Kucha'epsi moved towards the border of his new lands, yes his pride's lands!! It felt so good to belong somewhere. That was not what he should be thinking about right now though. He was stocked up on herbs but in an unfamiliar area there just has to be some knew herbs somewhere.
Oh Kucha was right he knew he would be right. He picked the leaves of the new plant and sniffed them before placing them to his lips waiting to see if there was any immediate reaction. Which there was, a numbing sensation, now this would scare any normal lion off, but not Kucha. He took another leaf and started to place it in his jaws.

Valetudo'Sero was looking for herbs. It really wasn't all that surprising since she always was looking for herbs after all she is the goddess of herb lore. Unlike some of her other trips Val was not looking for a particular herb but a few general ones that grew all over Africa. She wandered in this particular direction because she didn't remember being so close to this particular pride before, therefor the native herbs that grew in this area.
Keeping wide of the prides borders she didn't see the blue and red lion at first. It wasn't until she ambled over to another plant that she spotted him. He was standing over one of the plants she used in quite a few items, a plant that caused a numbing sensation and was great at preventing infections. She watched him out of the corner of her eye as he seemed to taste a leaf, which was a bad move but not as bad as it would be if he tried to eat it....
Val nearly fell over in surprise when the lion seemed to be placing another leaf in his mouth. Once on the skin will numb it, eating it will make you sick... if your lucky. Val literally flew over the fairly short distance separating them, no longer really caring about pride boundary. With one quick move she slapped the leaf away and scolded down at the lion not realizing that she was still a good foot above the ground. "Are you stupid or something?"

Kucha blinked turning his paw over before jumping to scoop up the leaf that had been knocked out of his paw. He stuffed it in one of his pouches before turning to look at the goddess hovering above the ground.
"No.....maybe....." Kucha had never met a god or goddess before. Was this herb a powerful hallucinogenic? Or was this more of the pride craziness rubbing off on him? Then again neither could slap something out his paw could they? Or could they? He would assume for now that this creature was real.
"Do you know of this herb ma'am. I'm afraid I am not familiar with it so I was testing it. I know it had a numbing sensation, but I also specialize in healing and poisons so I always test the herbs all the way." Kucha said with a tilt of his head and an innocent smile.

"Maybe?" Now Val was confused. Most didn't take well to having someone call them stupid let alone having that same someone slap something out of their paw.
"Yes and that was apparent." When he said that he specialized in healing and poisons she was mildly surprised but when he said he tested all herbs that way she was shocked. "What happens if you 'test' something extremely dangerous like that plant for instance." She never knew someone who would blatantly risk themselves that way. Most she had met left unknown plants alone and only work with what they knew or were told worked. Val could work with plants she had never seen before because of who she was but she never would have guessed a mortal would do something like that.
