Anima Valley & Crater Shrine | Air | Element Deep within the mountains of Yuran lies an isolated valley, the Anima Valley. Wind constantly blows through it and there is never a moment when a breeze can't be felt or heard. Although it is definitely not the highest point in Yuran, considering that it's a valley, one can often close their eyes and visualize themselves standing right above a vast stretch of sky while in this valley. A large portion of the valley however has been warped into becoming a large crater, radiating black energy and death. Here, the presence of the wind is strong and those who wish to master the air element must come. While the hike to the valley is fairly easy, it does take time, requiring those who walk to post in at least three other threads in the countryside before reaching it. Those who fly do not need to make these posts and can simply fly straight to the valley. All posts must be at least 4 sentences long. Those seeking to master the wind must make 3 extra posts to begin the search for a suitable spot. For the actual search, additional posts, this time with a ten-dice roll, must be made: 5 means you've found a spot, 1-2 mean the wind has blown you away to another thread and you must redo all of the posts from entering the valley to starting the search, 4 and 8 mean you encounter a wyvern (pm Kagetsukiko to control it), 6-7 mean the wind has blown you back to the entrance of the valley and you must redo all of the posts from starting the search, and all other numbers mean that nothing has happened.

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto Feather finally reached her destination: Anima Valley. She had found it while flying throughout Yuran and had liked it for it's solitude. Of course, every now and then a backpacker would come through, but the girl would easily hear him/her and would be able to quickly hide either herself or her wings. Landing in a clearing, the girl retracted her wings, put her shirt and sweater back on, and strolled into the forest. Eventually, she began humming a tune and then moved on to singing from there. As usual, her ears were on the alert for the sound of any humans or vampires or whatever. It felt good to use her vocal chords after a week or so of silence from them. Well, not silence strictly but she definitely hadn't been able to sing with them.
Finally, though, the girl figured that she should start heading back. Shedding her outer layer of clothing once more, Feather held onto them tightly as she allowed her wings to grow. Sora, who had been strolling besides her, hopped onto her shoulder seeing how she had returned to his non-winged form.

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto As soon as she arrived at the valley, Tsubasa lighted down and opted to take a break as she pulled her wings back in. What she didn't know was that her break would accidentally turn into a nap as the girl recuperated her energy. After pulling of such a straining process she had somehow managed to continued moving at the pace that she was going. She was bound to have to rest sooner or later and it just so happened that her body chose right then and there.
As the girl slept, Sora kept a careful lookout. He made sure that his summoner was comfy, even going so far as to drape the outer layers of the clothes she had yet to put back on over her to make sure she wasn't cold. Energy: 225/550 Projectiles: 120/120 Energy: 200/275 (OOC: )

