The sounds of music filled the early evening air as the city slowly went to sleep. For many, this was the time to settle down for the day and relax. For others, now was when the fun really began. In a nearby park, several tents and a large stage were set up for the night's activities. The city had decided to hold a free summer concert for all to enjoy. Food and drink was to be provided, as well as port-o-johns. As the crowd began growing, some of the bands started to arrive. Among those in the throng was Llujah.

The Greed spawn had been looking forward to this concert series all summer. It was a grand event, and considering it was free, that meant that he could come back all he wanted. After taking a quick stop at a nearby ice cream store to grab a cone of the frozen sweet goodness, Llu proceeded to join the crowd on the grasses. As he did, he looked about him, scanning the people's faces for anyone he knew. As far as he could tell, no one he knew was going to the concert, so even a mild acquaintance would be welcome. More and more eager concert goers filed into the park. Llu was determined to have a fun time either way.

There was one very good thing that had Gabriel going to the concert series that night. That was the fact that, considering all the stand selling beer, it was going to be filled with distracted and drunken people, whose pockets were stuffed full of paper money. As everyone who knew Gabriel knew, that meant that he was planning to loot as much as he was going to be able to that night, from every single person who didn't even look his way more than once. Well, a couple people did that, but those were usually the ones on drugs who thought that he was some strange, wish-granting creature. Which, obviously, he wasn't.

Currently, however, people hadn't gotten too smashed yet, and were therefore not very good victims to his sticky green fingers. Instead, he was just going to meander around, maybe listen to see if any of the music was the kind that he would like. As he continued through the crowd, a certain shock of purple-and-pink hair caught the edge of his sight and he blinked hard, turning on foot and looking around slowly. No, no... maybe it was just his imagination then. Shaking his head, he continued through the crowd.

He, himself, didn't have any money -since when did he ever?- but he did have his magical ability to charm people out of whatever they had. This was exactly the trick that he pulled on one of the vendors, looking up with wide, watery eyes, his ragged clothing only giving him more of a display of pity. He would have worn better clothing, but he knew what he was getting into, and that his clothes may have well been ruined if he'd decided to wear them. With those big eyes of his, he managed to steal away with a bag of hot, cinnamon-sugar roasted almonds. The pride boy practically drooled as he slowly ate through the bag, a broad smile on his tanned face.

A few of the bands had begun to warm up, and the sound of instruments and voices being tuned resonated in the park, which was quickly filling with denizens waiting for the concert to begin. Llujah looked about him. He was still rather hungry, despite the ice cream cone he had downed moments ago. The smell of cinnamon and sugar wafted towards his nostrils, setting his highly tuned senses ablaze. Entranced, Llu wiped his mouth on his glove and set off in hunt for the source of the delectable aroma.

His search came to an end when he reached a stall selling the coveted cinnamon-sugar almonds. A small crowd was beginning to grow around the stand as its popularity quickly spread. Llu slipped into line and, after several impatient minutes, was able to buy a pack of the sweets. As soon as the food was paid for, the Greed spawn grabbed a handful and gulped them down, delighting in their taste.

Now that this latest craving was fulfilled, Llu began to wander around the park once more. His tail flicked in his anxiousness for the concert to start. Why couldn't time move faster?! As he walked and thought, he forgot to watch where he was going and bumped right into someone. Startled, he staggered back a few steps and clung onto his almonds, making sure he did not lose any of the precious cargo. He took a deep breath and smoothed out his skirt. "I-I'm so sorry... Are you..." Before he could finish he sentence, however, Llu looked up at who he ran into and saw two feathery wings atop a rainbow colored mass of hair. Llu blinked.

"...Gabriel?"

Gabriel was enamored with the treats that he’d managed to win, huddled around the small, cone-shaped holder that they had come in. Patience dominant over his hunger at this point in time, he ate them slowly, one at a time, savouring a flavor that he doubted he would be able to taste again, especially not anytime soon. There were times, however, that his situation caused him to react to things more as though he was a greed child than a pride child. He never had any money, after all, and never had the luxuries that so many of the other kids his age had, spoilt until they needed to learn how to control their impulses.

