The night shimmered with lights that danced across the skies and Sunwarrior, as she was now named, watched as each tiny light blinked in and out of existence in a moments notice. She knew that soon enough the sun would rise and that was exactly why she was out here.

She loved to watch the sun rise over the horizon, she liked to greet the day despite knowing that the sun would send her to her bed for the day. She still liked to tell the sun how her night went. Or at least greet it and let it know that she would see it again soon.

She loved her new life and what better way to express it, or so she felt, than to sing it's praises to the sun.

All he could smell was dog. His nostrils were chock full of the smell of them. How he had managed to get THIS lost he would never know, what he would know though was that this was not a place he wanted to be when the sun rose.

he wanted to be away, striking out towards the trees and hiding up in the branches, comfortable, ready for sleep. Who knew where the trees were though? How had he managed to get this lost and how was he this close to what smelled like several thousand dogs, probably exaggerating, but still, there were a lot and he could smell them.

The young, powerful female dog turned her head when she heard quietly approaching paws. The night sky seemed to be moving towards her and for a moment, she was frightened. How could the night move like that on soft furred paws? She realised fairly quickly though, or at least her nose did, that this was in fact a leopard.

What was a leopard doing here? She hadn't seen a leopard since she had left the rogue lands and joined the peke'na. "Hey you, what are you doing here?" She questioned her brow furrowing slightly her tail flicking out in to a straight out, defensive pose.

leopards could be dangerous, she knew that.

The leopard stopped in his tracks as he is addressed, his deep blue head lifting and his lips turning in a scowl. Great, just great, he'd managed until now to escape the dogs, just coping with their smell ever where and now, here he was faced with one.

He sighs heavily. He should be civil, with all the dogs around here she might call for more of the pack and he had no want to be chased by a bunch of dogs.

"Pardon me madam." he whispers in tones as silky as his deep blue fur. "I did not mean to trespass, I am simply passing through on my way to the trees."

Sunwarrior smiles a little. Okay, he was just a traveller, no one to worry about. "Thats okay, i thought you might be hunting. You're far too close to the pack lands to be hunting." She nods her head sitting slowly her body still tense.

"I hav'nt seen a leopard since I left the rogue lands. You must be very lost to come so near to the peke na."

The leopard seethes inwardly. Clearly this dog was stupid, stating the obvious, of course she hadn't seen any leopards around here, usually they weren't stupid enough to get lost so close to a wild dog pack.

Reining in his thoughts he shakes his head and smiles another of those sickeningly sweet smiles. "I wouldn't usually be here madam. I seem to have lost my way. Can you tell me which way it is to some nice comfortable trees?"

"There is a very nice cluster of trees a few miles away. I can show you if you like." She smiles getting to her pws, she wasn't afraid of this leopard despite him being a little creepy with his wide smiles and silky looks.

"I know a lot of the rogue lands around here I wandered in this way before joining the pack here."

Sirius' eyes go ver wide at her offer. "NO!" he pauses and calms himself shaking out hi fur. "No, no ma'am if you can just point me in the right direction I will be very happy." He blinks owlishly, he really didn't want to have to follow a dog, he didn't want to have to be around a dog for any longer than he had to.

Right now he had to be here so he settled his fur and plastered that fake smile on his maw once again. "Please, just, point me in the right direction."

The female dog tilted her head a little, her bright orange eyes looking the male over quietly. He clearly wasn't all he was chalked up to be. The smarmy grin and secret smiles were obviously a cover for thoughts that she just couldn't fathom.

The pack she had joined after all were all so helpful, so good to one another that she had started to forget that there were creatures out there that just didn't want her to live. She had no doubt that if she were further from the pack lands that she would have been prey to this guy.

"It's a fair way are you sure you don't want an escort?"

The male leopard took a deep, cleansing breath, breathing in air faster than his lungs should really have taken it. "yes, I am perfectly sure." He rumbles. "Please, just the direction, I do not wish to intrude upon your time any more than I already have."

He rolls his eyes as he bows his head, he wanted so badly to just bolt away, but he really needed a place to rest during the day and the best place to rest was up on a bough. He hated sleeping in the dirt.

The female dog nods lightly. Well she wasn't going to force him to allow her to escort him, but she would be damned if she wasn't going to make sure he left.

"The trees are about two miles maybe three that way." She points with her muzzle, her deep orange eyes never really leaving the male leopard for a moment.

The blue leopard turns in the direction she had pointed, glad that he could finally get out of here. the smell of dogs in close proximity really was too much for his nostrils.

"Thank you." he hisses between clenched teeth bouncing off before he could say another word tot he chocolate brown, sunny nosed female.

He would be so glad to just be up in a tree enjoying the sun through the dappled over growth. And one thing was for sure he would never come this way again.

The wild dog sighs heavily and shakes her youthful head. She hoped that he would keep to himself and go far away from the pack lands. She really didn't trust that leopard, he had something up his sleeve clearly.

Shrugging her shoulders she turns back towards the pack lands her tail held high in the air glancing back occasionally to make sure that the deep blue dot was receding from view and not coming closer.

She had been happy to help, but there was just something wrong with that leopard that she just couldn't put her paw on.

Glad to be free of the smell of so many dogs the deep blue leopard continued to walk until he found just the right tree. leaping up in to the boughs, he drapes himself around the bark, resting, completely free of the wet dog smell. Tomorrow, he would find his bearings and make his way back home. He really didn't want to be away from his home lands any longer. The rogue lands were cruel and a pain in his a** quite frankly.

His tail twitched spasmodically as he dreamt of home, his bright blue eyes closing and his mind drifting. Soon he would be back home, back to where he was respected and he would never leave again, that he promised himself.

The young wild dog female was home with her tail tucked over her nose before she could think about what exactly that leopard had made her think of. He was bad, that was for sure, had she been right to simply let him walk off? She had a feeling he wouldn't return. There was some where he wanted to be and it wasn't here. With that thought in mind she allowed her self to sleep. Forgetting all about the smarmy leopard and hoping that he would never return to her happy little world.
