Lately, all her children had been causing her a bit of a headache. They were all so rowdy and wanting to play and wander off. Molemogi had the job of rounding them all up, along with Fila. Fila was a life savor, truly. The Banu helped Mollie with disciplining her cubs, teaching them hunting, training the Banu to do a good job for the Pesar or Pad. She wanted her girls to be just like herself. Molemogi knew she was one of the better Banu she'd met, but she didn't let it go to her head. Unlike some of the other Banu, Mollie didn't have to train to be like this; it was just how she was.
Time away was minimal, but she finally managed to get away and have time to herself. That's why she was sunning on a large rock, on her side, green eyes opened just a little bit to look out at her den. She was slowly falling asleep, though, what with the sun and everything.
Gubari was just as much a handful as the rest of his siblings. He wasn't as energetic as some, but he sure was a rowdy little scamp with a knack at the play fighting. At the moment, though, he wasn't in the mood for such games and because of this he came seeking his mother. He had watched her wander off from the den to go sun on a rock and had decided to follow after her once he was certain she was asleep.
His chubby little paws pitter pattered quietly against the hard ground beneath him as he snuck up on his mother, wanting to scoot in next to her somewhere on the rock and leech some of the heat from the rock and herself. As he got there, he peeked up over the rock to see her, red and yellow eyes blinking for a moment. He than attempted to hop onto the rock with her, but found himself a little too pudgy to be able to do it himself and made a stern face, as if starring the rock down to make it come down to his level.
He would make it let him on there as he whispered to it," You let me up with mommy, evil rock."
Though the black lioness had been asleep, Mollie knew when her cubs were near, even if it was only one. So, when she heard somone scrambling on her rock, her ears flicked toward the noise, but she pretended to be asleep. Once she heard the whisper, however, Mollie gave a silent laugh and shifted to her stomach, making more room for him. Seeing it was Gubari, Mollie picked him up by the scruff of his neck and put him up on the rock next to her before licking his mane. "Hello, Gubari. I thought you were with Banu Fila and your siblings." Her smile was pleasent, as was her tone. No, she didn't mind that he'd escaped. One cub right now was fine. But all of them? Including her two oldest daughters? That was too much for her.
She peeked toward the den to note that Afsar was sitting outside of the den, frownig at Gubari. She watched her pale daughter turn and go back into the den, probably to keep the others inside. "Was Afsar too rough for you today? I've told her time and again to be gentle.."
"Sister was ok, Mommy. Guubi just wanted to see you. Did I do bad?" Gubari asked. He had been havgin trouble pronouncing his names and the names of others, often finding himself getting tongue tied or switching syllables around. It wasn't anything big, and he'd sure to grow out of it once her got older, but for now he liked to refer to everyone by nicknames or as his sister or brother. For himself, he decided on being called Guubi, because he thought it made him sound snugly, and since he was being jabbed at for being a bit... hefty, he decided to spin it around and make it a good thing.
"And I was, but Banu Fila busy with everyone else. And I thought Mommy would be lonely without us," He explained, his little cub brain deciding that without him and his siblings his mother would die of loneliness and than his Daddy would get lonely and also die and after that Fila would get sad and lonely too and eventually they would be all alone. It was a good thing Gubari never articulated his thoughts, otherwise he'd probably be called silly on a daily basis from all the weird things he thought were the truths of his own reality.
Silly thoughts, indeed! But she wasn't aware of that, so she couldn't tell him he was being silly. Instead, the black lioness pressed her face against his own and laughed again. "You did good, Gubari. Don't worry about that." Unless her children went and killed someone, they could do no wrong in her eyes. With a little smirk, she nuzzled his neck and let out a loud purr. She loved snuggling her chubby cubs. All of them were chubby, honestly, because she fed them so much all the time. Mollie didn't want to have the cubs stomach's empty. "Fila is very busy, isn't she? She's your other mommy, so she helps me a whole lot with you lot! Rowdy cubs.." She smirked and stretched out, crossing her paws over one another before closing her eyes.
"So, Gubari, tell me what you want to do the rest of the day. Swim? Play? Do you want to go see your father sometime before he gets home?" She was a very inquisitive person when she talked.
Gubari purred back at to his mother and nuzzled her, the chubby ball of fur dripping affection like he was just bathed in it. He loved time with his mother, he loved time with his father and Fila too, but he loved Mommy time the most. Gubari listened intently as his mother spoke to him, complimenting Fila for her for the time and effort she put in to make sure that the cubs were ok and that she wasn't overworked. Gubari nodded at this, making sure to make a note in his simple little head to make sure Fila knew that he loved Fila too and was happy she was there.
"I want to do whatever makes Mommy happy," He said, his little ears perking up as he smiled wide for his sweet mother. He let his tail sway side to side for a moment before speaking up again, "If Mommy wants to swim and play and go see Daddy, so do I."
He'd do anything he could at this age to please his mother, father and Fila. Even if it meant being drug along to things he didn't care one way or another about doing. Granted, at this moment he would be happy doing anything with his Mother. He had her to himself for the moment, and it wasn't something he usually got the chance for.
