On the seventh day god rested. Musical scale, A B C D E F G That is seven notes, Seven is also considered a luckey number. 12 months. 12 apostles. 3 can be used as a magical number, Then there's the trintiy, God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. Maybe i'm putting too much thought into this, but still.....

Erm, I don't want to mess anything up, but 12 has held a significance far longer than Christianity has existed.
Firstly, is a very useful number. It is devisable by 2,3,4 and 6, while 10 only works with 2 and 5. That is why some American engineers like Imperial measures (in feet and inches) to metric systems. Despite metric systems working somewhat easier in most situations.
Whats more, it is the second easiest to count on your fingers. Look at your fingers. Each of the four has three bones. By using your thumb to count each one off, you can count to twelve on one hand. By using your other hand to count of each set of twelve in a similar matter, you can make it all the way up to 144, easy, without having to hold the numbers in your head.
Actualy, there is a more efficient method if you know binary. Each finger used as a binary digit, you can use them to count any 10 bit number. That lets you count to 1023. Just some nice trivia.

I find the musical scale and God resting on the seventh day interesting. I've always marveled at the gift of music. Just think about it. He created music. He created all seven notes, and all those octaves. Isn't that so uncomprehensible that it makes you just want to praise Him? It sure makes me wanna. biggrin

Hey seven also means "A Lot" in the Bible. I heard that whenever a character in the Bible tried something or was tested on patience, they often do it 7 times before they give up or something happens.
I actually made a thread about why seven is such a lucky number, and some people gave me wikipedia XD go to wikipedia and look up lucky seven or something and it'll tell you why XP

Oh! I forgot something to the theory. This is true chromatics, the chromatics that you will find on a piano.
A- A B- B C C+ D E- E F F+ G
- is flat + is sharp
Count that out, that's 12 notes.

Genesis 4:21 And his brothers name was Jubal, the first musician-the inventor of the harp and the flute. Quote: Now it probably isn't the exact flute and harp you'd think of it probably changed over the years but loosely he invented some type of strummed string instrument and a woodwind instrument. biggrin Just thought ya guys and gals might find this meaty bit interesting.

I have the new world translations of the holy scriptures and the king james version, and the Lds edition king james version, although I'm not really sure that there is even any difference between those two king james versions.
