i said it to a friend AS we were shopping and i feel like there's a bit of truth.
idk the direction this post will go but i'm feeling p bad and want to let it out. hay waddup.

so yesterday i went shopping with 2 of my friends. everything they picked out was in extra small or small or if it ran tight, they'd pick a medium.

i'd pick out mediums or larges and some stores didn't even carry a size that fit me properly. either a medium's too tight or a large makes me look frumpy or a large is too tight and they don't have extra larges because lol why would they.

my friends are thin girls. i'm not the thinnest and i have curves and idk, everything i picked out just didn't fit right. there was a sweater i LOVED but in a medium it barely zipped up over my boobs and in a large it was too big in the arms and made me look frumpy.

my mom always is like, I HATE SHOPPING.
i understand what she means. i'm a weird shape, i'm 5 feet tall and like 118 lbs. and have boobs so it makes finding things that fit hard and i get discouraged.
i'm afraid of trying things on because i'm like, "oh that won't fit right." or "i'll look too fat."
i always go to the mall with an open mind and hoping to find new things and always leave with t-shirts because i see things that are nice and they don't end up fitting and i hate it and i...
don't know where this went at all.

god this was dumb.

i'm bigger than you by a lot. most stores don't carry my size and the ones that do are too big in the bust. so i hate shopping too. :{

enjoy accessory/shoe shopping instead. :3

Dude, I'm 5'2 and about 118 too. It just takes some practice. I wish I could go shopping with you.

the only time i think you can look frumpy is when you are 30+ imo
i love oversized clothes, tight-tightish clothing is kinda homo anyways

The problem isn't your body, it's that most clothing designers only design clothes for sticks or people who are round all over. There's no in-between for people who have skinny-yet-curvy bodies or larger women who don't necessarily have gigando boobs. In the eyes of clothing designers, either you're a flat stick with no boobs or butt, or a walking balloon with big, saggy tits.

yessss.

when i tried on a sweater that fit everywhere but was too bulky and long in the arms i was like,
"it's like if you're fat, you have giant arms that are a billion miles long."

chino, let's create a store that caters to different body types that doesn't charge a billion dollars for a shirt.

Yess! We can sell Maruko underwear there, too! biggrin

I have the problem where I need to buy large long-sleeved shirts because of two reasons: 1) boobage 2) I have long arms and anything smaller than a large the shirt might as well be 3/4-sleeved. emo

Ohgod I feel you. My upper body is a pretty average size, I guess, but my lower body is really weird. :c Like I can find jeans that fit perfectly in the waist but I can't button them because of my hips. Or I buy jeans that feel fine when I'm standing up, but dig into my stomach like crazy when I sit down. And of course, bigger sizes don't fit at all. :c

I have the same problem with pants. D: If I find ones that fit my waist, they don't go over my thighs/hips. If I find ones that go over my thighs/hips, i have to wear a belt so tight that the fabric at the top bunches up and looks weird. D:
