User ImageShe was out on her own... lazying around as usual. She never had much to do, nor any friends, really. Usha was always too careless to maintain any kind of relationship. They normally had to come to her if they ever wanted to see her.

Her days normally consisted of laying around basking in the sun, or sleeping. Of course, eating came into the picture quite often as well. Though, she could never find the energy to get up and kill something herself. This made her, more less, an omnivore. With the kind of lifestyle that she chose, she really had no other choice. As long as it's food, though, she'll eat it.

"Ahhhh..." A loud and grumbly sigh swam through the air as Usha stretched on the top of her warm boulder. The sun beating on it always kept it nice and cozy; as if the savanna wasn't cozy enough as it was.

She wasn't looking for anything to do, really. Everyday was practically like this after all. The most she'd do was watch all of the others around her. To her it was a relaxing life, but to most others, they thought she was wasting her life away. Frankly, she got sick of hearing it.

User ImageTaking a stroll, a golden jackel heard a sound in the near distance. She wasn't quite sure what kind of animal it was, but she was curious to find out. With a past experience, she came close to danger, but she decided to put that behind her. She would approach with caution, but maybe she could make a new friend!

Kianga didn't hear any noises after that, but she kept searching for the creature who created the hullabaloo. When she came out into the open, she noticed a colorful canine sprawled across a giant rock. Could this be?

"Umm... hi there," she mumbled with a sweet smile. Kianga was always friendly. Even to others who weren't exactly friendly to her. It was in her nature. Curious as to what response would come out of the female, she stayed a bit of a distance; just in case.

At first, Usha was startled at the voice of a stranger. She wasn't expecting anybody, nor did she think anyone was around. Maybe it was time for a better solitary area, but she loved that boulder.

Quickly looking towards the golden jackal, she noticed the creature was of no harm to her. Once she knew that it was friend, not foe, she laid her head back down on the rock. She sighed, knowing that she had to hold a conversation. Though, she was to relaxed to make the other leave.

"Hi..." she sighed. Usha really didn't want to deal with this. All she wanted was to be alone and maybe catch a nap in the sun rays.

The wild dog didn't seem like a threat, so Kianga stepped a bit closer. With the making of the sigh, she knew that she didn't want to be pestered, but maybe she could change the other's mind about wanting to be left alone. It was a beautiful day and it should not be wasted! Little did Kianga know, if she were to say that, the little jackal wouldn't hear the end of it.

"Why are you laying around on this beautiful day?" she asked in a cheery manner.

"Are you sick?"

Someone definitely had to be sick, somehow, not to want to be doing anything right now.

Still having her head in the opposite direction of Kianga, she raised an eyebrow at the question of illness. It was the first time this question has come up before. She's been called crazy, lazy, and worthless before, but not sick.

"No, I'm not sick!" Rolling her eyes, she dragged her legs underneath herself and stood up to prove it. Usha was right. She surely wasn't sick. In fact, if you looked close enough, she had a small pouch going on. Feeding herself and illness was no problem.

After standing, she had a small head rush. Her body took longer to adjust to standing up since she was laying most of the time. It normally went away within a few moments, but it was kind of an annoyance at times.

"So why did you start talking to me anyways?" Wanting to know the reason why she was interrupted from her relaxation, she figured she'd ask the question.

Honestly, Kianga was surprised that the female even laid a paw underneath herself. Not because she thought she couldn't, but because she thought she didn't want to. She probably didn't want to, but Kianga wasn't quite sure why she did it exactly.

"Okay, you're not sick." she shrugged. Looking over the female, she figured she was right. Kianga was being more sarcastic with that question than literal.

"Well I was just talking a stroll and I heard you groan. I decided I'd see where it came from and I found you. You looked like you could use some spice in your day, so I figured I'd take a try at talking to you..."

She figured she give the next idea a try also.

"... and maybe get you on your feet and get to know each other better." Yes, it was worth a try. Kianga was always up for making new friends and although this female wasn't particularly friendly right now, she certainly wasn't mean. She figured she was just lazy and probably a tad sour at the moment.

Usha was pleased that the jackal agreed with the statement of her not being sick... because she wasn't! That would have been a ridiculous conclusion. If she was unhealthy in any way, it would probably be from her being overweight!

Well, the first part of Kianga's explanation wasn't too painful, but the second part made the sunset female groan even more.

"Ughhh... Is this really necessary? You don't even know me! Why would you want to get to know me?"

If the jackal was to get her to go on any time of walk, she'd have to drag her. She was NOT going.

Kianga sort of giggled at the complaining of this canine. Not in a mean way, but she found it a tad silly. How could anyone even think about sleeping their life away?

"It is totally necessary, especially if you want to get back to your slumber anytime soon. I'm just going to keep bothering you about it until you give in, ya know," With this said, Kianga almost had an outburst of chuckles. This was great. Probably some of the best fun she's had and they haven't even gone on a walk yet. All of this was in hopes of gaining a new friend and shining some good on this stranger's life. Which reminded her... they're strangers yet.

"Oh, I almost forgot! My name is Kianga," she told her with a grin.

Are you kidding me? This was pure torture to her. The last thing she wanted to do today was get any kind of exercise, but she also didn't want to be badgered all day long about how she has to get off her bottom. She decided to go with what Kianga was saying. Although she didn't want to admit it, she was right... and she had cooked up a sly plan. And you know... it worked.

"Alright, alright..." she sighed.

She took in the jackal's name and repeated it in her head. Not like the name would be any use to her anyways. Usha didn't quite plan on becoming her friend, but if it happened, it happened. Figuring Kianga would want her name as well, she told it to her before she ended up asking for it.

"I'm Usha."

"Alright, Usha. It's nice to know your name now." Once Kianga sees a face, she likes to know their name. Now she just had to figure out where to walk to, but that shouldn't be too hard. Kianga traveled around all the time. She suspected that Usha would be unfamiliar with most places anyways, since she didn't exactly get out there and explore much. Kianga had many options!

"So are you ready to get going?"

Usha didn't really think that her name was anything special and honestly, she kind of liked Kianga's name more than her own. That was something that was unimportant, though.

"I'm as ready as I'll ever be." This statement was so true. Usha was never really that ready to get up and go somewhere, but she was forced to today; which wasn't exactly a bad thing.

She waited for the golden jackal to lead the way. Usha didn't know where Kianga wanted to take her, plus she was kind of directionally retarded. It was another reason why she never ventured out. She always got lost. Good thing she wasn't the leader today.

Kianga didn't really feel like walking to someplace that special. Maybe she'd just take her around to see what everyone else was up to. Wishing Usha knew what she was missing out on, she started off with the wild dog following.

"Okay!" she beamed.

Hopefully this was a start of a couple new things.
