Name:
Tsukino, Hazuki

Nickname(s)/Alias(es):
N/A

Race:
Arrancar

Age:
Actual age: 739
Appearance age: ~21

Height:
5’ 9”

Weight:
129 lbs

Rank: Numeros 37

Personality:
Hazuki has two distinctive sides, which appear to acknowledge each other as individuals. Most of the time the personality that is seen is actually the less dominant one, who is shy and timid, keeping quiet and out of the way. She is easily intimidated and appears weak. She prefers to stay back but isn’t to be mistaken. More often than not she is fully aware of everything that is happening and is well aware of the small nuisances that could hint at what the person is going to do, or who they are. The dominant personality is technically sealed by her sword, although she claims that the real reason she stays back is in order to keep the peace. The dominant side is the far less human side and tends to show several wolf like traits. She is calm and confident, and doesn’t give way to those she sees as below her. It is best not to get into a staring match with this side, as she takes that to be a sign of challenge, with the loser looking away first. She has no issues with causing pain and is more than willing to fight. She can be lazy and the littlest things grate on her nerves. This dominant side appears mainly when her sword is drawn or away from her side (thus the release of the seal), although it is distinctly possible that she will surface at other times.

Physical Description:
Hazuki is far from short although her height isn’t beyond what a normal human’s would be. She slouches horribly however (at least when the less dominant side is in charge). She is somewhat skinny, with long lean muscles capable of surprising strength. Most of that is hidden however since her outfit includes a long coat done in the usual Arrancar colors. Usually worn open it still does a considerable job at hiding as much skin as possible. Her outfit beneath the coat consists of simple white slacks, as well as a loose V neck with no sleeves and an open back. Her deep black hair is usually worn loose and straight, stretching down her back easily. Her bangs are split down the middle, steadily getting longer as they fade back into her hair. While even the shortest are enough to cover her eyes they tend to be drawn to their respective side. Her face is most often open and easy to read, with her eyes being the dead giveaway as to which side of her is in charge. The normal side has eyes that seem wide and innocent, with her thoughts written clearly, however when the dominant side takes over, they narrow slightly, and become darker, almost impossible to read. The remains of her hollow mask are simple enough, a necklace of wolves’ teeth around her neck, which more often than not is hidden by her coat. Her hollow hole is located at the base of her neck, and is similarly hidden.

Zanpakutou:

Sealed Form:
The blade is a deep reflective black, with a curious tribal like marking just below the hilt that when closely studied is revealed to be an intricate seal. It is a little over 4 feet long, total. The hilt is wrapped in deep almost black fabric with a small guard in a vaguely circular shape.

Resurrección Name/Release Phrase:
Name: Akuma ookami (Demon wolf)
Release Phrase: Howl to the Moon, Akuma ookami

Resurrección Description:
When Hazuki releases, the dominant personality takes full control, and loses any restrictions she had about killing. Her eyes turn completely white and her vision suffers greatly, however her hearing, smell, and Pesquisa are spiked. She becomes somewhat wolf like, with a long tail, as well as furry ears. Her hands lengthen somewhat, the nails growing long, pointed, as nearly as deadly as her similarly lengthened blade. Her teeth change as well, becoming sharper with the canines distinctly pointed. When in this form her speed is at least doubled if not tripled.

Resurrección Powers/Attacks:
Hazuki's release grants her the ability to control and solidify shadows, limited only by how much her own shadow is in contact with. Because of this she is at her best when in areas that have a brilliant light, where shadows are cast by anything and everything. She can call upon her shadow to take any form she deems fit, bending the rules of how far a shadow would naturally go. Even in areas of darkness she is able to use the shadows by lightning the area with a cero (Most likely the reason she mastered it to a level where she could hold it steady without firing.) Her favored technique is to overlap her shadow with the person she is fighting. It actually doesn't do much as far as power goes, it is simply that her theory is that it is very had to outrun your own shadow.

Special Accessories:
Her sword acts somewhat as a seal, being that when it is sheathed her personality, as well as acting as a dampener on her power. Any time that it is away from her, or so much as cracked form the sheath, it is as if she becomes a different person.

Skills:
  • Sword –She has a mastery of single sword styles.

  • Hand to Hand – Fair but with lots of room to improve

Abilities:

  • Cero – Her cero mastery is exceptional, to a point where she can fire it instantaneously if she wishes. More what that level is for however, is in order to gain the ability to hold it stable. She is able to hold the full cero back and keep it from firing, her personal color of brilliant white working far better than any form of fire. Her cero can be fired from either hand.

  • Garganta

  • Hierro

  • Pesquisa – Due to her poor eyesight in her original hollow form her Pesquisa was her primary sense. Even when she became an Arrancar and regained her eyes, her Pesquisa remained her primary sense. For her it works somewhat like sonar, with her able to tell the general level, as well as pinpoint location.

