Another tree, for another day. She decided this was the best tree she had found all week. It was fat, and could hold her much better. She could actually keep most of her body on the biggest branch there was. A bit of her fat hanging over the sides. Of course, she wasn't THAT huge, but she was fatter then most leopards out there. She flicked her tail and happily finished the small gazelle she happened to catch by chance. It wasn't much, it was a baby, and had broken it's leg. She was just lucky she got to it before a lion did. Oh she loved to eat.
She licked her paws carefully and slowly as she cleaned it's blood and bits of fur left on it. The parts she didn't want or couldn't eat fell to the ground with a loud thump. She wasn't the cleanest leopard when it came where she dropped her garbage. Someone else would want it, she figured. Like other scavengers. Her eyes were shut as she started to clean her face with her paw. A smug look upon her face. Today was quite good.

Layla was off absent mindfully wandering on her own. she had made friends with pembe and was happy to have him as one. humming to herself, she did not expect to have a peice of gazelle drop on her while passing by a tree. "OUCH!" huffing a little and shaking her head, she now started to look for where it had come from. upon seeing the leopard, she tilted her head. "you do realize you can hurt someone dropping things like that."

Karaglen eyed the female, not having known someone would be stupid enough to carelessly walk by a tree. Especially when she was in it. "Perhaps you should look before walking under a tree" She simply said. Not really rudely, but more of a "You should know these things" type of thing. The female was rather dark. Darker then herself. It interested her. At first she couldn't tell she was a lion, but thought her as a leopard. Until she focused her eyes better. Cleaning and looking wasn't really as easy as it looked.
She put her paw down, now satisfied that she was as clean as she was gonna get. She eyed the bit she had dropped and the lioness there. "Anyone who knows about climbing would know that you shouldn't walk under them without checking to see if someone is in it." To her, this was all common sense. And thought it quite odd that the female would take disregard to something so simple.

layla wrinkled her muzzled with a huff. she couldn't believe how rude this leopard was being. sure she wasn't the smartest but that was no reason to be rude to her. " i don't climb trees at all and i guess i lack common sense then." frowning, she was now no longer in her happy go lucky mood. signing, she flicked her ears back since she felt a bit stupid at the moment.

That was apparent. The voice of the other didn't seem to be pleased with what she had to say. Karaglen shrugged it off. Looking from the lioness to the stuff she had dropped, then back to the lioness. "No reason to be upset." she told her "I wasn't trying to be rude." She stated to the other. Maybe it was the way she worded things that got her into trouble. "I am just saying, one should look up towards things that are bigger then them. " She nodded " You never know what could be in it. Weather it's something good, or something that could hurt you." She looked at the other carefully now.
Maybe she was just the one who was running into short tempered creatures. She flicked her tail about slowly. She was in a content mood, nothing could change that. Not even a grumpy lioness.

"i guess your right." Layla perked up a bit and had only a tiny smile on her face. it was never too hard to get her cheery again if she got upset over something. " what is your name? mines Layla." staring up the tree, she was now wondering just how hard it was to get up a tree. " do you always lay in trees?" she defiantly was easy to distract and she tended to jump subjects rather fast.

Karaglen noted the change of mood. It almost was frightening how fast she came back from that. She didn't know what to think with this female. Did she have some type of chemical imbalance that made her mood swings shift so much? She didn't want to ask. She eyed her for a moment, then decided it was best to just continue the change of subject. That way the other doesn't get angry again. With having to explain that she wasn't the best with making things nicely sounded.
"I'm Karaglen." She said in a nod. It wasn't a good name, but it fit her enough, she supposed. "Well, that's a silly question" She said. Trying to make it obvious. "All leopards do." She said with a nod. Though, she was probably the most lazy leopard out there. She only hunted if she couldn't find something to eat that someone else left.

Layla did not think her question was silly at all but that was her. shrugging off the fact she thought her question was silly, she grinned. " nice to meet you." it seemed she was gaining more friends or so she thought. " i guess that is true, but since im no leopard i wouldn't know." shrugging, she sat down and still looked up in the tree at Karaglen. "you ever bother to come down alot?"

Karaglen didn't see the other as a friend. They had only just met after all. She tilted her head and thought about the question the lioness asked. Well, she didn't think about it until then. "I guess, I don't" She said with a shrug. "I mean, I have a new tree every day." She said. "I have to hunt after all." She added. She didn't like to retrace her steps. She liked to always be moving somewhere new, though sometime soon she'd have to give that up. At least she figured she would. She wasn't as young as she use to be. "Don't you like trees?"

" i like laying in the shade under them but i don't climb up into them." Layla curled her tail around her legs as she sat there. " i bet i would just hurt myself somehow if i tried to climb a tree." chuckling, she started to wonder what it would be like to climb a tree and lay out of a branch. she figured it had to be fun being able to get that high and just chill out. "how fun is it up there?"

Hurt one's self? Karaglen forgot that lions really couldn't climb. Then again, she didn't know any that were close enough to call friends to ask them certain details. She raised a brow at the other. "You can't know for sure until you tried it." She said with a nod. Then she asked her another question. How fun was it? Well... she couldn't answer that. How fun was it to walk? How fun was it to breath air? It just came natural to her. "Well.... I wouldn't know, It's not like it's something new for me." Fun would be like running away from some crazed creature trying to kill her. Or if a branch broke that she was in far up off the ground. Then again, she had weird sense of idea for fun.

" i don't think i will try it any time soon." Layla just shrugged and got up to stretch. things were getting dull for her and her attention span was drifting away. " guess something you do all the time can't be fun at all." yawning boredly, she flicked her tail with a sigh.

Karaglen decided this conversation was far too boring as well. She actually stood up from her branch, that she so happened to like. Annoyed as she was, she jumped down. She didn't see the female leaving anytime soon, so she decided it was time to get her fat a** moving. She looked at the female, before looking away. "I guess I'll find another tree." She said with a shrug. Without saying anything else, she moved away from the other. It was a rude move, she knew it, but didn't care. It wasn't something she did often, but this female was boring, and didn't seem like she was going away. Or perhaps, Karaglen was the boring one... She didn't quite know.
Finished.
