Damn how easily bored Uumi got, and how unfair it was because it was too hard to cure that boredom. Currently he was near the edge of pride rock, where he normally liked to stay.
His crimson paw was resting on top of a small mouse's tail, the little thing still trying to run because it was terrified. After a bit he lifted up, watching it run away. He wondered what made all mice afraid of lions. What if a mouse had never seen a lion before.. did instincts provide it to run in fear?
Which got Uumi thinking about how fear even worked. His crimson gaze slowly glazed over, at first glance he appeared to be looking over the pride lands, but this wasn't so. He was just thinking deeply, lost in his thoughts.

 The caramel-coloured juvenile wandered out of his den and up to the large flat rock that provided the distinct platform of the Pridelands' landmark. He had just awoken from a nap and found, as was usual these days, that his sister was not there cuddled near him. It had made him thoughful, pondering why she wasn't there. Why it was that she wanted to go and leave these lands? And so he had thought to climb up and look out over the plains, to view the place which he loved and she seemed to hate.
As he reached the stone platform he spotted the red male juvenile in the spot where he had intended to go. 'Rocky' his sister had called him, but he doubted that was his name. It seemed too odd and unlike any other names he'd heard of.
Now normally he might avoid the red twins, they were hardly friendly, but today he was hopeful. This red lion did know Kiburi and perhaps knew more of why she wanted to go? Or could at least share Mchele's disappointment. And then there was that other young lion Mchele had met out near the gorge. It was this one's brother so surely he would know his name, as the lion wouldn't speak at all to Mchele and tell him himself.

Uumi could see why one would want to leave this land, besides his own obvious reasons for wanting to leave it. It was a beautiful land, which he'd only admit to himself and boast to others when they tried to claim their prides better.. but still, something was lacking.
His crimson tail flicked over the dusty rock top, the black tip making a line which ever way it flicked. He grunted and his head shook a little, from side to side. He shut his eyes and opened them again, coming to.
He took a slow, careful breath. He could not breath in too deeply or too quickly, less he wanted to set his coughing attacks off. He could faintly smell Mchele, who was behind him. It reminded him of her. Little miss peach who couldn't talk well if her life depended on it. "Need something?" He asked, calmly and cooly.

As the young pridelander approached, he watched the other one carefully. He didn't really understand this red twin's sickness. Sometimes he seemed ok, but then other times he would couch as if choking. Whatever it was, it didn't seem to lessen the mean streak he shared with Kiuma.
When at last he neared and Uumi spoke, he gave a faint gasp. He hadn't really thought the other would notice him, or rather, pay him any attention. But admittedly that would be hard seeing as they were the only two sharing this view.
Seeing as he hadn't been shoo'ed away, he came forward and flopped down on his side, his forepaws settled neatly in front of him. "Oh, oh nothing really..." He mused and then paused before looking over at the other's face. "You're one of the princes aren't you. Well obviously... Kib seemed to want to talk to you all the time, but I don't think your name's 'Rocky' as she called you. What is it?"

His right ear flicked at the gasp and a satisfied smirk twisted his lips a moment, as the other male flopped down he looked at him out of the corner of his eye. He looked a lot like Peach, in other words; Kiburi.
One of the princes. Uumi guessed that was right, but he'd be leaving here. One day. "Obviously." He said, rolling his eyes and repeating part of Mchele's words. Hmm, someone wanted to talk to him all the time? Uumi frowned in confusion, glancing over to the other finally. He must have been mistaken, his twin was the only one who enjoyed daily talks with the little red prince. "It's Uumikaji. It'd do her good to learn it." He muttered, though in less of a snotty manner than before. He was fasinated, partly. But again, Mchele must have been mistaken.
"And your own name? One should usually tell of their name before asking the name of another." He smirked, just trying to give the other a hard time.

Mchele twisted his ears backwards at the reprimand. He never realised that was the way to go about finding out people's names. But then, this was a prince of the pride and so presumably they would know all about introductions and such. He looked at the rock beneath his paws and kneaded it slightly with them.
"Oh.. right. Of course." He murmered softly before raising his voice to a more audible level. "It's Mchele. My name..... And Uumikaji? Ok, I'll tell her that when.. if I see her." His tail flicked uncertainly and he certainly wasn't the happiest-looking lion as he said that. But then he looked back at Uumi, remembering his other question. "Say, what's your brother's name? I met him the other day but he wouldn't tell me."

He snorted at the others unease, tail flicking slightly. He began to purr a little, he was rather comforted when he could keep others feeling uneasy. "Mchele. Hmph." He made no other comment on the name. He looked back to the view, ear flicking to catch the last of his words.
"Kijito I presume, is whome you're speaking of." Well for one, it was because he only had one brother. Secondly it was because Kijito was mute or some nonsense and didn't talk to anyone, thought Uumi had gotten one word out of him. Once. But he'd rather forget that, he didn't like his siblings. Besides his twin, of course.
"And he wouldn't tell you because he's mute. Or pretending to be or something, don't worry over it. He's nothing special." Uumi smirked, lips curling a little and purring dying off.

Mchele's eyes glanced towards the prince's face when he repeated his name, followed by a rather uninterested-sounding sigh. Yeah well... this character was hardly the most friendly lion in the pride. The honey-pelted lion felt he'd rather be off playing with Kijito, even if he was mute.
"Yeah, mute... I guess that must be him. Kijito huh? Well, I'll know now for when I next see him." He nodded slightly, still gently kneading his paws. It rather helped comfort his nervousness around this other lion. He hadn't felt this way around Kijito. "He seemed ok to me... Besides the not-speaking bit. But that doesn't really matter. He was quite fun."

His eyes narrowed a little and he slowly sat himself up, toes on each paw flexing. His body seemed to protest the getting up bit, he'd been laying in the same position for hours.
"Fun; I bet. You must have a very interesting idea on fun, then." Kij sometimes wouldn't leave Uumi alone, unless Uumi taunted him enough. But he had to be careful about that kind of stuff because he knew Kij was not incapable of attacking him. Uumi was mean and his words vicious, but he was rather cowardly if you though about it. Then again, it wasn't his fault his poor health made him unable to fight or play normal games.
"So where's your sister?" He smirked, maybe he could go poke fun at her or something.

Mchele watched him get up though he remained laying on the warm stone. He flicked his tail a bit against the floor and tilted his head. "Well... we just chased each other about, and I..." He paused, thinking. It might not be so good to mention he'd given the other juvenile a bit of a wash and a tickle. He'd probably tease him about it.
But if he thought Uumi wouldn't tease him if he didn't say anything, he soon thought differently. At the other's smirk and seemingly simple question Mchele withdrew, curling his paws under him and his tail around him. "She's not here..." He whispered. "Didn't want to live with me anymore."

Though his next words gave the little red twin pause. "Not here?" He repeated, slowly looking around. "You mean the little idiot isn't even in the pridelands?" Jealousy seemed to overflood his heart. He should be out of these lands. He should be exploring new places! Not the little wench, just he and his twin! He hissed, eyes narrowing on Mchele. And before he'd even given the other a chance to answere, "Well?" He sneered.
