Once upon a time, Cynthia was a normal little girl with a pretty normal family. Her mother stayed home while her father worked a nine to five at his office. Nothing too remarkable had ever happened to them. She went through school like a normal child and had all the problems that normal children did. Bullies. A D on her spelling test. That sort of thing.
High school rolled around and she began experimenting with herself. Her beliefs. Her style. And eventually that spurred a sort of drifting between herself and her family. She found art, an uncanny talent for putting her wildest dreams to canvas, and slowly lost touch with her loved ones. And eventually, they stopped trying to reach out. Her parents didn’t divorce. There was no great tragedy in her life. She graduated high school with flying colors and got on with her life. Her parents were always proud of her, this she knows. But so immersed in her art and her self exploration, she lost sight of them and their love for her.
Now she lives on her own above an old Chinese food place, alone. She works the closing shift at a local CD store and in her free time, she turns to her canvases or simply slips into the realm of dreams.

Zed is less like an individual but more like the collective minds of those he has created with. With each human mind he manipulates and explores him self and his universe. There there could be millions of Zed like entities roaming the dream world, or he could be the only. He does not know where his life began or if he will ever have and end.
Known by some as a dream weaver, he is the escort to the stars. When people sleep he carries them away to the zoid of imagination. Zed creates the void for people and allows them to fill it with their deepest desires. He allows people to do the impossible, what ever they can do he can create. What ever they can create, he can do.
As of late, there have been fewer of his kind or perhaps he has grown weaker. His power has been being drained my science, physics, math, and reality. As more people learn more about their world and how reality works the less likely they are to dream big, dream of the impossible, dream of the fantastic, dream of the void. Some of the greatest inventions can be traced from dreaming the impossible, so in a sense, Zed creates his own destruction.

She doesn't realize that she has made her human a bit unhappy in this, but she works hard to keep him happy, and thus she feels that he is happy. She would rather that the war between the nightmares and the dreams was not going on, seeing as how her human is in danger from it, but she is a fierce fighter when he is threatened. Personality:
Sheridan can be very shy around others, this is due to her fears and dislikes. But when she is at her place she is happy and likes to sing as well as write. She writes books and poems as well as songs. When her Nightmare is around she is almost like a statue until he is able to break through her mental defenses, breaking her mental walls down. Because of her past Sheridan has a very hard time trusting people, which is what lead to her fear of being surrounded. She can be very calm externally but internally she is very twitchy and fearful of being around others.

When Sheridan was a child she was abused by her mother and father when they were tired of abusing each other. At the age of four she had already been to the hospital at least five different times for broken bones from 'falling' down their home stairs. When she was thirteen her father raped her, which lead to her getting pregnant. After giving birth to a baby girl she gave her daughter up for adoption, which cause her father to abuse her more. At the age of sixteen she was emancipated and changed her name from Marissa Katra Darling to Sheridan Nemesis Vane. At the time of her name change Sheridan had visited the hospital so many time that she had lost count, had so many broken bones that she stopped counting when she had been eight.
After changing her name Sheridan moved from Arizona to Seattle to make sure her parents couldn't find her again. She was able to run away from home because she had left school and had taken a Gray Hound bus to Seattle after saving up money for years. There had been times when she had thought that her parents had found her hidden money but thankfully they never did. Since that day she has been going to school, going to work, and just taking care of herself. Sheridan finished high school and started going to college to become a librarian. She takes night classes and works at Barns & Noble's in the afternoon before her classes start. What she does when she isn't working, going to class, or sleeping is read, write, listen to music or sing.

Tsume is a collected person, always thinking out things in a business like manner until he can't stand it any more and goes mad from the constant pressure. He is ease to get along with but is hard to befriend. He's normally cold and uncaring but to those who he allows to get close enough, he will show he 'nicer' side. He sometimes will snap if he pushed too far or something triggers a bad memory (which he tries to suppress).

Tsume was a happy child living in Hell with his father and older brother. He was hated by his brother but he was unaware at the time. When he got older, his brother secretly (unknown to their father) had beaten and humiliated Tsume several times until he became 9 and tried to stand up to him. He tried to fight back but Touya with his black heart ripped out Tsume's right eye and crushed it so he could never be able to place it back. Not only did he rip his eye out, he violated him and crushed his very soul. When he became 14 he tried to commit suicide but failed seeing how if he died, he only ended up in Hell anyways. He was left with a scar on his neck which he still hides today. A day later his brother found out of his attempt and only added to the pain as he carved the words "CURSED" into his throat.
That was the last straw, he found his way to the surface world and tried to escape the pains of Hell only to stumble into a caring man with white hair and red eyes. For years they were friends and the man, whom name was Gon, had taught Tsume had to hone his water abilities, considering how he couldn't in Hell. He was thankful to him for teaching him all about the world and everything else he knew. This lead up to a more imitate relationship where they spend less time training and studying and more time in each other's arms.
A few blessful years later, Touya caught word of Tsume's doings and went to right this horrid wrong. He killed his beloved and Tsume couldn't but fall into a depress.
After spending a thousand more years in hell, he left to seize the world and take the damned to Hell.
His life went on with more eventful and saddening stories but they are too long to explain here and now.
He currently stuck in the dream realm dying to be freed form his prison.

