Destiny City, how long had it been since he called it home? It had been about a year thanks to his dad being called out of the city for a construction project at a city a few hours north, the pay was good and so the family had left Destiny. However with all the crazy events going around the work soon became almost endless for construction crews piecing together the city one block at a time. Being gone had it's issues, mainly the one where you missed all your friends after graduating leaving Sorrin quite alone in the city.
There was, however, a solution. Grabbing his phone he hammered away at the keys grinning as the past caught up, it had been almost just as long since he had seen Elzo at the summer camp before he moved away, the two hadn't hung out since the last night which had involved a lot of silly string, water balloons, and a slingshot set up to fire across the camp grounds.
'Red Robbins @ 5 guess who's back 8D - Gio'
He hadn't ever used the number actually, his phone got horrible reception outside the towers of Destiny City, it was nice to actually use his phone again instead of keeping in touch by a constant back and forth of Twiter messages. With a note to his parents who would be back with a moving truck he left for the dinner, he just hoped he could remember where it was...

He had looked at his phone screen with eyes as wide as dinner plates. This staring was done for a good few minutes until very loudly. "MARLO!" The elder Xanis sibling rushed into the younger's bedroom, ruining the once peaceful reading of a particularly good editorial in Vouge. "What?" Marlo was clear unexcited. Elzo was naturaly, the polar opposite. "HE IS BACK IN TOWN." "What?" "HEISBACKINTOWN." Marlo quirked a brow. He had no idea who was back in town or why but- "Then go say hi to-" Marlo blinked and Elzo was out of his doorframe, running towards the front door jumping to put his left shoe on correctly.
So it came to be, that with much excitement, that Elzo Xanis was sitting in his car, hood down, with a overly huge grin plastered on his face, outside of Red Robin. He was also chanting lightly under his breath. "Oh god Sorrin is back. He's back he's back he's back-"
Elzo looked like he might have literally been bouncing in his car.

It was the next street right? No, the next one! This was the one! He knew that shop just off the corner and right around it; jack pot, delicious cheese burgers and onion rings. Breaking into a jog he started for the parking lot when an old face eagerly waiting in a car caught his attention.
Elzo had a car; someone might as well have given Janie a gun. Hopping over the passenger side Sorrin took a seat beside his old friend with a grin. "You," he pointed a finger at Elzo in a deadly serious manner, "Have a car?" Dramatic pause. "You have a freaking caaaar. That or I'm guessing your dad has no clue you have it?" With out another word his seat was reclined and feet propped easily on the dash. "This is going to be so freaking awesome. Do they still do car side delivery here?"

AH YEAH BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Elzo was staring at Sorrin with a very blank expression. It lasted one second. Then slowly, ever so slowly, it turned into the most creepy grin ever. "Dude." And so, the bro fist bump was made. Old friends re-united after a year of tweets, status 'likes' on facebook, and stupid meme tossed at each other along with a plethora of cat macros. Elzo always like a good cat macro.
"And yes. Paid in full, she is my second love, the first being my girlfriend. Who, no, you don't get to meet until I am sure you won't try to tell her about some of rather..misguided adventures at camp. Some stories, like the ones about how we got stuck in the middle of a lake, are best kept to ourselves." It had been fun, until they missed dinner. It had been pizza night. "And YES." He held up a cell phone in one hand menu in the other. "I dare you to attempt the Destiny City Death Trap. If you eat it and beat it I'll..." Elzo wasn't sure Sorrin could beat it. Then again it was Sorrin. "I will do something awesome. Not that this night isn't awesome already!" He turned on the car radio. "I missed you bro."

Serious faces, they never lasted much longer then a second, usually someone was laughing or cackling by the time they hit the second mark. So with great pleasure first fist bump was done, well, the first one in over a year at least, the summer camp tally was too large to count, it would be best to simply call this the first.
"Paid in full and the second love of your life? Elzo, 'King of the Camp Elzo' and his second love is not another girl but a car, have you truely settled down while I was gone?" This was of course untrue, according to the routine tweets and facebook updates he only settled down for this Audrey chick, everything else was still in line with the summer camp, except the boat, they don't talk about the boat.
"As a friend, nay as a bro, we swore we would never speak of the night in the boat ever again. However, I still don't see why we didn't just swim back..." Grinning none the less at memories of the past he snatched at the menu and phone eying the challenge over. "Spicy barbecue sauce on that? Not fair, I'll do the challenge, the whole pound, and the onion rings, AND the double chocolate shake, but no sauce. Win or lose in honor of my return your getting the tab." Flipping open the phone he started to dial, pausing long enough to kick his chair back and sigh.
"I spent my senior year in a school where I had no old friends, I missed you, I missed this city." He paused looking out the car as a waitress skated by, "I missed that too. You know they didn't have a Red Robbin up north? Sin to god I tell you."