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto As his summoner slept, Sora reminisced about the day he became Feather's actual summon, an event that happened right in the very valley that they were resting in. Previously, he had only been a summon by name. The more proper term for his relationship to Tsubasa would have been "guardian" seeing how he was actually Feather's mother's, Sophia's, summon. When her parents decided to leave, Tsubasa had wanted to keep Sora with her and that was when her trial began. Of course, he had actually experienced only one half of the story, but Feather had recounted everything to him after they were reunited.
Sure, Sora had wanted to stay with Feather as well but he had his pride and he wasn't about to become someone's summon without making sure they were right for him. The white ball of fluff grinned mischievously as he remembered the task that he had given Tsubasa: find him.
After leaving in the dead of night with only a note explaining his absence and giving clues to his location, Tsubasa's quest began. Of course, Sora wasn't in his dragon form but he didn't need it. His hiding place was easy to get to even on foot and simply required enough time, time that he had more than enough of. Actually, that hint was a clue in itself as well but Feather had failed to realize it until too late. Of course, as could be seen by Sora's current presence next to the girl, she had succeeded nonetheless.
As expected, Tsubasa awoke in a frenzy, scared of what had happened to Sora. It was only after she had turned her room upside down twice that she finally saw the note, which had been left neatly on the table but was now lay crumpled on top of the small shelf. Reading it, the girl groaned and realized what exactly had happened. She had been given a fair warning by her dad and mom but she had expected something more straightforward. With a sigh, she read the contents of the note: Tsubasa, Hello I apologize for my sudden leave but I believe it's time for you to earn me. So, you shall find me just like your mother has and learn to tame me from there. Be happy, I gave you some clues to help you along the way so you won't be completely stuck at where in the world I could be: The valley of my birth is a special thing to me. However, I find it strange that you know nothing of it, Yet know so much of me.
Lush and green without the distracting perfume of flowers, Anima Valley, as I like to call it, Is hidden and safe without requiring powers.
Find it and you should find me. Remember what I have told you About my favorite place to have tea. -Sora PS: Have fun X3 !!!
Feather simply had stared at the note in confusion for a full minute as she tried to decipher it. Honestly, to her, the last line of the poem seemed to be a random add-on to finish off the pattern. Apparently, she was to find the valley that Sora was born in, of which she knew absolutely nothing specific about. She knew that he was born somewhere isolated, on the outskirts of Pronta and far from any major roads, but that was all she knew.
The next most obvious clue was that the valley had a lot of life in it but didn't have flowers as a major attraction. While that crossed out a lot of possible options and narrowed down the list of "most likely" a bit, there were still hundreds of valleys that the girl could check. From what she knew of maps she had read, Anima Valley was not an official name, which would make sense. If Sora's home was as isolated as she thought it was, there would be no need to name it. That simple fact further lowered the number of valleys, but there was still plenty left over.
A lot more confusing was the part, "without requiring powers." Feather had to think hard on that one and even then she was unable to figure it out. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't decipher what was meant by "powers."
As Sora remembered being told of that part, he couldn't help but laugh. It was kind of cute how Feather never really considered her wings and her ability to fly as "powers." What was even funnier was the face that the girl made when Sora had burst out into hysterical laughter after being told of that part. After a period of muffled laughter, the summon returned to remembering his summoner's quest.
The only thing left for Feather to decipher now were the last two lines, "Remember what I have told you/About my favorite place to have tea. <…,> the girl thought, . Honestly, it seemed random to her but if it was a clue, then she would sorely need it. She had too little to go off of to choose even five valleys to thoroughly explore. the girl thought with confusion as she paced the room up and down, Tsubasa was getting close, very close, to figuring out Sora's most likely location but, .
After rolling around in despair for about half an hour or so, the girl had abruptly jumped up in realization as she remembered the location of the valley. She dashed out immediately as she whispered the coordinates to herself, as if she could forget them any minute now. She ran through the pass leading out of Pronta, using echo sensing to get through the white-out, and left the road as soon as she possibly could. Once she was far from any form of major civilization, the girl had taken off her outer layer of clothes and expanded her wings to allow herself to fly.
From there, the search was predictable. Tsubasa had remembered this valley and reached it. A long day of searching led to a famished Feather finding a relaxed Sora filling himself up with some berries. Laughter ensued and Tsubasa, to Sora's amusement, finished off the large pile of berries that were offered to her quicker than he could blink.
Sora sighed as he finished the recollection and, judging from Feather's slight stirrings, just in time too.

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto Tsubasa woke up with a mumble or two and looked around for a bit to make sure that she hadn't been moved. {Are we still in Anima Valley?} the girl asked Sora as she yawned outwardly. Sora nodded in return as he hopped off of Feather's lap to allow her to stand up.
Stuffing the clothes back into her bag, the girl enlarged her wings once again and flew up into the air with a couple flaps, Energy: 550/550 Projectiles: 120/120 Energy: 200/275 (OOC: )

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto Feather and Sora split up in their search for the Pale One, with Sora searching on the ground and asking the neighborhood creature while Tsubasa scanned from the skies. Eventually, Sora found a lead and Tsubasa took it, finding the wyvern in the process. It was resting besides a large lake, nursing the wounds with water, dirt, and mud. Feather landed softly some distance away from it with Sora arriving not too long after. The two of them waited for the dragon to notice them before making any moves. Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto After about ten minutes, the wyvern finally raised it's head at the pair that was closely watching him. He had been tending to the wound above his eye, the one that Sora had created. He recognized the distinctive scent of the girl and so made no move to attack her.
Tsubasa carefully approached the Pale One as she began humming a soothing tune. It was the beginning of a Healing Melody and the dragon would be soothed by the song. He remained relaxed and allowed the girl to approach as she sang gently. She finally activated the effects song when she stood next to the wyvern, close enough to lean against it. Slowly, his wounds began to heal. Healing MelodyRank: D to S Description: When using their own voices during a period of rest, it is possible for Sirens to heal the wounds of their allies by singing the Healing Melody, a soothing song that washes away all worries. The strength of the song depends on the amount of energy put into it and its length. At the very least, though, a D-rank amount of energy must be put in. At B-rank and above, this song can be used as an antidote to poisons and such. While singing this song, the Siren may not move. Every 5 posts, more energy--equivalent to the amount that was originally used--must be put into Healing Melody to continue the song. Energy: 450/550 Projectiles: 120/120 Energy: 200/275 (OOC: )

