Personality: Ryuk could be described as somewhat of an odd person, personality-wise. Normally, Ryuk is very nice, to an extreme, liking to be friends with really anyone he can and be as helpful as possible. While it can sometimes get to the point of annoyance, Ryuk has good intentions. For the most part. Ryuk is very smart, being much better at science and research than combat. For this reason he has developed somewhat of a scientists outlook on life, looking at some things as 'subjects' and 'experiments' rather than what they really are. When someone is between him and his experiments, the person involved might just become the next subject.
Appearance: Ryuk likes to keep it safe. For that reason, his hair is medium length, going down to his chin and upper neck in straight lines, jet black in color. His eyes are an almost blood red, always looking at someone as if he were analyzing them. The rest of Ryuk's face, is covered by a black gas mask, making his voice sound as if he were speaking through a microphone that had constant static. He wears metal samurai-like pieces on his upper body, a curiass covering his stomach and chest, and a shoulderpiece on his right shoulder, the armor a gold and crimson color. The backs of his hands are covered as well, the thin armor providing a little protection from attacks. Ryuk also wears a sash, given to him by a peddler in Rukongai after he saved the man from a hollow. It seems regal, going down to his knees with a golden and light blue cloth. His pants are simple and black, baggy, going over his black shoes and sometimes dragging the ground.
Skills:
High Intellect: Ryuk is very perceptive and smart, able to analyze a given object or substance and correctly identify it with ease. This also applies with people as well, able to read body language and emotions. While mostly in sciences, Ryuk is somewhat of a lab rat and likes to spend time researching chemicals and doing experiments on various objects or even animals.
High Endurance; While Ryuk isn't the strongest person, he is able to do activities for extended periods of time, going far past what people would normally think him capable. While he doesn't have the speed or power others have, he has more than enough endurance for two or three people.


Zanpaktou
Sealed: A medium sized Kodachi, around two and a half feet long, the blade taking up two feet, and the hilt the other six inches. The blade itself is a thick silver, taking on a bluish tinge almost making the blade a sky blue color. The tsuba is snow white, in the shape of a small hexagon with a single ring in the tsuba, silver in color. the hilt is a light blue, almost cyan, with white diamonds inbetween the hilt's stitches. The blade, while small, is very durable, highly condensed to make it more able to cut and slice with ease.
Spirit: A Chimera, always changing the parts of animal and human it has. While it always has the same voice, that of a female, it's appearance is never the same. Tousouzou is somewhat of a perfectionist, and always likes to tell Ryuk that he could do something more neat or tidy-like. When something is off, she seems to rage uncontrollably.
Shikai

Appearance: The blade seeming to become see-through, it actually becomes something like glass, though much more durable. The blade itself is hollow, and has a slight serrated edge with what seems to be-if you looked closely enough-small needles in the ribs of the blade. Taking the color of whatever substance Ryuk creates within the blade, it has the ability to spray or inject whatever is inside the blade into the outside world.
Shikai Abilities:
Boutou no Junkan(冒頭 循環, Start of the Cycle): The main ability of Tousouzou, lies within the realm of life. More specifically, the creation of cells. Restricted to a liquid amount of no more than a 24x3in. cylinder, the type of cell created varries greatly. While Tousouzou can only create cells of living beings, the limitations of creation are time, amount, and effect. The amount is set, being that of only the blade length and width. The time that it takes to completely create a substance that can be used and made of only one type of cell or organelle of a cell is one minute[1 post], and only then can it be used. The more complex a substance, the longer it takes to create.
Kire no Jinsei(切れ切 人生ゲー・, Pieces of life): With the ability to make cells, Tousouzou also has the ability to make incomplete cells, as well as organelles of a cell. The limitations, however, is that only one type of organelle can be made at a time, with the limitation of the amount already set. The creation time for organelles is one minute[1 post], and the time it takes to create incomplete or specialized new cells is two minutes[2 posts]. Be it simple Mitochondria for energy, or nucleus for DNA, a simple organelle is able to be mass produced in an amount useable by Ryuk
Kimerakou(キメラ 効, Chimera Effect): A specific area of Tousouzou's abilities, it governs the ability of making DNA, specifically, the DNA used in the host to enhance them or to weaken the enemy. Within the blade of Tousouzou, nuclei can be mass produced and then injected into the body and replicate quickly, giving the host a boost or a weakness for a short period of time. the limitations of this, however, is that 1) the new DNA must be developed outside of battle, since it takes quite a long time to create new DNA, and 2) it takes anywhere from 2-3 minutes for the DNA to be made even inside battle[2-3 posts] depending on how complex the new DNA is. Though the ability can be useful, it is short lived, since the new DNA will be destroyed by the immune system as an intruder within three minutes[3 posts] of injection.

Bio: Ryuk only remembers scraps of his life as a human, living in the streets, using his intellect in labs, though not the certified kind. And so, when he appeared in the Zaraki district of Rukongai, he did what he knew best. he quickly became the lackey of a crime boss, befiending them simply because they were able to provide shelter and food without end. It was thwarted however, when a group of shinigami decided to destroy the gang he was apart of. Sensing the reiatsu hidden within him, the shinigami instead of killing him enrolled him in the academy, rising high into his class in tactics, but being normal in both kido and swordsmanship. After all, his brain made up for what his body lacked. And so, when he graduated the academy, he set out for the first squad that caught his attention, the Research and Development squad, the 12th Division.