Elzo sighed. "That was high quality s**t man. And we tried swiming. Sort of. You remember how that ended." Elzo visibly shuddered. He'd never swum in a lake since that night. Or been fond of newts of frogs. Stupid frogs. "And yes, yes, a thousand times ******** yes. She's amazing man. Just...the one." He closed his eyes. Sorrin could see it in his bro's smile. Elzo was dare he say it, think it? Elzo, in love? With the ever fabled one?
"A few more months. Then...the real test of my self control will begin. Or maybe her self control. Its kind of quirky like that. You both want but...can't have. c**k blocking ourselves. Worst c**k blockery ever." A menu was laid over his face and his seat slowly started to recline backwards. He had a remote for that s**t. Fancy car you ask? Why yes, fancy car indeed. "And dude, rack it up, old man is footing the bill. Grabbed his credit card two days ago. So long as I'm not buying s**t over fifty bucks, he won't notice until later." A laugh. "And by that time he'll be so pissed with other s**t it won't matter." It paid to have a dad who didn't give two shakes of a s**t some times.
As a waitress grabbed the menu from his face, Elzo smirked. She scowled playfully before taking their orders and returning inside. "That one? Her name is Jessica. Likes roller derby and ice skaters. Also likes a man with manners. Probably not the best for you. Now, the girl inside with the Leia buns? Amanda? She likes a cocky fast man." Elzo winked. "She also has a 'sister'. Gotta say Sorrin my man, the north is cold as ice, down here, nice and hot." He winked at another girl going out to a car. She waved. "If Audrey saw me I think she might be hurt. She's a sweetheart but god, a bit self conscious. A dozen of these girls could offer but...not the same once you find the one my friend." A sad shake of Elzo's head. "The one changes everything."

"Oh yeah, I remember that part now; we just doggy paddled for a good thirty minutes before realizing it was a horrible idea." Sorrin could only shake his head in shame, it was a night the two would be better off never remembering. "Okay she's amazing, but is she like, ten amazing, or twelve amazing?" She had to be at least a twelve, Elzo would never be this gaga over a ten, it just wouldn't be right.
"Months huh? So you think you can settle down for one chick, ignore every other girl on the face of the earth for one girl." He could only shake his head at this, "My friend you have changed." He paused as Elzo slowly lowered down, definitely the best car ever. "Always getting under your fathers skin." Shrugging he turned to the waitress offering a sympathetic shrug for Elzo's smirk. It had been a perfect plan back at camp. Elzo would either get them or drive them away, and Sorrin would always be waiting to catch those who found Elzo just a bit too forward.
"Hey I have manners though I admit, I would fall flat on my face on skates or roller blades." He continued to watch her skate off none the less. "Leia buns? Really? Someone actually wares that in public," he said with a laugh before shifting his chair to match Elzo's in low kicked back slant. "The north WAS cold, it's all men in black in that city. Government this, business that."
"Can you blame her for being hurt? If you've told her ANYTHING about you she should have been running for the door from the get go like you were the devil himself. Then again you keep calling her the one, so I guess she didn't kick you to the curb or she just hasn't found a reason to yet ah?"

A finger raise up. "Ah, now, that's there's the thing. I told her just about everything. nothing overly detailed but she knows what got me into Hellsworth. My past..." A waitress skated by, throwing him a dangerous glare. "Good and bad. Mostly bad. But she knows. She knows I couldn't a s**t about them. She's the one. My one." Fishing in his pocket he pulled out his phone and flipped it open. A few buttons later and the image flashed on screen. "She just...augh! Perfect. You'll meet her eventually but yeah. My girlfriend is ******** awesome. A one ******** hundred on the scale. One <********> hundred."
He was droning. Oh well. He tended to drone when it came to his lady love. "But yes. Leia buns. I would recommend her. And hit up the new 21 and under club. The one part time girl is looking I hear for a nice few nights." Just because Elzo didn't play the field didn't mean he didn't hear s**t about it and it's happenings. "So, enough on me. What are your plans? Just going out and about or...?"

"No skeletons in the closet with this one? All of em dumped out plain as day? That's rather bold Elzo my friend." Turning he watched the girl skating by scowling slightly, "The bad does tend to outmatch the good in your tales, but I suppose that's one some people call character." Leaning back he let the subtle silence of the phone click away to fill the air between them.
Damn.
He had to say that girl did look rather cute, and even Elzo's type, at least the way he was talking about her it seemed like it. "No one is a hundred, that doesn't exist, Eve wasn't even a hundred and she was the first chick man ever laid with."
Waving his hand he shook his head, "Pass on the buns, as for the club we'll see, you know it was never my thing, you could walk into a club and smooze like a champ, I always feel kinda sleazy trying to meet girls in a club like that." Pausing he gave the simplest response any bro could, a shoulder shrug.
"I figured I would just, go to school? I still study art and tinker, I'm just concerned meeting people around here again since I left really. Your the first person I've actually hung out with since getting back."

It was all well and good. Elzo knew the party scene had never really been Sorrin's thing. Still, it had been a while. Maybe, you never rightly knew until you asked. "No skeletons. nothing. And she doesn't care. I...I really love her man. I mean...seriously." Elzo seemed to be shocked at himself even. "I love her." Relaxing it was obvious that the Xanis boy was flat out in love with her. Elzo had never acted in such a way over a girl before. Let along with such conviction. The waitress, however, didn't really know so she made a face as she approached, meal in hand. Elzo raised his soda glass. "To the year, may we both find what we're looking for." A glint in his eye. He would fix Sorrin on a date. He would try at least.

It was almost, humbling? Maybe that wasn't the word he wanted, but Sorrin had to admit he was impressed at these turn of events in his friend. Even as the relaxed waiting for the food to arrive it felt like a whole new person was sitting beside him, well, partially new. It was still Elzo, but it seemed like he had found something indeed that made him more. Or maybe all that babbling from Elzo tricked himinto it, either way all was well.
"Cheers my friend, to what ever it brings," he said raising his milkshake in turn.
It was going to be a good year.