  • Sonído

Biography/History:
Living: Hazuki lived a fairly normal life for her time. She was a woodsman’s daughter and loved spending her time out among the trees, or with the more wolf than dog pets that her family kept. She learned the requirements of a woman at the time and culture, to be a shy timid thing who gave in to the requests of those who were above her, which at the time was almost everyone. However she loved the forest, and the freedom it represented. At least, she loved it until it killed her. While wandering in the forest with several of the wolf dogs her father kept, she stumbled across several bandits. In the resulting chaos most of the wolf dogs who tried to defend her were killed, and she suffered fatal injuries herself, only just managing to get away and hide before succumbing.

Soul: Hazuki actually didn’t much mind being dead. The dogs who had been with her stayed with her even as ghosts and she was finally free of societies demands. Most of her time she spend wandering the forest, carefully avoiding the tree where her body was. Sometimes she congratulated herself on that hiding spot, wedged under the roots of an old oak tree. The search parties never found her, although they did find the blood and the dogs. She spent her love of freedom however and longed to return to her family, even seeing the usefulness and beauty of such an unfair social system. Guessing that her days were numbered by the chain coming from her, she could do nothing but wait and see what would happen.

Hollow: Hazuki’s transformation was nothing more than that she ran out of time, and the situation called for her to do something. For all the searching that had been done throughout the months in the forest, the bandits who had originally killed her had not been found. Unfortunately they found someone else. The little girl had been a fool, wandering in the woods with no protection and no knowledge of what she was doing. The sheer noise she was causing attracted both Hazuki’s attention, as well as the bandits who she was haunting at the time. The thing Hazuki hadn’t counted on however was that the girl could see ghosts, although again, she had no idea what she was doing. In desperation she grabbed onto the tiny stub of Hazuki’s chain left, and ripped it off.

In a way the girl go her wish, the bandits stopped trying to bother her. Unfortunately the hollow that was created, at that time far too new to have any self or control killed everything it could. Surprisingly the hollow that was created wasn’t just Hazuki alone; when she started to transform, the wolf dogs with her melded into her form. Also surprising, this creature had no eyesight, with nothing but milky white orbs as eyes, instead she relyed on hearing, smell, and her ability to sense other’s Reiatsu. It wasn’t until after the creature had killed anything and everything around it that it once again took on a self, although this Hazuki now had the attitude of the lead wolf dog. She found little interest in the humans, and only devoured them when it was convenient. It wasn’t long however before she met another hollow. The two clashed and Hazuki found herself enjoying the fight. When the hollow attempted to retreat she followed. Finding far more entertainment in battling in hueco mundo she stayed there, her ferocity in battle gaining her power quickly. It wasn’t long before she joined several other hollows, the wolf’s need to be in a pack showing. Together they traveled menos forest, attacking when the opening was good enough to take. Slowly the group fell apart as the hollows became Gillian. When Hazuki’s turn came she accepted it, and sought to get through it quickly. Becoming an Adjuchas, she continued to fight, with the dream of becoming a vasto lorde. One of her previous companions joined her in the quest, the last two remaining of the original group. Unfortunatly that soon came to an end when they picked a fight with someone who turned out to almost be more powerful. The companion suffered a massive wound that would have killed him, and using the distraction Hazuki finally took down the creature, only a few steps short of dead herself. The companion demanded that Hazuki devour him, so that all of his effort didn’t go to waste and that his power would continue on. In doing so she ascended to Vasto Lorde level, although she was far from happy. Not finding anyone to join with her in a new group she left for Las Noches, no really thinking that it was real, but willing to try. Once there she was accepted (after having gotten into a fight and destroyed the other hollow that was waiting) and quickly changed to an arrancar.

Rp Example
Hazuki yawned, itching to do something, anything. Instead she sat as still as she could, waiting. This was completely pointless, and the hollow across from her was getting on her nerves. For all that she looked like a weak little wolf; she could easily rip that grinning, smug look right off of his face. Why even think of a wolf as weak in the first place anyway? I really should teach him why assuming gets you little more than… Taking a deep breath she caught herself; that would be a bloody fight, even if she would win. This creature was too close to her in power for her to expect to get away without having to actually work at beating him. She glanced at the massive doors into the throne room, she wanted all of her strength to go in front of this so called ruler.

She leaned back, perfectly content to dose off, if that annoying creature across would have let her. He looked like some kind of cat, and had similar habits to one. The most annoying thing however was some sort of shiny bell thing he had, and was toying with. The high pitched ringing was driving her insane. Forcing herself not to growl at him, she closed her eyes and rested her head against the wall.

Tsk, brave fool. The cat had moved closer, thinking her asleep no doubt. Which, to be fair she had been, but years of living in the sands had taught her that any hollow that sleeps anything but lightly, is a dead hollow. She remained perfectly still however, until the cat was so close she could feel his breath. Her eyes snapped open and her hand shot out, touching his throat lightly, right on top of the artery. “Back away now, or I will kill you.” She growled, her eyes narrowing as her power rose. The cat did little more than smirk. He stared into her eyes, and her instinct showed itself. She stared right back, not so much as batting an eye until he backed away. Only then did she lean back once more, her eyes closing.

