 Kayo was enjoying life at his new home and pride he now was apart of. it had taken some time to adjust but he was doing great learning the ways of the pride and adjusting. stretching out, he was going to take a little time to explore the area's of the pride he was allowed to since he was still getting familiar with it.

The pride didn't take him long to adjust too. That was probably because Mato had his mother, father, and a few of his siblings here. Sure, he'd wandered away from them for a while, but he was juts as close as ever now. Either way, the pale lion moved through the sands and gave a sigh. What was he to do now?
Looking in the distance, he saw movement ahead and smirked. Well, it was in the pride lands, so it had to have been another member. "Hello over there!"

Kayo was far from his family but he loved them dearly and hoped they where doing well. he snapped to attention when he heard a hello. glancing about, it was obvious not that the other male was talking to him. " Hi there." he made his way closer to the other male so they wouldn't be shouting just to talk. " my name is Kayo. i'm a bit new around here."

He moved closer as well, not wanting to shout anymore. "I'm Mato. I'm not as new around here, but I'm not old either." He laughed at that and looked up at the blue sky and then back at the male before him. Something told him this male was straight, but that was alright.
"What made you pick this pride? Love the heat?"

" a pleasure to meet you Mato." Kayo was indeed straight though he had yet to find a mate. " the heat has been something that i'm learning to get use to. but in all honesty i'm not quite sure what possessed me to decided to settle down here. its a lot different from my home pride i left." chuckling a little, he had gotten home sick a few times but with keeping himself busy he was feeling like he fit in more the longer he stayed. " so you where born and raised here?"

Matokea'kwa laughed with the male and the shook his head. "I was not. I was born in the rogue lands and we moved around a lot. I wandered away from my mother when I was just but a cub still, and was on my own until... about .... Well, not all that long ago, and wandered here following their scent." He grinned at that and watched the others reaction. Sometimes he got scolded by the older females of the pride for wandering at such a young age. He got the whole 'you could have died' thing. But here he was, a live and healthy as a horse.

" that is a great story and amazing you managed to find them again." Kayo had never gotten lost from his parents at all since they lived in a pride and stuck close. " i bet it was tough going being alone as a cub but it seems you managed just fine on your own." he wondered what it would of been like if he had ever wandered off and got lost from his parents back when he was just a cub. all he could think was that it would be a pretty scary and crazy experience.

"Sure, it was a bit scary, but as I wandered, I ran into some mothers who took me in for a few days at a time. Just enough time to get me fed and warm again and then off I went." Mato had never thought of staying with those females and cubs. He had always felt awkward, because the boy cubs always seemed to hate him for butting in on their 'mother time'. That's why he left after a few days. "You should seek my sister, Shani, out. We weren't particularly close, but we're siblings, you know? And a good chance for you to meet more pride members."

" your very bessed to have your family now after all of that." Kayo was amazed and blown away by his story. he was almost sad he had no real story to tell in return but his life had always been good. " i might have to do that. i defiantly do need to get to know the members and the pride more." he really hoped he would quickly settle in and become a good member of the pride.
