It had to have been a few weeks since she last time he saw the male. But now she made residence in the marsh lands.. Jumping out of the thick lush of high grasses. It was like a home all to herself. Fighting wasn't necessary and neither was the feeling to protect. Nor care. As she made her marks over her territory.. it felt like she was invincible. Nothing could hurt her.. and she could become a void all on her own. Her tail padding back and forth. Days felt like weeks as she closed her eyes to feel the winds of the afternoon breezes. The problem..... she felt just like she wanted to. Void. So her heart wouldn't hurt again. She stopped a few miles in and looked out in to the area... No one. Nothing. Knowing the gazelle's herding patterns would make it close to her... now called home.
The void hadn't yet settled in.. and the weekly days were like living in warped universe. Time didn't matter.. but she kept her body nourished and still held on to her training schedule. Eat. Train. Train. Sleep. Eat. Train. Then over and over til the training got too tiring then off to bed with her. For now- at the time, she was in the training phase yet she stared blankly out. Soaking in the sight...but it never settled in. Nothing gave it a meaning. After her long stare- and the sun started to dip in to the mountains far far away she went off in to her hunt for the last meal of the day.
Disappearing in to the thick tall grass..

Few saw the large lion as he passed by him. His eyes were determined despite his limping gait. With each jerky motion of his left back leg the lion propelled himself forward to a target. Something he had to do. No one bothered him. No one dared. He had only one goal. One he'd realized when he tried to turn around.
Oh he'd laid there for a few days. Hurt, weak, sore from nose to tail tip but all he thought about was her. It numbed the pain somehow... Wondering if she was alright. If she was surviving...
If she missed him at all....
When he was able to get off the ground, he glanced back once to the rise he'd seen her disappear over. His heartached and he began forward but halfway through his journey he stopped, his breath coming out short.
He couldn't. As much as he cared about his troop and about Taban he just couldn't make his foot move forward. He wanted to see her... even if it was just one last time. Broken and bruised he slowly turned around to stare at the grassy plains. He might never find her. Never see her again but he had to try.
So here he was, ignoring the pain, catching what he could. Trying to follow her trail and find his way back to the angry female. He just... wanted to say something to her. He didn't know what. He didn't know if she'd listen but he had to get the words out or he'd explode.
He was too wounded to hunt large prey. He stuck with hares and kilpspringers. Things that were faster but easier to grip. He slipped into the tall grasses before collapsing for a rest in their shade.
He'd find her. He just knew it.

The gazelle's path as she had passed them a few nights ago while coming here. They wouldn't be here for another day or two and there was no way she could really find them. So. She thought about it for a moment as she slinked by. Smelling and taking in her surroundings. Alright. What at this time in the early evening~ could she find?
A zebra at this hour would be mildly rare but maybe a mer-cat? But they were to fast. Zudu. Yes... she had seen a mother and a few fawns earlier and that would probably be her meal for the night. Taking a few steps and going on the prowl. It wasn't until she spotted them a few hours in that the winds brought a familiar smell. Her ears waved and she slightly moved her head up.
But lowered her head quickly as she heard them slightly step as though startled by something.. She sunk lower until she was touching the ground with her chin. Watching them and stalking them til the smell got closer. They were in plain sight- stupid animals. Her shoulder blades lifting as she very slowly inched forward.. When the smell got stronger- she couldn't wait any longer and sprung out in to a full run after the fawn- then was mixed by an older adol looking one that she ignored to zone in on the child of the three. Completely missing the fawn twice before pushing off a rock she had jumped on before tackle-rolling the fawn in to her clutched. Pulling the neck back and snapping it almost instantly. Her run had drained her a bit- it all went so fast and it was more the adrenalin than anything but now it was winding down as she gasped with the fawn in her maw. It was probably the height mid ways taller than Gin.
Probably off a few inches from her shoulder length but now it was in her death grip and she wasn't letting go til she regained her energy..

The male glanced up as a herd of impala were started as they stumbled over his hiding place in mid run. The deer-like creatures reared and changed their direction.
Something had been chasing him. Standing he heard the scream of the fawn and knew. Something had caught their prey. Perhaps it was Gin? He pulled himself from the ground and stalked forward through the grass, going the opposite direction of the fleeing animals.
He gasped slightly as he parted through the grass. It was one of the most beautiful sights he'd ever seen. Gin was there, her maw firmly wrapped around a fawn. She looked well and he found himself hesitating.
One paw after another he limped forward. "Gin?" He questioned softly. What else was he supposed to say?

