It was quiet, and that was just the way she liked it. So much time had passed since she had come outside to the gardens. A small smile pulled at her lips as she adjusted her skirt to a better position for taking a seat. She crossed her ankles and folded her hands in her lap, gazing around at the flowers. "Finally some peace," she mumbled gently, closing her eyes and heaving a sigh.

It was yet another day that he despised being in the pound. There was just too many others around for his liking. But, there is at least one place here that he can get some respite. The garden. It was true, that whenever the scrawny cat would go to the garden, there will still be at least one other wayward as well, but he can tolerate one rather than many... barely.
Today, as he walked through the pathways of the garden, Frost hoped that this could be one day that he garden was empty. It wasn't. As he walked, he came across a female cat sitting on a bench... what... luck.

The peaceful quiet of the garden suddenly wasn't so peaceful. Footsteps sounded in the distance causing her ears to twitch in agitation. Great. Now she would have to share her peace with someone else. More than likely they'd be loud, obnoxious, irritating, and, she shuddered, a dog. There were far too many running around here for her to be comfortable. She opened her eyes and spied the intruder, her muscles relaxed and she released a small sigh of relief. It wasn't a dog. That still didn't mean he wasn't going to be annoying.

The calico male came to a stop when he noticed the female cat sitting on the bench not too far from him. His fluffy tail flicked slightly as he eyed her, his normal scowl never leaving his face. He wasn't interested in talking, but honestly, Frost never was. Clenching his fists, he snorted and began to walk again. He hoped the female was the type to mind her own business and not try to converse with him. Now, he was less inclined to use full strength on a girl, but he wouldn't be against it if they truly dug on his nerves.

When he began to walk again she once again relaxed even more, her quiet would not be disturbed. She turned away from him, focusing on the flowers that had previously been behind her. The ratty looking boy had ruined the view on that side for the time being. She pulled her hair over her shoulder, losing herself in her thoughts once more, completely and utterly disregarding the other wayward.

He gave the girl one last glance before moving away. He didn't really go too far though, unknowingly of course. He just located the first nearby bench that he could and sat onto it. His tail curled and rested against his leg, as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes. There, he proceeded to mull things over in his mind, getting into a state of 'calmness'. Oddly enough, as he calmed, he still had a slight scowl on his face.
