 Duskback's "morning" had been pretty boring- he couldn't find what he'd wanted to find yet. Some smaller game that a wild dog could take down along was usually in this patch of ground, a different species could usually be found elsewhere in the pack's lands... But not today, it seemed. They all had caught onto him, maybe? He doubted it, since they'd been in those locations for so long.
His nose caught wind of something else, then. Something a little smaller than he'd been hoping for, but a meal was a meal. A hare was meandering around nearby, and Duskback couldn't be luckier- he'd wound up downwind of it. He crouched low and snuck up on it, picking up speed as he trotted... then galloped when the hare noticed. He ran smoothly over the land in the zigzag pattern that the hare led before he managed to get close enough to leap at it and deal a final blow to the middle section of its body.
It was an easy kill, and that disappointed him, but it was a kill nonetheless. The teen padded back to the main area of the pack, hare in jaws, ready to offer it to anyone who wanted it, or to eat it on his own if nobody did.

Dippedpaw was still getting use to pack life, it was so different to what she had expected but she was accepting that life was different and that she would get use to it eventually. She had hunted that morning but taken the kill's to the mothers and pups after all they needed it more then she did. She had been too tired to go and hunt for herself so she was just laying hoping someone would bring some extra kill back otherwise she would have to go hunt again.
She was washing her paws when she heard someone arriving, the smell of the prey is what caught her attention first and she couldn't help but looking up at the chocolate covered younger male heading towards the main area. Oh how she hoped he would offer the food around, mostly because she was so hungry. If not she would go off now, the smell of food was just too much to stay put when others were eating in front of her!

The young dog set down his kill and gave himself a quick shimmy to loosen up his neck before surveying the area. A few pack members were relatively nearby- enough so that if they wanted it, they could ask or show interest. That bunch over there isn't interested, he thought to himself, judging by their behavior. He turned a bit more to notice a mostly-white dog who seemed to be paying particularly close attention. He gave her a smile, he was pretty sure she was new here. One way or another, he hadn't been formally acquainted.
"Hey, you look hungry!" he said from a distance, keeping his smile. He picked the hare up again and padded over to a better distance for offering it, not to mention talking. He set it down again when he was closer and gave it a nudge with his nose. "If you want it, have at it. Hunting's my job for the pack, so I don't' mind at all," he said. After all, a hunter's job was to ensure that everyone's belly was full, and it was an important task, he knew! It was his duty to his packmates, he knew that he wouldn't go hungry one way or another. "I don't think we've met," he said with a mild nod, straightening himself up before sitting back on his haunches. "My name's Duskback," he introduced.
