Senshi walked quietly through the forest. He was by himself as usual. This was a common occurrence for him. He was used to it... His lot in life was simple. He would always be alone. A wind started to pick up and it blew his unruly Mane and Tail around. With a slight shiver he picked up his pace and tried to find a place to stay for the night. Looking around he saw no where to hide but what he did see surprised him. Was that..? Is that..? A Mare..? No... It couldn't be... He shook his head and looked around again only for his eyes to be drawn back to her. If she was even real. He walked towards her blinking slightly stupidly.

Itzpapalotl had some time away from her family to quietly meditate to herself. A stroll through the forest was a relaxing way to unwind and meditate on whatever issue was important at the time. Luckily nothing life threatening.

Itzpapalotl quietly listened to the trees humming about in the swift breeze. Her own jewelry softly clinked about to the tree's tune as she stood perfectly still. A storm would no doubt make its way to the territory by midnight. Nothing serious by the smell, but a good amount of rain.

The moment of zen was halted abruptly when the sound of another's hooves entered the mix. Itzpapalotl's ears swiveled about in the direction of the new noise, followed promptly by her head. Her icy eyes glared a moment at the approaching stallion. A male? Entering -her- realm? The mere thought made her snort.

"Come no further." She spoke coldly as her feathers bristled.

On command and still transfixed by the Mare, that seemed to be there and still not, he stopped. With one head cocked to the side he regarded her. She was very beautiful and clearly an Angeni. He had only ever seen one in his lifetime. Another Mare that was a close friend of his Mothers. She was out and about and loved to fly around, quite the flamboyant Mare. Senshi secretly had a crush on the Mare as a colt. She only chided him and sent him on his way. It hurt but then he was a colt and now he was a grown Stallion. This Angeni seemed cold and calculative. This was sad as her coloring was quite happy. Head still cocked he asked, "Are... Are you real..?"

His question caused her to stair blankly for a moment. Last time she checked she had little resemblance to a ghost or an illusion. It might have been the forest or this stallion had never seen a mare before.

Her muscles relaxed slightly and her feathers settled. This one reminded her a little of Seeker, though not enough to trust him. In fact it was just his stuttering. Seeker had gotten much better, though he still stuttered occasionally around Xochi.

"Of course I am real." She nodded. "What busyness do you have in my mother's realm?" Her tone had melted slightly, but was still borderline cold.

Senshi stared for a moment then the answer registered, and so did her question... "Your mother realm.. I didn't know this was your Mother's realm. I have lived here since I was born..." He looked up with a sad look on his face. He had no family and wondered for a moment what it would be like. With a slight murr of displeasure in remembering the past he said, "Please forgive me for intruding and asking stupid questions. I am alone in my own little herd and am used to people kicking me out. If you wish me to go all you have to do is say so kind Angeni of the Realm." He watched her for a second but dared not make eye contact, for she would see the painful loneliness in his eyes and just feel sorry for him. He was tired of pity. With a snort he looked down.

Itzpapalotl's feather's bristled again at the ignorance. How could one not know of the great Xochiquetzal? Perhaps he was from a further reach of the forest. From what her mother had told her of males, some are tricky and lairs. Pity was what some wanted to get what they wanted with a mare. Pity was not on the mind.

She took note of his movements. Though there was the suspicion of lying the way he held his head and moved would say otherwise. He might have been an actor, but she would not know for sure yet.

Her brows furrowed. At that moment, her mind was made up. He was nothing like Seeker. "I would forgive the intrusion and the deficient questions. However, I will not tolerate such pathetic speak. It is none of my concern weather a herd accepts you or not. You will get no pity nor sympathy from me." She spoke boldly with her head held high.

He looked up at her hoping for once that the pain of his brothers death and his fathers brutal treatings had done to him. He tried to put strength behind his tones this time, "I wish again to be forgiven then Angeni. I do not expect pity from you... Nor do I wish it. I was just trying to find shelter from the cold when I saw you. Forgive me for decided to talk to such a divine creature. Forgive me for being polite!" He was getting mad and this could end out bad. It was not a good thing to anger an Angeni for they had powers. He didn't care. He was tired of people treating him with scorn because of his way of acting and speaking, maybe even the fact that he was a normal looking Stallion. But he would not stand to be treated with such impunity. "I do not care if this is your Mother's Realm. Last time I checked rulers tend to be kind to the inhabitants of their land..." He looked up with anger in his eyes, "Maybe your mother didn't teach you manners but mine did for me. At least I try to use them and be KIND." He hadn't meant to explode like that. He almost wished she would strike him down and end him. He was tired of this life and tired of scorn and judgment.

Itzpaplotl glared again. The sudden change in attitude had given her slight whiplash. The disrespect was something she had heard of, but had yet to encounter it... until now. Her nostrils flared. Emotional disorder or not the contempt was not to be tolerated.