As she inhaled and exhaled air rather harshly until she was able to gain some energy and get up. In doing so- she heard the jamming hooves about.. running further and further away. She closed her eyes and soaked for a moment. But then she heard the sound of feet splitting high grass and her whole being had stiffed up. Getting her to hind quarters to look out. Standing on all fours- unfortunately the position showed off the sharpened muscles that she had accumulated. Her long hair tuff- she shook it and looked out- zoning in on the male lion.
Her heart almost stopped and her digits felt sorta moist and the voice had rung her name through her ears.. and she took a step back and lowered herself. Dropping the carcass to her feet but didn't take her violet eyes off of him. Ears went back as she didn't really know what to do. Something told her 'run away!' while the other part of her noticed the limp. It hurt to watch him limp and it was mostly her fault for the limp probably.
"...." Her eyes showed the same question probably that his were. 'Your here?'. Then the transition to 'How did you find me.' She didn't take a step forward- she couldn't dare to. "What are you doing here." Apart of her was...slightly glad to see him..at least today had been different than soaking in the sun and watching aimlessly at the world with uninterested eyes that gazed lazily upon it.
Her face looked away from him.. and mustered up a roar. A threatening one.. as if not to say don't any closer than he already had.
Turning to him almost angrily but she couldn't be angry for too long at him.. "Why have you followed me!" On grounds to assume he did.. it was hard not having to wake up to food pre-caught. Nor wake up to having someone care for her wounds.. It was hard to show the difference between loneliness or being stuck having to get a broken heart... but the days felt more.. as if she woke up to LOOK forward to something. Look forward to yelling at him- or telling him off. The many days without him made her almost miss it- and yes. In some part she did....miss him.
Her eyes showed the mix emotions of caring and confusion..
"HABA!" She yelled inwardly and then looked rather hurt.. and almost ready to cry.

The older male watched as she stared at him. He could almost read her thoughts as she stared at him and put his own ears down. She hadn't wanted him to follow. He knew she didn't. So why did he? Because the thought of leaving her alone without someone to watch over her hurt him.
The roar made him flinch and but it didn't frighten him. He knew her ways and his only response was to sit on his hunches. Just like before he wasn't moving closer but he wasn't yielding either. Very much against his will, his maw broke into a goofy well meaning grin.
"I... wanted to see you again." He responded keeping the weight off his hind leg. "You left so suddenly..." He shifted his soft eyes to the ground then up at her again. "You... look very well."

The reactions he had done- were not.. expected but expected. She knew how he reacted and he knew exactly how she was on the outside. Rough.. yet she didn't leave when she could have a while back and depending on him made her feel..worse. Like- handcapped. As a fighter she couldn't handle it but she only knew the gentle Nyack..
He never gave up on her.
'See me again!? But- I was a horrid company!'
It made her almost sad, his words... but somewhat touched her. This was.. awkward to show any sorta thing~ and rather confusing. But her face slightly softened up as she gave a heavy sigh.. but then back to serious..
"Because- Look what I got you in to." She zoned in on his leg. "Being with me- a lot worse will happen." Slitting her eyes and her tail flicked. "You look as though a stampede ran you over.. but it's something that you can walk now- isn't it." Sighing. "You don't even know me yet you follow so blindly." Her words were harsh.. as she knew only to be. Grunting slightly- blowing her hair out of her face.

Nyack glanced back at his leg to flex it and smiled. "Ah... well... I broke it once before. A goddess healed it back. It would have ended up like this again sooner or later." He shrugged, "So I've had worse."
He lifted his head to stare at her, his mane falling gently into place. He looked proud and determined. "Then let it come. It will not make me want to leave you."

Eyeing that leg.. yet seeing as he knew a god? Wait. Gods didn't exist~ ancestors spirits did? Did he mean a spirit? Slightly confused.. but she looked on. "A goddess?" Shaking her head lightly in disbelief..
Her whole being was shaken though. Kindness.. she didn't even know what to do with herself! She took a step forward and lifted herself slightly.. looking in to his eyes.
"What has got you so fixed on me. Male."
She tilted her head. "Why. I still do not understand, I have no use for you any longer. I'm not a pathetic being that can not do anything on her own. I don't depend on you and I can not ask you to care for me." She looked back to her little lump of dirt that was lightened up by only the leaf-less tree that seemed as though it can break down any minute. Though sturdy- looks could be deceiving. "You must had something to live for before meeting me. I lost it all- and you helping me has only made me realize that I must hold this burden of living alone.. without purpose." Yes, she had a very dark view on herself and life still but at least she didn't try and kill herself.
She thought living was a punishment she had to see through. Even worse- she believed that the 'spirits' would keep her alive forever to live like this. The empty lump. "I'm useless to you."

