tell her, then you should. I don't know what the response will be... but if you feel like it is the right time, then you need to do something about it. You may never get a second chance, Kiki... it's better to take a risk, than to have never risked..."

He gulped down as much courage as he could find before pulling her aside and holding her by the shoulders, his hands trembling. "Deni Rai...it's you...you're that girl..." He said finally, a mixture of many different emotions swirling around in those dark eyes of his.

Deni's mouth went dry and she swayed on her feet.
'It's me? It's me?' was all she could think.
She felt dizzy, so she closed her eyes and tried to regain her balance and posture. When she reopened them and looked into Kikimaru's eyes, she realized... that it was her. She could see it in his eyes...she could nearly feel it in her skin.
Suddenly, she panicked. She may have been a hokage, but she still was human. Deni wasn't sure what to say, and was scared by not saying anything... he would think she didn't care. 'I do care... I do care, Kikimaru,' she thought... but she couldn't get a word out. "I...it.......yo-u........me?" was all she could muster to say, and she felt like a failure.
((This may be a good time to go in for a sudden kiss?))

He gulped and bent down his ears. He took a shuddering breath and leaned in a little, getting close to her, but also wanting to give her space if she needed it. When she didn't react, he gently brushed his lips against her softly.

Deni's eyes went wide and her face felt hot. She tensed up for a moment, after feeling his lips on hers. After a second she relaxed, nearly melting. She smiled slightly and kissed him back, a little firmer than he had her. her body swayed again and she pulled back, feeling odd... she smiled at him, then looked down as a soft blush swept over her face in embarrassment.
