Self-rp between Niesha (Goddess of Modesty) and Velius.
The days just flew right by. They were so blurred together since Niesha was on cloud nine. Things had been going great for the little goddess, especially since she had someone by her side now. Airion was definitely a blessing to her, and she was so grateful to have someone in her life. Family was extremely important to the goddess and thus, she cherished it above all else. That’s who she was, that’s how she was raised and nothing would ever change that. She had left God’s Haven to spend some time with her mother and brother and aunt. She missed them dearly and wanted to keep them up to date on everything that’d been going on in her life. As such, she wanted to make sure her mother approved of Airion. She’d be so upset should her mother not approve.
Her blue eyes scanned the grassy green plains before her. It was a sight for sore eyes and she missed it. The feeling of the grass tickle between her pads. The gentle, warm breeze on her face. No, there wasn’t anything like this in God’s Haven. This was the treat of the mortal world.
A certain white and green male was resting underneath the shade of a tree during this hot part of the day. Velius panted slightly as he shook his head. It was just too hot to do much of anything at the moment and he was not inclined to do otherwise. So therefore, he’d wait right here until the sun finished its peak and headed down towards the horizon when the heat cooled off a bit and made it more comfortable to move about.
After some time of wandering around the plains, the trees started to grow more frequently as it provided more shade from the sun. Not that she minded it in the least, it was just a stark difference from God’s Haven that she relished it all. While she stayed alert, she never once put on an illusion spell. She could not hide her true nature from the mortals, and therefore looked to same to everyone. She had yet to run into danger, for she was not of that nature to do so anyway.
Her blue eyes scanned the area, not seeing anyone out in front of her at the moment. Perhaps that’ll change, at least she hoped so.
Half asleep from the heat of the sun, the male’s eyes were half closed. He would had dozed off to sleep had he not spotted something very peculiar in the distance. The sun does produce mirages, and perhaps this was so. It just couldn’t be true, could it? He blinked his eyes a couple of times but to no avail.
The figure was still there off in the distance. A small grey lioness with horns on her head. Perhaps they were just decorations from a kill? He had seen that before. He nodded his head in conclusion, that was it. It had to be, what other explanation could there be? He reasoned with himself quietly. He knew very little on the ideas of immortals, having no prior experience with them.
With the gentle breeze on her face, it didn’t take very long for Niesha to pick up the faint scent of another. Her eyebrows furrowed together slightly as she looked around. Where was the source of the scent? After some time, and because of the male blending in with the green of the scenery, she spotted him. With a gentle smile placed on her features, the last thing she wanted was to be invading someone’s territory or come across in a negative manner. That is just not her. Her face lit up slightly as a blush spread across her cheeks as she called out, “Hello!”
The voice all but shattered his illusion that it was a mirage. If this was a mirage, it couldn’t talk to him! As the female headed in his direction he couldn’t help but widen his eyes in surprise. Those horns were definitely attached to her head. What was she? Was he in a dream? Surely no regular lion had horns coming from their head! Not wanting to appear rude and inconsiderate, he returned her greetings with his own, “Hello!”
As the male replied to her, Niesha got the courage to move closer. He appeared friendly enough and that was enough of a reason for her to make her way over. Once she was close enough that she felt comfortable, she spoke, “I hope I’m not intruding on you…please let me know otherwise! I was just in the area to see my mom and hadn’t seen anyone in quite some time. You’re the first,” She paused briefly as her ears lowered slightly, “I’m Niesha.”
After her words, he shook his head. He replied, “Oh no, please don’t worry. I’m just a rogue wandering and needed a break from the blazing sun. Feel free to join me if you wish.” He motioned for her to come if she so desired. “It’s nice to meet you, Niesha. I am Velius.” He couldn’t help but to stare at her horns. He just couldn’t figure them out at all. And the quest was just blurted out without any reservations, “Are those horns real? How can that be?”
It was a question she got a lot and just smiled sweetly at him, “That’s because I’m not a normal lion, Velius. I am a goddess. The Goddess of Modesty, to be exactly.” She replied with a slight blush on her cheeks. “I get that a lot with mortals, and please don’t worry I am not offended at all.”
He let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding when the female replied. A goddess? Now this was something new. Something he’s never encountered before. “I’ve never ran into a goddess before. This is definitely my first time. Had it not been for the horns, I would have mistaken you for one of us.” He nodded, “What exactly do gods do?” He was curious now.
She paused briefly, “I am the oddball of my family, all my siblings and parents have wings by I don’t.” She flicked her tail slightly as she thought about it, “I guess it all depends on the domain that the god holds, to be honest. There is a god for just about everything you can think of, and they might be able to help sway stuff towards favoring their domain.” She nodded.
This was very interesting, he surmised. “Feel free to stay here as long as you like. I have so many more questions I’d love to ask you! If you don’t mind?” He hoped not, he wanted to learn as much as he could from her.
She came over to rest underneath the shade of the tree as she turned to look at him once more, “Of course. I’ll try to answer as much as I can…there are many things I don’t know though. So I’ll let you know.” Her tail flicked slightly as she replied.
And the pair stayed there under the tree for a good part of the day while they talked and conversed about many topics that related to the immortals.