That was why he reacted the way that he did when he was run into. Red eyes snapped wide open in surprise as, despite his attempt to hold onto them, the entire bundle of almonds fell to the ground, spilling all over the floor. He stiffened, having fallen to the ground. The very tip of his tail twitched, headwings tipping backward and ears following suit. Without even replying to the stammering apologies, he growled faintly, what little anger he could feel going into the sound, and knelt down, picking the almonds up off the ground and replacing them in the wax paper cone. The voice only made him more angry, and he turned his head sharply to the side, glaring.

What?”

At the very sharp and angry-sounding reaction, Llujah flinched away and cringed. His dual-colored eyes were wide in alarm and slight fright, though her chided himself for being afraid of what he presumed to be a friend. Though, from this "friend's" reaction to being bumped into, Llu began to doubt. Did Gabriel even recognize him at all? Of course, Llu would probably have reacted a similar way if he got ran into so rudely as he was guilty of.

"Uhh... Um..." The Greed spawn blinked, unsure as to where to start. He half-laughed awkwardly and held his hands up indignantly. "Gabriel, don't you recognize me? Llujah? Remember? We played together on the playground?"

As he explained himself to his younger friend, Llujah did notice that Gabriel had grown significantly since their last encounter, which, if memory served, was at the Facility during his first Skills class with the twins' father. Speaking of the twins, where was Damien, Llu wondered. Had he grown as well as Gabriel? It made sense if they were twins, in Llu's mind.

"Anyhoo," he spoke again, "what're you doing here? Are you here to listen to the concert, too?"

Gabriel was doing what he could to pick up all of his almonds, though they were much cooler to the touch already. Dammit... he was so excited about them, too. With how hard it was to just get the first ones, there was almost no chance that he was going to be able to get another batch of them from the vendor at this rate, so he would have to eat the ones he had: Cold and covered in dirt and grass. Stupid kid, running into him and spilling one of the few treats that he'd gotten in the longest times. Who did he think he was, any--

"Llujah...? Holly?" Gabriel asked, jumping up with his collected almonds and chuckling awkwardly, a blush coming to his dark face. He nodded a few times, kicking at the ground beneath his feet sheepishly.

"Thorry about that. I jutht don't get thweet food a lot, tho it wath kind of dithapointing for it to thpill all over the ground. But, yeah, I'm here for the conthert, too. How have you been?" the pride kid ranted, tail flicking back and forth. He was still irritated about the fact that his food had been spilled, but he was at least calming down a little bit. Better Llujah than someone stupider and more annoying.

Llujah smiled at the old nickname given to him by his young friend when they first met. It still struck him as odd how Gabriel got the name "Holly" from "Llujah," but he did not mind. It was a term of endearment, and he welcomed it warmly. The nickname was a much better reception than an irritated spawn, in any case.

"Oh no! I made you spill your food? Gosh, I'm sorry!" Llujah frowned, genuinely feeling guilty that he had caused Gabriel to lose some of his precious bundle. The Greed spawn paused, eyes gravitating down towards his own pack of cinnamon-sugar almonds in his hand. Should he really...? Well, it was the right thing to do, he knew, but...

"Um... Maybe... D-do you want some... of mine?" Smiling weakly, Llu handed out his pack of sweets to his younger friend. It was a damn shame to let them go, and Llu could feel his sin preventing him from loosening his grip to less than a choke-hold. His could feel his tail twitching anxiously in his reluctance to let some of the almonds go, but it was only fair.

Gabriel's flicked back headwings and ears made it obvious that he was rather upset with the entire situation, tail flicking back and forth as he ate his soft nuts rather angrily. At the same time, Holly was a girl, and he shouldn't be mad at her, because... well, that just wasn't nice. It wasn't good to be mean to a girl. He wasn't sure why, but it just wasn't. Then again... Holly didn't look like most girls her age. She was very... flat and boy-shaped. But from what he'd seen, girls who had that problem usually hated it and were very upset about it and the like, so he probably shouldn't comment... right?

Gabriel sighed softly at the way the other offered some of the almonds to him, holding up one hand in refusal and shaking his head. "No, it'th alright," he replied simply, able to tell by the way the other's hand shook that offering something that was her's was almost impossible. As such, he wasn't going to force her to give up her almonds just because she... knocked his to the floor and... he didn't get food, ever. He rolled his eyes. Oh well.

"Tho, should we go find thomewhere good to hear the muthic?"
