(This is an ORP class on basic-level Pokemon training, and as such, more focused than a casual setting. If your character wouldn't need to attend the class (or just wouldn't,) think twice about jumping in. The decision is up to you. As with raids, I'll keep things moving along for the sake of getting this completed.)

At every level you were expected to set an example for those below you, and at elite rank that supposition became an unwritten requirement: share your knowledge, strengthen the whole.. and make note of liabilities before they become field hazards.

As Nadja's specialty lay in the breeding and subsequent training of powerful Pokemon, instruction was being held in one of the training gyms on the lower levels. This was a high-ceilinged room, heavily reinforced. Part of the floor had been retracted to reveal a pool for water battles, and there were no chairs. Those at grunt level or below would have received an e-mail notification a few days earlier, along with a couple of agents who weren't quite up to snuff, summoning them in the evening hours those on the day shift were allotted as break time.

Now it was five-til. The redheaded elite waited near the center of room, scrolling through a mail menu on her Rocket Dex with a vaguely disinterested expression. Staff meeting, cancellation, shipment confirmation..

When Faleen had gotten the E-mail, there was no doubt in her mind that she would be going to this class, she knew that when it came to Pokemon, there was a lot she needed to learn, or even understand.
Training what difficult, at times confusing and tedious, and not just for herself, her lack of knowledge affected her Pokemon as well.

The dark blond, in usual grunt uniform, stepped into the training gym that had been instructed, glancing around quietly before her gaze found a woman, dressed in Elite uniform standing in the middle of the room… Faleen had seen her once before, but couldn’t say she knew much else about her.
Taking a slow breath, folding her hands behind her back and strengthening her posture, Faleen continued into the room. Three pokeball’s attached to the strap around her thigh.
“Good evening ma’am” Faleen spoke, respectfully once she drew close enough to speak. The dull thudding of her boots drawing to a stop at an appropriate distance from the instructing elite.

Emilie caught sight of a grunt not far ahead of her as she walked towards the training gym, and was thankful for confirmation that she was in the right place at the right time. Leo, oddly quiet tonight, clung to her shoulder, his tiny claws snagged in her red trainee's shirt. Girl and pokemon gazed, awestruck, about the massive room. Emilie smiled timidly at the grunt and nodded at the elite agent, gently tugging Leo from her shoulder and placing him on the floor at her feet.

"Big brooother, let me GOOO! Let me go, let me go, let me goooo!"

Into the training gym walked Mister Sorano Dinkley in all his fit and prime form. However, he was joined with some extra company. His sister Lennyka was thrown carelessly over his shoulder as if she was some sort of hand bag. She was busy punching at her brother's back in hopes he would just put her down. Yet, the blows to his middle felt more like a keen massage than horrifying pain.

"Such yer lil' arse!" he cursed to her as he walked in, his little Flareon companion walking and twining between his feet. "Ya need this class, ya 'ear? Ya dun' even know how ta train Elly 'ight!"

"That is because she is yours!" replied Lennyka with a huff. She had worn herself out with all that punching. "You just gave her to me."

"Yea, I gave 'er ta ya 'cause all ya had was that lil' Chuchu that don' do squat! Ya didn' 'ven 'volve it! At least Elvis be 'volved an' ten times more powerful than that lil' piece o' junk!"

Lennyka was dropped to her feet and she hastily pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. Her older brother really was ticking her off.

"Leave Max out of this!" she bellowed. "He doesn't want to evolve! So just leave him be!"

The two continued to bicker like the clashing siblings they were. Never cocked an ear and looked for the nearest corner. It would be hard to sleep with them constantly screaming at each other like that.

Lilith sighed as she headed towards the training arena she was assigned to go. She had an e-mail sent to her days ago, but thought of it as a joke. she knew that she was only a grunt and needed pokemon training. Her pichu, Chuu, sat on her shoulder as they waited for the Elite to start their training. Her Glaceon, Fenrir, waited by her side.

Nadja looked up at the sound of footsteps and figures in her peripheral vision, causing the pearl drops in her ears to swing and sway, cupped by the curtain of her red hair. As the first arrival drew close, the elite's expression was thoughtful - a silent inquiry of 'have I seen you before?' until memory placed her as the Wailord victim at the beach. "Ah."

"Good evening," she returned in kind with a cordial smile, extending its brief duration to Emilie as she came alongside. The hat-wearing Pikachu was given a cursory evaluation.

