Alright, now, allow me to begin with conception. At the beginning of each season, every female character who is capable of being impregnated will have a set of dates randomized for their 'gestation' days.
The number of days that each female has depends on their age, but a character may become pregnant starting at age 12 and ending at age 50. Now, I don't expect you folks to start having horny 12-year-olds without a very, very good reason, but that is when fertility starts here. Should a character fornicate without birth control or protection on one of these dates, then they will become pregnant.
But, even IF a condom is used, there is still a chance of pregnancy. Birth control is the only sure-fire method to prevent conception. This is for the Gaians controlling the males involved in the act, however. They will generate a number during their posts that will vary depending on the character's capabilities in putting on a condom and the result will be a reflection of the condom's success or failure in protecting the characters. The Gaian user will decide for themselves what the numbers should be.
The numbers, though, will always range from the lowest number possibilities = 1 to 3, or the highest number possibilities = 1 to 10, or anywhere in between. In example, Keith usually generate a number from 1 to 6, but if Keith was on cocaine, he would lower those odds to 1 to 3. Should the generated number be a '1', the condom has failed and the characters involved have a possibility on contracting an STD or conceiving.
At that point, I will PM the user controlling the pregnant female and inform them of their characters new condition. We will discuss what they want, whether it be twins, triplets, females, males, etc., and that part will be entirely up to the person playing the soon-to-be mother. If they choose to shout it out in OOC or keep it to themselves, that is entirely up to them. No one in the crew will speak a word of it, guaranteed.
Now, if you want your character to miscarry or go into premature labor, I will ask that you have a valid reason behind it. But, I trust that you lot are competent enough to have one should you suggest it.
The due date will be about two seasons from the conception date. In example, let us say that Gremio conceived on Summer 1.
Trimester 1 will be from Summer 1 – 20
Trimester 2 will be from Summer 21 – Fall 10
Trimester 3 will be from Fall 11 – Winter 1
I believe you kiddos can look up symptoms on each of those trimesters yourself, but, just for conveniences sake, I'll list them here.
