Surprise, surprise. Sheldon Hobbes was currently occupying a park bench on a random afternoon for no particular reason. And smoking. Though, this park was a little ways away from his usual haunts - which were closer to home, work and the mall - no, this one was a few blocks away from his current avoidance. School. Something he hadn't needed to avoid for a few hours now, given his last class of the day had already let out. But Sheldon didn't carry a watch - his phone didn't count - and didn't really care anyways. Sitting was nice, not going to school was equally as nice.

He had attempted, clearly indicated by him still wearing his lovely SHliP uniform, being it was one of the first few weeks of it being reopened by that odd epidemic that had struck the city. But, they were as boring and dull as usual, so Sheldon slipped out. Like usual. And given his long few weeks of lethargy and being tweeked out on weed for a good part of it, his limbs didn't want to go far. Thankfully, Destiny City seemed to be abundant with parks and little patches of green with park benches.

[okay, so maybe that was a reason, but regardless] The green hair boy sighed contently, slouching into the staple green-colored park bench that lined a circle of oak trees. This was nice, he smiled, flicking the end of the cigarette to let the ashes flutter to the ground.

Sheldon's gold eyes glanced from side to side once the black haired kid stated his greeting. Was there someone.. else around? No, he didn't see anyone else in his peripheral vision and he wasn't in the mood to give a broader look around. So, wait. "Me?" The SHliP student asked, pointing to himself as an emphasis.

He was now missing the point to return the gesture of good faith and respond with a 'hello' from himself, now just wondering what the other boy wanted. Often people came up to him to lecture him on the virtues of quitting smoking - which he was now defensed against with the ability to zone it out and nod at what seemed like relevant times. Could also be asking the time, or directions. Maybe, he could only hope it was something so simple. Conversation was never something Sheldon liked and who knows what the other boy wanted. So, he took to just blinking at Azzo, curiously.

"Oh." Sheldon mouthed, looking down briefly to confirm he was indeed wearing his school uniform. It had been a few hours, he had gotten comfortable and it had slipped his mind.

He could, however, make a witty comment about his attire. But he really wasn't in the mood, "sure. Sometimes." Okay, a little one... even though it really wasn't that funny. But Sheldon gave a small friendly enough smile to the dark haired boy.

"You got some questions or something?" Here we go.

Sheldon blinked a few times and pursed his lips together for a moment, trying to think of a decent answer to give the other boy. He was clearly the wrong person to ask about a school he barely attended unless being tested or forced by the hand of the all mighty Beverly Hobbes.

"Its .... school," the green haired teen shrugged, not sure of what else to say. He flicked at his forgotten cigarette, noting that had pretty much burned itself out without him touching it. Sigh. He looked back up at Azzo after shoving the butt of it into the dinky sand circle that lined the trashcan. "I'm probably not the best person to ask, but its at least easier to ditch than Meadowview ever was." He could at least offer that tidbit with a smile.

Sheldon made a noise that seemed a mix of a cough and a chuckle, it was short and quick but none the less smiled at Azzo's remark of his old high school. It had seemed a promising place when he had first gone there, but things had gone downhill; though a lot was his own doing, but whatever.

"Sheldon Hobbes," He offered in return, piling Azzo's own name into his folder system at the back of his brain. Honestly though, he wouldn't have gotten any connection to that twilight series with his name; did Sheldon even look like someone who read or watched that stuff? If anything, the green haired boy's own last name would probably associate him with a stuffed tiger toy [or a philosopher, but who knew that stuff these days?].

"Well, you'll just get to go to a new place that you want to get away from once you finish with Meadowview." Sheldon shrugged, not really offering anything helpful or promising.

It could be said that for a small iota of a moment, Sheldon was interested in why Azzo was being held back a little. It lingered for a bit, at what kind of offense could bring something like this up as well as with a boy wanting to attend SHliP afterwards [you needed recommendations for this place after all].

"Interesting." Sheldon muttered with a raised eyebrow, probably more for Azzo's benefit than his own as the latter shook his head. "They'd let you attend Sovereign Heights even with being held back?" Oh, so maybe the concern had lingered longer than he had anticipated. Or maybe this was just becoming a puzzle that Sheldon wanted to figure out.

Oh, so it was more of a medical problem that had hindered his dark haired companion. Sheldon nodded in understanding, though he had no officially lost interest in the matter given how many medical epidemics had happened within Destiny City in the past year; really, with the few that had happened a number of them could land a student behind.

Azzo's next statement quirked the green haired boy's interest again, and the expression on his face made it obvious. Sheldon found it odd, "isn't it overwork anyways to get into SHliP? Even DCU? Isn't that half the point though?" He could remember his parents nagging on and on about every little thing he needed to get done to attend his next fateful step in his education, even though they did most of it. "Like all those recs you have to get and the essays and all that weird s**t." Sheldon sighed, "odd how it is, and then you can pretty much breeze through the actual school course but have to bend over backwards to get in."

"I wouldn't say impossible," Sheldon attempted to correct his wording. He might not like people too much, but he didn't really want to discourage someone else's ambitions. "It's just a lot of unnecessary work that I never liked too much, I'm sure most other people didn't find it too hard." He offered a weak smile, hoping that his explanation offered anything better to Azzo.

And then followed it with a nod, "Well, it was nice meeting you Azzo." His smile spread a little, "Good luck with things."