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto The wyvern continued to relax even further as he felt his pain ease away under the soothing notes of Healing Melody. Tsubasa continued to play. She knew now, after her first try with Pix's bird, just how much energy she actually needed. While the Pale One's wounds were much bigger, they were also less serious. Compared to his size, they were more like annoying and hindering cuts and bruises than anything else. Energy: 450/550 Projectiles: 120/120 Energy: 275/275 (OOC: )

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto As the leaves of the trees around her rustled in the gentle breeze, Feather continued to play. By now, the dragon's more minor wounds were healed and even the gash right above the eye was well on it's way to recovery. The bruises were nearly gone, with only a faint shade of a darker skin color to show where they had once been. The mangled tail and cuts on the neck caused by the golem were nearly fully healed. Feather opened one eye as she surveyed the wyvern, who now had his eyes closed. She figured that she would only have to sing a bit more to complete the healing process. Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto Tsubasa decrescendoed as she neared the end of the Healing Melody and stopped at an almost silent note. As she opened her eyes, the girl surveyed the wyvern, smiling as she noted how much better it looked. Glad to see it healthy again, the girl patted the beast's side as she rested her head against it, feeling it's inner fire. The Pale One, soothed and calmed by the siren's song was already used to the girl and allowed her to rest against his side. Energy: 550/550 Projectiles: 120/120 Energy: 275/275 (OOC: )

Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto As she rested, Feather began to sing another song. It was one of her favorites and a song that she would often sing when alone. She had named it Lost Woods not because she only sang it amongst trees but because it reminded her of the fascination she had when she was lost in someplace new. The "woods" part was added on because it sounded nice. Either way, Tsubasa began to sing the song as she leaned against the Pale One who, although he couldn't hear, could still feel the vibrations of the girl's body and energy as she sang as only a siren could. Sure it didn't have words, but so what? The wyvern rumbled deeply, a sound that startled Feather at first before she noticed that it was the Pale One's equivalent of a purr. Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto While Feather hummed, Sora did his best to transpose the girl's songs into thoughts for the Pale One to think and understand. However, the wyvern simply shook his head. The thought of sounds and melodies and everything else that the small white furball was trying to stick into his head was too much for him to comprehend. Instead, the larger summon preferred to simply bask in the light and cheery flows of the energy coming from his new master's voice. Yes, this would small girl would be his new master. He was already in debt to her for finding him a new home and he enjoyed the music that she played. The music that he could enjoy even though he was deaf.
The wyvern gave off another rumble, which Feather immediately translated into a purr this time around, and gently placed his head besides the singing siren. Tsubasa smiled as she slowly began to understand the actions and sounds of her new friend. She might not have been able to understand every single animal that she met, but she had a talent for understanding animal nonetheless and was often able to get what they were saying after spending a good amount of time with them. Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto The wyvern continued to listen contentedly as Feather sang, remembering each line. When the song ended he started to move slightly before stretching his neck out and expanding his wings while yawning in a pleased manner. He then returned them to their original position and waited. Tsubasa couldn't help but laugh at the movement even if she couldn't exactly get what it meant. However, it was obvious that the wyvern meant something by how he stared at the girl. Feather cocked her head to the side as Sora waited for her to find out. The little guy already knew what the wyvern had meant but he figured that it would be better for Tsubasa to figure out. Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto After another moment of silence, the wyvern gently nudged the siren. Finally Tsubasa understood, "Oh, do you want me to play another song?". The dragon saw his new master's mouth move but couldn't hear what she said. It was only after Sora had translated that he understood and nodded his head. Feather nodded and gladly obliged, using her lute this time around. However, the reptilian beast simply cocked his head sideways in confusion. He couldn't hear the music or feel it like when Feather had sang her song. The Pale One nudged her again, wanting Feather to play something he could actually enjoy. Tsubasa Sonitus-Confuto Feather stopped playing when the wyvern nudged her and immediately understood what he was saying. The meanings of his actions were now completely clear to Feather now. "I'm sorry," the girl replied as Sora transposed it into thoughts of the wyvern, "Here, let me start over," and then she started singing the song she had been playing on the lute. The wyvern relaxed once more and began enjoying the music. Tsubasa smiled as she watched her new friend. She figured that she could have used her ocarina for a situation like this but decided to sing for the beast instead. Besides, she would have to return to the city soon so it was the least she could do for leaving. [5/5] Energy: 550/550 Projectiles: 120/120 Energy: 275/275 (OOC: )
