BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!
I lied to you all.
I'm not writing a story for my Language Arts class.
Has anyone here heard of the program, "RPG Maker XV?"
It makes it easy to create a detailed, if not somewhat generic-looking, RolePlay Game, or RPG. I've played a couple games made with it, and began thinking. Then, I began deciding. The deciding ended a couple days ago.
I'm making a PC RPG about the GML. And you all get to be in it.
The Plot I need? It's for the Game. The plot needs to follow a newbie to the League, as he goes on missions and stoof. He won't be the toughest character in the game, that's reserved for yours truly, followed by the VCs, Crew, and then by Rank.
I need EVERYONE to do something else, though. I'm making individual sprites for everyone, and I need you guys to have your avatars resemble how you'd like to be portrayed in the game. That way, I've got a good reference for the sprites and such. Presently, I've got Myself, Sagi, and a stand-in for Merc.
When you've got your Avatar set, post in here and say so. You may also post a tektek if you want.
The deadline for this project is, as of yet, undetermined. Free Trial runs out in another 30 days, but I can almost certainly get around that.

--------------------------------------------------- I'm writing a story for my Language Arts 7-8 Class. I want to base it on the GML. But I can't think of a plot. It'll be a long story, it'll take at least a month to write. All I need from you guys is the plot. Remember, we're basing it on the GML. It needs to have a definite villain, or villains, as well as at least a couple plot twists. Winner gets 50k, runner up gets 25k. I reserve the right to add rules as necessary. Soooo... yeah.

It could start out similar to the League RP, then instead of how we made the enemy suicide just make it an opposing enemy league. The Leader can be a sword wielding ice user! Eh. I'm just lame on ideas.

Perhaps a Multiversal story concerning the GML, in which several versions of the GML (each being what the GML would be if it were lead by a different member of the crew) up against a parallel army, headed by an embodiment of the crew characters' worst fears.

But ... That is the plot of an RPG. Fight bad guy, win, bad guy comes back, win again then kill bad guy.

Well, you could probly ask Gear if you can cannibalize the Revres RP. At least I think it was his story and idea... Then again, regardless of who's story it is it wouldn't be yours, huh..
Shinme has alternate plan!
Dramatic battle situation. Wielder takes a hit, drops, as it wasn't the first and shouldn't be the last. His foe stands over him, a grin forming before he gets blasted with energy from another member (Xeg?) who quickly rushes to pick up Wielder. He takes Wielder to evac, where in he is given some stimulants and a quick patching. As they lift off, Wielder notices the foe didn't stay down and was watching them, cutting down faceless members as bullets whiz past. The story turns to a personal battle between Wielder, his obligations to the Guild and his personal need for a final conflict between him and this new, faceless foe.

Hmmm... Not bad... Another thing I should mention, is that I'd like the the story to follow a newbie to the League. So... I could easily adapt Shinme's idea...

Part of it could have the newbie basically see how different members of the league deal with the similar situations.
Basically have the newbie be the messenger between squads because the radio is being jammed, have him see how each specific leader is fighting off the current threat, could be anything from another army to super zombies, with the general tone of that s**t's hitting the fan. The style will be a little interesting. Essentially only part of the war/battle is being shown. There'll be both on and off screen victories and defeats as the GML makes a fighting retreat back into headquarters.
It'll be up to you whether or not the League will win the battle at the headquarters or have to evacuate to the four winds.

Perhaps... The adventures of 4 recruits: Allan, the hot blooded swordsman, Zetsue, the snarky, studious mage, Maxine, the shy technician, andLessia, the stoic assassin.
At first, they're training under the tutelage of other members seperately, but then are united by a strange rumor that there's something under the confines of the Merc League that was meant to be sealed forever. Upon being found, it is revealed to be a demon that the crew kept locked down within there, that had not only escaped, but was possessing random members of the League in order to try and ruin it from the inside for revenge, eventually possessing the crew members.

New recruits come in.
PC is new recruit.
Is welcomed warmly by the members.
Gets along great with everyone.
Until one night, he's sitting in his CHU, staring up at the ceiling with a smile on his face, and talking with the other new recruit he's bunked with. Their conversation is only heard as a few short comments on how the two feel they have made the right choice. At a pause in their conversation, the entire building suddenly shakes. The walls begin to crack, lights go out, and red emergency lights from the backup power supply shine through the crack beneath their door. The two rush into the hallway, ready for battle.
Base has been infiltrated by TERROR: The Evil Reigning Rascals of Regis (they're still working on the name).
Regis is the evil supreme overlord of TERROR, a group put together when a bunch of evil baddies got sick of getting their butts kicked by the Mercenary Good-Doers. Banding together, evil villains from the past try to take down the League, to forever end their Reign of Peace and Prosperity, and begin a new age of...um...well they may not have gotten that far in their planning yet.
Together, the Mercenaries fight off the threat in their base, though not until after all seems lost, because the newbie shows some awesome level of awesomeness that he didn't even realize he had!
Through this, he'll learn to master whatever epic gift he's been given, and will help the veterans defeat the forces of TERROR and Peace will Reign again!
But not until after TERROR has tried time and time again to somehow take over the world, or at least the city...they'd probably settle for a parking lot to be honest.
Dude, if you don't use this, I will. XD That was fun.
