I own MOST of the series, Fushigi Yugi... I am only missing one tape of it. Then I have the first three tapes of the Mysterious Play...
Favorite Character list.
Nuriko,
Hotohori,
Miaka,
Tsauki,
Chichiri,
and the other two of the Suzaku Seven... which I Cant spell without looking at the names again.
I am mad, I made a statement about how I watch anime and I always pick a favorite character and that character ALWAYS gets killed off. Its not fair. They just had to kill off Nuriko... Just like, in the anime Ceres: Celestial legends... they had to kill off my favorite character, toya. They killed Chrono in Chrono Crusade...

Nuriko, Is the thrid member of the Suzaku Seven to appear. At first Nuriko appears to be a woman, but somewhere between episodes six through eight you discover that Nuriko is actually man. He is a cross-dresser and very much gay.
His talents are Super strenght and his weapon is wrist protectors which gives him more power in his attacks.
Absolute Favorite Character in the Fushigi Yugi series.

Hotohori is the Prince of Konan. He is Narcisstic. He believes he is the most beautiful person in exsistance. He is very kind hearted. He is the second member of the Suzaku seven to appear. At first, Miaka thinks that Hotohori is a very attractive woman, but discovers in episode 2 that he is man and is the prince of Konan.
His weapon is the sword, and his goal is to find someone that is just as beautiful as he is.

Tamahome, is the first member of the Suzaku Seven to appear. He bares the chinese mark for Ogre on his forehead. He is in love with money. After Miaka returns home to her world, he discovers that he is in love with Miaka. ( No its not a spoiler, he discover this in episode nine... and in case anyone is wondering the series has fifty-two episodes all together... well the first season anyways)

Chichiri is the 4th member of the Suzaku seven to appear. He is a monk like ninja, considering he can disappear, and his skills are like that of one. Chichiri wears a smiling mask through out the entire series, and only in 4 episodes do you get to see his real face. When he takes off his mask, he is hot.
Miaka first meets him when he saves her life after shortly coming back from her world to other in order to save her Best friend, Yui... that and she discovers that she is in love with Tamahome and cant bare the thought of being away from him.
Gee... love... it has the same plot twist...if you want to call it that of Inuyasha... with Kagome...Yes that means Miaka gets kidnapped a lot and runs into a lot of trouble. The only diffrence between Kagome and Miaka is that Miaka actually fights back and doesnt scream... LOL

Tsauki is the 5th member of the suzaku seven. He is a bandit. His weapon is a fan, that can FLAME ON... yeah, I know. I just ripped a line from the fantastic 4. so sue me.
He has a very annoying voice in the english version...too squeaky. But his japanese voice is pretty good.