Nyack let himself lay on the ground and sighed. She was still so distant. So far away from him despite being so close. "... You didn't ask. I decided to. I used to live without purpose too. When I was younger. I left my pride and no one I met would be friends with me or take me in. Then I found Taban and my entire world changed for the better. I won't let someone else loose their purpose. Its a sad way to live..."
He smiled, "You're not useless to me. You're smart and even if you can be a bit mean... I still like you. That means you've made me happy and anyone who makes someone else happy can't be useless."

The negative and the negative until slowly it started to break down her walls.. They had known each other for.. now what seemed years but it was only a few months. Thoughs purple eyes that met hers when he talked seriously about what he meant and when he laid there.. Flopping. As though he were making this at home. She was JUST about to object before he starts his story upon Taban. Someone she didn't know.. yet that similar story played on her past a bit.
Her whole world changed when she met Her captured mate, Nyota.. but what really changed her.. was him. She was a lot softer than inwardly after he took care of her .. she didn't go up and actively fight him... Now she just.. stood in front of him.. Blinking..
"....Like...me?" She lifted her head then tilted it.. Her tail flicking softly. Trying to really understand what he meant because all this making happy stuff sounded like.. something she would say. But not to.. anyone like him- not a male. Or so she thought. Lowering her head and leaning forward as though trying to understand.. standing this close to him for this long~ it was like when he was hurt and for the first time she didn't RUN away not to see a result. Instead. She stayed til he was fine then left.. Many things. Were.. different.

He gave her a deep warm smile. "Yes... I like you. You're not like any female I've met. I was very happy to learn your name. I like being around you." He hesitated then stood up so that their noses were touching. "... I'm sorry if I upset you, Gin. I only wish for you to be happy."

She took a step back... then with that answer she flopped on her butt. Almost like.. astonished. Surprised.. then just blankly stared at him.. her stomach gave out a gaping feeling.. She rose her head, feeling rather dizzy.. then she fell over. Blanking out.. One would call this fainting. It could very well be. She hadn't eaten in days again.. But that was because the paths of the gazelle had moved and she hadn't found where it met with her territory. She usually could hold her hunger for a few days but... with that news. She just.. well. Fainted!
Falling before him and with a thud..

The older male lion had no idea what to make of it when she suddenly fell right over. For a moment he was afraid she was ill again. He nosed her muzzle then her chest trying to get her to move. Had he hurt her? Or was she harmed? He didn't see any wounds.
The limping male grasped her by her neck fur and pulled her out of the sun and into the shade. He looked worriedly upon her before giving her cheek a soft lick. "Come on, Gin." He whispered worriedly. He stayed right beside her, unafraid she might lash out at him. Just worried for her safety.

It had to be at least an hour. Everything went black! And the sun was unusually hot... she was awaken by some sort of softness... against her face after a long blank version of 'heaven'. Then she awoke to a big.. pale brown face and a very big green mane. For a moment she slitted her eyes.. rolling them around a little to get a feel for things.. then her stomach rumbled which made all her body suddenly shake then ache.
"Wha- da~" She lifted her head slight and felt weak. Again. Shaking her head a bit. Then her stomach gave another GAPPING growl.. "Oh hush~" She spoke rather harshly directing it to her stomach.. "Nyack?" She looked at her position. Next to him- and his face so near hers.. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Gathering herself up and coiling in a protective ball. Almost like she made a 360!? "Oh..yea.." *stomach growl* "Arg.. I'm hungry." Blankly looking at him.. "Well... err... " She looked away. "Do.. you I guess.. know where any.. gazelle might be." Trying not to look him in the face but she sure was being SLIGHTLY shy about asking such a question. Especially to a male.. but which happened to be Nyack.. and slowly she was a lot more comfortable with him around.
"I know you can't keep up~ so.. I guess you tell me where and I'll.. err.. catch some...*gets really whisper like* for us." Having her ears back and her head lowered significantly.