Julia grew up on the east side of Texas with her parents and her sister. She was a red blooded Texan with a hint of Louisna hospitality. Their family owned a small cattle ranch that she would help her father with all the time. Life was good up till she was 13, A hurricane blew in one month and threatened their ranch. The family decided to weather the storm but that was a fatal mistake. Flood waters had built up and crashed into their small farm. Julia and her sister were safe but her parents trapped by the flood waters. She had a chance to save them but was too scared to act. Her parents perished in the waters, which began the down ward spiral of her life.
After that, her sister and herself moved from one foster care to another, Julia never let go of her parents through her travels. She knew it was her fault that she killed her parents and hated that she lived and they died. She grew to be uncontrollable as a youth, lashing out at others and roaming with the wrong kind of people. She eventurally ran away from her foster parents and her sister to pursue a life of sin all her own.
6 years had passed since her parents died and she had herself a small apartment all her own. She was doing well for herself as a bartender in some down town city area. Every couple of nights she would slip into a depression that she would either take out on the bar or alone in her room. One night she decided to take it out on her room, it was the misfortune that her long lost sister would find her once more there. That memory was foggy but Julia's sister wound up in the hospital and she on the run again. At this point in her life she doesn't know what to live for, all she has is the present and her youth.

Duke likes to torture his victims before slashing them up in a gorey manner. The torture normally involves lightly cutting them up, letting them run ragged, slash off limb or two, and other way to keep them alive. He's a cronic liar (being a nightmare of demons he's very slick with his lies) and always smiling. He may make a joke or two. It's not considered wise to trust him because of these. Though he'll try to become friends only to learn about his victim and kill them. He like to sing during a chase or when he just feels like it. Duke knows what he wants and won't be afraid to take anyone down to get it. He's also alittle perv and likes to play with the girls. When he gets into the chase his facial appearance will change. Duke was created to mostly teach lessons to the humans. Whether it would be something from the 'Seven Deadly Sins' or something that was just a demon in general. Duke will torture criminals or scare people to the point of wetting their beds over and over. The job became tedious as he was only able to do was to scare and torture till their lesson was learned. Then he would move on to someone else.
This quickly changed when the rift open and he went on a complete killing spree. Everyone was his target, good, bad, or indifferent. He learned that the queen sent people to hunt them down. So he bonded to a new female human. Duke wouldn't go as far as kill her. But he does like to scare, act loving, or torture her. At times he'll strike her deals to prolong certain events. However, it's not to say that theres days where they'd just talk.
Lately, he's developed an ambition to become the next Devil.

Nia is a Nightmare that spawned from hundreds of people and their fear of pain but only one person is truly called her creator. She was one of the first to bond with her creator, but because of this most consider her weak and vulnerable. Her gear was a gift from the one she fears the most, The King Of Nightmares. She has found out over the years that every one has something very painful hiding deep within.
Only two people have seen her as the hydra, one is the King and the other is her creator. She trully loves how easy it is to mess with the humans nerves causing the great pain. Many wonder why she loves to cause pain but no one knows not ever she knows why. She is now forced into the war with the Dreams. Even though she is against it she still fights from fear. She has also developed a taste for kimonos.
Even though she has multiple heads each of them has their own form of intelligence. The head she named 'Love' is the only one which isn't attached to her. It mostly spends its time on snake like bodies Nia makes for it. Love is Nia's youngest yet deadliest head. It can cause anyone to fall in love with it. Then when they get close Love injects a strong poison/venom into them. This poison/venom makes the bitten/infected very hateful but it can kill in a matter of hours if not treated.

To all who look at Himi see a dark and ominous girl. On the inside she is a kind and lonely Nightmare. Open to almost any form of kindness. She Is quite timid in places unknown though most people never notice it. She Loves to toy with random people from within her shadows.

Himi was made in darkness out of the dark but while this happened some light got trapped within her giving powers over light. This allowed her to be the only creature made of darkness that can survive in the light. This doesn't hinder her dislike of light. This power made her feared and hated by all of the other Nightmares of Darkness. So, she was forced to live alone in exile. She waited there for an unknown amount of time, waiting for a way to leave this realm.
Himi has always been alone for as long as she could remember. But once she herd news that the King Of Nightmares was looking for a Nightmare of Darkness for the war, She quickly answered the call. Forming a Human like body she headed the tear between dreams and reality entering the human world for the first time. Now She roams the earth looking for the one human she might only be able to bond with.
Himi's human form is quite slender compared to her Other Form. She has solid white skin that shows its true self when touched by light from the sun, so she carries a large black and white umbrella around to help deflect the suns light. Her eyes are a light blue that for some reason glow red when she sits in shadows. But no one has ever seen her blue eyes because they all avoid her due to her dark appearance. During her time on earth she has acquired a loving of music and has learned how to play a guitar.