That smile disappeared when the next grunt was fireman carried in by.. come to think of it, Nadja had never learned the name of that lanky, perpetually squinting grunt, but it was probably less important than what she did know about him, which involved lime green speedos and sloppy crossdressing. From the way they were squabbling, they were either lovers or siblings, and the hair ruled out the former.

The elite clipped her Rocket Dex back on her belt and took note of the pale-haired grunt that had just arrived with a slight nod, then turned her cool gray gaze on the bickering pair and cleared her throat, expression disapproving at best. Once it hit the top of the hour, they would be wasting everyone's time.

Oh that looks on the instructor's face made her recall the time when she did meet the Elite, and Faleen found herself partly hoping that she had forgotten. either way Faleen offered no explanation.
The noise of arguing drew Faleen's attention as it had the Elite's, though other then a mildly curious look, her eyebrows arching over her eyes, she made no movements of said nothing about the two.
Once again, people she had seen before, but was not formally introduced to.right now she just hoped they wouldn't continue that behavior during the lesson.

When Nyx received the email in her inbox, she almost ignored it. But then she remembered her promotion, and how Nadja suggested she show up to the training class. It seemed the little Agent couldn't outrun this issue forever. She sucked at battling, and anyone could tell.

So, a little before five pm, Nyx creeped into the specified gym. The pokemon that was following her, however, was not creeping. It was difficult for a five foot tall cannon turtle was hard to miss. "Blaaas..." Beaker grumbled at her trainer, who was trying her best not to be seen. Pathetic. The albino pokemon stomped over, grabbed Nyx, and carried her out towards the front of the gathering rockets.

"B-Beaker no! Put me down! Oh dear..." Nyx sighed. How embarrassing...

Come the defined grunt towards the two grunts (which was possibly why the role was called so, those of such a low rank just made the higher-ups clear their throat out of disapproval), Sorano and Lennyka quieted post haste and glanced towards the elite. Both wore a look of sheer terror. Were they going to be scowled? Sorano began to sloooowly inch away and found it in his duty to drag his sister along by her arm. Her body seemed to succumb to the symptoms of rigor mortis when they were addressed. Lennyka was always an easy one to scare. At least her brother had some guts.

Never took note of his retreating owner and turned to following after him. As he trotted towards the teal haired man, he skimmed passed Nadja momentarily and glanced up at her. He shrugged her off next and returned to his journey. Upon reaching his destination, he curled about Sorano's leg and yawned. When was this thing going to start?

Leo's fur bristled slightly as the massive turtle pokemon shuffled in, but his eyes quickly picked out Nyx and he instantly relaxed. "Chu! Chu!" It was his friend, the one who threw the rubber band ball! He hadn't seen her in while. Emilie saw Leo's target and tried to scoop the pikachu up, but missed as he tore off in the white haired agent's direction.

"Come on, Cin. This will do you good."

The door to the training area was pushed open soon after Sorano had dragged poor Lenna in. A sulking Charmeleon shuffled inside (trying to take his good old sweet time) but gave in when Jen gave him a nudge in the back with her toe before sliding in herself.

An unhappy glare from the fire type earned him a headshake.

"I swear, you are too much like Nyx in terms of a pokemon battle. You do fine against the practice dummies!" He whined in return; those things weren't even alive! He could attack without fear of hurting them!

But Jen wasn't caving-in; instead, she gave Nadja a polite salute before pushing her fire pokemon towards the gathered group. A little social interaction would do him good, along with the exercise.

Instead, the Dinkleys were treated to a smile when they met Nadja's gaze. It wasn't open-heartedly friendly, but it was pleased and pleasant. I have your attention. Good.

It faded at the sight of Nyx's disobedient Blastoise, Emilie's runaway Pikachu and Jen's reluctant Charmeleon. The redhead reached down to her low-slung belt; there was a click, a bright flash of light, and then a large Arcanine stood alert and foursquare before the half-circle of grunts. Nadja began her lecture, flanked by a dog as tall as a very tall man.

"Pokemon are tools to advance Team Rocket's goals." It was a firm statement, directed at the grunts whose creatures lazily milled about. "The first mistake of the novice is to assume this absolves them of responsibility. It does not. Any tool, be it a hammer or a Hariyama, must be properly selected, carefully maintained, and effectively used. With Pokemon, this translates to breeding, training, and strategy. To demonstrate the first two.." The elite weighed the Arcanine's Pokeball in her gloved hand before a half turn and a graceful extension of her arm sent it sailing into the pool. "Moloch. Retrieve."

