Letting out a yawn Zarion blinked sleepily and stood slowly still in sleep mode. Shaking his blue toned body with lazy contentment, Zarion survied his land by his current resting place. A large old tree that overlooked the land. Licking his lips, he thought about hunting for food and his stomach growled its approval on the idea of catching some fish or antelope. Looking below he began to assess the best way down since he was so high up. Claws extended, he made his way downward and landed perfectly on his big pawed feet.
Taking his time, he pondered what to eat while he walked. Which didn't take him long. Fish. He felt like eating fish for his morning fast.

" Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love. There's nothing you can do that can't be done. Nothing you can sing that can't be sung. Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game It's easy." Daktari sang outloud enjoying the day, the weather was perfect. Not too hot or cold, just right. With his head in the clouds he almost tripped on an upturned stone in the path.
He laughed, " Oops guess I should be paying attention!" Freezing when a butterfly landed on his nose, he blinked watching the orange creature flap its wing or two before it flew off.

With fish on the brain Zarion continued his trek down semi-hilly path. It was a quiet day in the roguelands, just how he liked it. Zarion was a bit of a loner and rarely liked to chat with others but when confronted with someone, he wouldn't ignore them though. He wasn't rude but he didn't go out of his way either. Taking a look around before stepping out into the opening, Zarion made his way down the hidden path that connected to the river.
The smell of the clear water meet earth was wonderful and fresh. Finally at the water, Zarion sat and patiently watched the water in hopes that he would spot a couple fish to eat. " Oh come on!" A frown upon his face, Zarion continued to watch the water. It was now mid-day and still not one fish had appeared.

Nose in the air, Daktari smelt the wonder sent of flowers blooming. Trotting over to a tree he found the perfect spot, soft grass and in the shade with sunbeams peeking out of the branches and onto his body. He spent some good napping time there for quite some time, so long infact that it was mid-day. Blinking sleepily, he rose and stretched his body, letting out a semi-loud yawning roar. He moved away from the tree and headed off once more.
Nose once again in the air he smelt water and with water came food and with food came hunger satisfied! Daktari picked up his pace and was almost there until he heard 'Come on!' from said river. One never to be in the shadows, Daktari headed towards the voice inorder to greet the male, by the sounds of it.

Zarion let out a sigh of disgust and shook his head in frustration after spending hours by this fishless lake. He stood and gave one last snarl at the quiet surroundings. A snap of branch followed his snarl causing Zarion to whip around and hiss at the unknown intruder. " Who's there?" He demanded in a tone that was filled with authority. After a few minutes and still no response or movement, Zarion called out again getting a little aggreviated. " I know you are out there, I heard you. You have got two more minutes before I come out there and find you myself."

'Crud, others always said I had two left feet.' Daktari looked down at the branch accusingly as if it was its fault for giving away his position. ' Boy,' He blinked, 'that other fella sure sounded angry.' Daktari peered out and took in his fill at the other male. ' Hm, different species. Looks to be... leopard? Yeah leopard, weird coloring though.' But who was he to judge. He was brought out of his internal monologue by the other threatening him.
Clearing his throat, he stepped out and made himself known. " Hullo, I was just lookin' for some food is all. Didn't mean to... interrupt you."

A pink lion. Now he had seen everything. Internally he took in the situation and found it quite humorious but externally all his emotions were hidden. A warrior knew not to share what one was feeling to the enemy, if they were one. "Hungry are you well. This is my territory lion, and its not polite to hide... especially from me. I am a known warrior of these lands." Well ordering him, he was. In anycase he wasn't going to let the other know of his untruth. " You are sorely mistaken if you think to find food this way, you were going in the wrong direction. You don't look like a bad sort, so I will help you go in the right direction. Then I must leave you, to go on my own way."

Blinking at the other male he was shocked at the attitude the other was giving him and if it were possible... he would have sweatdropped at the abrupted tone of his. "Um, alright... lead the way I guess." After following the jaguar for a sometime or so Daktari decided to try conversation again. " My names Daktari by the way. And you are? Are we almost there yet? I'm getting pretty hungry.." He moved his semi-bulky body alongside the other male. " Boy you sure are a skinny thing, you should eat more. "

Sighing, Zarion enjoyed the silence... well almost that is until his 'buddy' started talking again. Eyebrows twitching in annoyance he started at the word 'skinny'. " My name is Zarion. And I'll have you know! I am not skinny, its lean. I do alot of exercise and hunting so I work off what I eat." He muttered the next sentence. " Unlike some lions."
Continuing on he almost sigh in relief, they were here! Finally, after the longest time. " Well, its been a pleasure, enjoy your hunting. This is where I usually go, plenty of things to eat."

" Um, well alright then... Thank you for showing me the way, I appreciate it Zarion." He frowned at the others rudeness. ' I didn't know I was that... annoying.' Daktari started to walking away towards the smaller animals, luckily unnoticed. He looked back one more time to find Zarion had walked away from him. Ears drupping a bit, he snorted to shake off the sudden sadness and then began to hunt.
END.