The peace was short lasted. The cat just couldn’t leave her alone, and couldn’t stop with that annoying bell thing. Her eyes opened just enough to catch his attention, her teeth bared, “Quit, or I will stop that annoying thing for you.” The cat grinned before holding up the bell, flicking it until the ring again resounded. Hazuki had had enough. First this waiting for hours on end for something she didn’t even care that much about, than being stuck with this thing, the ringing. Her power flared as she surged forward, the motion of getting her feet under her lost. Seemingly instantaneously her hand was in front of her, claws aimed for that annoying piece of metal. She pulled back however, twitching her aim just a bit so that she grabbed the bell, slowly crushing it while staring into the cat’s eyes. He didn’t like that; he didn’t like that at all. He hissed and leapt, taking her to the ground. The scuffle only lasted a few seconds before they both backed off, knowing that fighting now would not be the best of ideas. Instead they went to their respective sides and Hazuki at least tried to ignore the other.

The wait wasn’t much longer. Finally the massive doors opened, giving Hazuki a good excuse to leapt to her feet. The cat however, seemed to forget that she had been there long before him. They stopped in the center of the hall, trying to stare each other down for who would be first to enter. The cat was nervous, his Reiatsu pouring off of him in an attempt to intimidate her. She didn’t flinch, and slowly, gracefully her own rose, snuffing his out. To his credit he didn’t back down, and the two stood, a silent battle of wills. This is keeping the ruler of Las Noches waiting. I doubt he will be very happy about that, but then, he can blame this annoying cat.

Finally the cat looked away and she grinned, only to be knocked backwards as he lashed out. Snarling, not even bothering with words, she came to her feet, her shirt ripped, revealing the four thin lines across her stomach. Hazuki’s Reiatsu flared, a final warning before she retaliated. She tried to play nice, tried to avoid destroying any more than needed, but that was easier said than done. The fight poured into the throne room, Hazuki on the losing side. The cat was far faster than she was, and had no issues with destroying anything and everything that got in his way. As soon as she glanced up however, she grinned. The throne room wasn’t like the artificial sun outside, or the lit hallway. It was filled with shadows, with the main light source pouring through the doorway, casting a long shadow on anyone who entered. Going to one knee she waited, listening to the cat dance in circles around her, taunting her. Something about how much of a weak little dog she was. Like she cared. His mistake for not continuing to attack her since she was down. He should have already figured out that going from sitting, or even laying on the ground to attacking was not a matter of seconds, but a fraction, even if she had suffered a little from his claws. She had to make this count, they were both in the throne room, and while she didn’t know if the cat had noticed or not, they were being watched by the ruler of Las Noches, and two others. The cat’s steps were patterned, which meant that she could guess where he would be next. Sloppy of him Drawing in a deep breath, she moved, the two hollows appearing back to back, Hazuki’s shadow overlaying the cat’s. She grinned, before rounding on him, the layered shadows flaring around either side should he try to sidestep. Her teeth connected with his throat, wolf’s teeth digging deep. The cat flailed, trying to get her to release him. Like that will happen, once my teeth are in, not even death will convince me to let go. As it was however the cat was at an odd angle, and couldn’t get too much power into his strikes. She brought him to the ground, burying her knee in his gut and only when he stopped moving did she let go. A low growl still continued in her throat as she stared down at the creature. For now he was still alive, although it might be far better if he didn’t try to move for a while, his throat was torn open, although she could see it beginning to heal. Bringing one hand up she half heartedly wiped the blood from her face, licking it off absently. It was several minutes before she decided that the cat wasn’t going to do anything.

She turned, bowing low to the leader of Las Noches. Her eyes meeting his for the briefest of seconds before dropping, she had no wish to challenge him, him who stared at the carnage in his own throne room with a slight smile on his face. A shinigami the lord of a bunch of hollows, that certainly wasn’t expected. She sighed mentally. I really should have done a little more research before showing up Either way she was here, and there was no changing anything now. The lord stood, staring down at her. She refused to move, even when the cat behind her did. Fool, stay down where you belong. Stand up again and it will be the last time you ever do. Her eyes flickered backward, noting that the cat had done little more than roll over and try to cover his throat. That she didn’t care about, her focus was on the man in front of her.

“That was very good, but why didn’t you kill him?” Hazuki started slightly, she hadn’t been expecting him to say that. She glanced back before grinning, “I had no intention of getting into a fight, and in truth, I would rather not have. I saw no reason to kill him, and thus did not.” She turned slightly, staring at the cat with a hunter’s eyes, “That can of course be changed.” She met the cat’s eyes, his heartbeat flowing through her for just a moment before she cut it off, turning back to the king of Las Noches and dropped to one knee, “Milord, I ask if I can join your ranks.” Her answer was silence, although she glanced up anxiously just in time to see him nod.