The fire type's ears flattened and his head lowered at the prospect of the pool, but his hesitation lasted only a moment before he loped forward. Water surged over the sides when he splashed in and paddled toward the floating sphere, snagging it carefully in his teeth when he was close enough.

"Several of you were at some point exposed to the opinion that any Pokemon can flourish under the care of a diligent trainer," Nadja continued over the slap-slap of giant paws making waves, "And this is true. A well-trained weakling can hold its own." Her mouth curved in a sly smile as the Arcanine approached her again, water streaming from his fur. "But a well-trained prodigy can be overpowering. Good." This last was to the dog, whose sodden ears pricked forward and muzzle met his trainer's treat-filled palm with a noise approximating 'snorf.'

"You should consider your source material and invest your time wisely. But for now, we'll focus on modifying behavior. Tell me, or show me - up until now, how have you gotten your Pokemon to do something?" The question was directed at all of them, a general sampling.

The Flareon twined about Sorano Dinkley's feet cringed come every slap of water the Arcanine made to retrieve the ball and return. Did the water even bother the canine Pokemon? Squinted eyes darted towards Never, who returned the glance in full stare. Never could read the placid look on Sorano's face and in full, wished to say, "There is no way in hell I am doing that." However, with only the ability to spout, "Flareon, Flareon!", it wasn't much to get out his answer. In turn, he turned away from Sorano and ticked an ear at the other Pokeballs on his belt. There was Elvis, Horatio, Whinny, or Quinky to bother. Not him. He wished he was with Pietro, who busily floated around in the clouds and not be bothered by anyone or anything.

Lennyka fingered the only Pokeball she was told to bring to the class. She was quite too afraid to release the Charizard. What if it tried to eat her?!

Promptly, Sorano elbowed her side as he randomly chose a Pokeball from his belt. Out bounced Whinny in all her bubbly form and peered curiously at everyone. Who were these people? She didn't know them. Len cringed and pressed the button on the Pokeball. Out formed Eloise in a stretch, having been awoken from her once wonderful nap. Seeing Lennyka, she growled and frowned and that's when the meganekko went running in.

"Auuuuuh!" she cried from the training gym to the exit. She dropped Eloise's pokeball too. Oh, how clumsy was she? Eloise shrugged and turned to hugging her original owner, cooing at him and blushing redder than a Tamato berry. Sorano smiled lightly and stared at the Wigglytuff who was now getting jealous. Ugh.

"Well, Elly, guess I be takin' ya back, huh?" he said with a nod. "I'll give Len Pietro. He 'ight have more fun with 'er. Come on Whin, ya are not needed."

In her ball the Wigglytuff went. Her five minutes of fun were up. Never glanced towards the Charizard her had remembered in their youth. She was such a cute little Charmander. Too bad she evolved. Now she was just big and ugly.

As Lennyka went screaming for the exit, she would see Seth, who would lift a brow as she went running past him. That was interesting.

The tall elite gave a smirk as he turned his attention to the class at hand, particularly the instructor.

"Hm. Generally the running and screaming happens at the end of my classes, not the beginning."

The man, with his arms folded across his chest, entered the room and stood some paces away. He looked over the gathered grunts, trainees, and... agent. Then looked back to Nadja. "Don't mind me. I'm just here to observe."

Emilie had two favorite Pokemon. Raichu, for it was decently strong while cute and realistic for her to obtain, and Arcanine, for its power and majesty and the utter impossibility that one would even look at her as its trainer.

"Mon Dieu." My God. The words were practically silent. She felt privileged to watch the arcanine's dive and had to suppress the sudden urge to bow to him and the elite agent from whom he took commands.

As she listened to the smaller of the siblings taking off towards the door and smiled at the wry observation of the second elite, Emilie forgot for a moment what the group had been asked. As the inquiry sank in she bit her lip thoughtfully for a moment and admitted, color rising in her cheeks, "Well, the only command I tend to give Leo is "stop chewing on that." I don't really know how to train him at all".

Leo had trotted back to the trainee as Nadja began her address to the class, and as if realizing his trainer's embarrassment, ducked his head slightly.