"It was not your 'politeness' that I find so crude. It is your obvious desire for the sympathy and your sudden outburst of disrespect. Your mother would be sorely disappointed if she -had- taught you some manners. You ask for my forgiveness than toss about this little tantrum? Be gone from my sights... perhaps return when you are grown up and your tree bears fruit!"

Itzpapalotl's ears docked. Her hooves stamped aggressively at the ground.

Senshi stared for a moment and his ears came forward almost in curiosity trying to decipher what the Angeni had said about trees and fruits. "What the hell are you talking about Angeni..? Trees and fruit. This makes no sense." He took a moment to figure this out when the comment on his mother got to his brain. He bared his teeth and fairly growled, the sound rumbling up his throat. His ears laid back against his skull and he narrowed his eyes. "I don't care if you are an Angeni or if your mother owns this..." He looked around with contempt at the scarcely leafed branches and the forlorn dead trees. With a hiss to his next word, "Realm you should learn not to insult people mothers. No matter if I am no match for you. I will always fight to the death for my mothers honor!" He spoke of his mother that way because she was long dead. She had passed of lovebird syndrome when his father had challenged a Skinwalker and died fighting him.

Itzpapalotl snorted. It would be pointless to try and explain what she had really meant by that statement. She had already found it mute to carry on a civilized conversation with this miscreant. At no point in their conversation did she insult this stallion's poor mother. He seemed to be doing a fin job on insulting her himself. The insane poor excuse for a horse!

"Life will have a cruel lesson for you yet..." She spoke coldly to the Senshi.

There was no point in conversing with this low life any longer. Her wings extended as the light around her changed and created the illusion of a spectacular disappearance. The Holy Light would provide a nice cover as she quietly made her escape.

Senshi watched as the Angeni vanished. His temper immediately cooled and he watched the spot where she had been almost certain it was an Angeni trick. His mothers Angeni friend had very welly shown him a few of those. With a small defeated sigh he brought his ears forward and looked up, "Listen to me Angeni. I know you are still there. I have seen many such tricks from another such as yourself. Wait for one moment and allow me to explain my disgusting and pointless show of arrogance and violence." He waited for a moment and hoped that she would hear him out. He did not need another enemy in this world. Especially not an Angeni.

Though Itzpapalotl had already walked some distance away from where she had been, she did hear the stallion's plea. Again with a temper change? There seemed to be little point in staying aside from slight curiosity in what he might possibly have to say in explanation.

She contemplated, but quickly dismissed the idea of listening to what he had to say. Partly because he didn't ask politely or respectfully in her eyes. If he wished to ramble on that is his choice, but she was not one to be told what to do.

Her tail flicked as he moved forward again. Ironically, her ears did swivel back to 'listen' in case he did begin to 'ramble'.

Senshi went down on his front knees in an awkward bow. He was trying to be apologetic. "I do not know your name Angeni. All I ask is that you please listen to my plea." With a light sigh and a murr of displeasure he looked up, almost sure he could barely see her half invisible form. The Holy Light he believed it was called could hide an Angeni from view while they made their escape. "Great and Powerful Angeni Daughter of the Great Mother who Rules This Realm. I ask this of you. Please listen to my ailment. I fear I am losing my mind. These bouts of insanity and violence take hold of me at times. It frightens me. I do not know what to do." He looked at the retreating half visible form. "I beg of you. Help me..."

Itzpapalotl paused as she herd the plea of the stallion. The request was polite this time and full of the respect she deserved, which was very curious. Part of her begun to pity the stallion, perhaps he was tormented by some unfortunate curse?

She looked over her shoulder with a sigh. The sight was slightly flattering, but mostly pathetic.

With another sigh she turned around and started to head back toward the stallion. The illusion was held in place in case he decided to act up once again. She had changed the light slightly so that she appeared slightly off from where she truly was standing. Two chances was all this one would receive and he was on the second.

"Fine, you have my ear, but you have not earned my trust."

Senshi watched the partially visible form not knowing she was concealing where she truly was. He moved from his position on the ground and stood. "I am truly and regrettably sorry that one of my bouts targeted you. I know not much of the Angeni race only that they are kind healers. I fear that I am loosing my mind. These bouts of anger and violence creep up on me and drive people from me. I had heard rumors that this forest was home to Angeni and hoped that I might find one to help me." He murred lowly to himself. He still could not believe the things he said to this lovely Angeni. He felt sick to his stomach at the thought. "I am not sure if I am cursed or just have a condition but I wished and hoped that I would find an Angeni to help me and now I almost drove you off with my spiteful and horrible comments. I wish that I could take back what I said but I cannot. If you would find it in your heart to help me I would be forever indebted to you and would do anything to return the gift." He looked into the half invisible forms eyes and pleaded for her to say she would help him.
