History of Magic is the study of magical history.
Cuthbert Binns' (played by KimCare until futhur notice)lessons are depicted as some of the most boring at Hogwarts. They are only lectures, given without pause, about significant events in wizarding history.
Topics have included goblin rebellions, giant wars, and the origins of wizarding secrecy. This is the only class at Hogwarts that is taught by a ghost, as the professor simply continued with his classes, despite dying.

Eliza slides into an empty seat and looks around.
Most of the students look less than thirilled to be there which confused her. What would be so *off* about the posibilities of such a subject so early in the morning?
Just as the bell rings the ghostly form of the professor appears.
IN THE BEGINNING…SOME EXPERTS BELIEVE IT ALL BEGAN WITH STONEHENGE OR PERHAPS THE BIG BANG THEORY WITH THE DINOSAURS….
Speaking as if he'd never stopped - which judging from the looks of her already tired classmates, might not be too hard from the truth!
Oh well...Eliza thinks. I shall have to wait to see if this is one class that dictates weither just showing up is worth the credit or if he grades tests as well...

James nodded off as Professor Binns began to speak. He could copy Moony's notes later. At least he could get some more sleep.

SO SOME WOULD WONDER WEATHER IT WAS CUNNING OR MAGIC WHICH CAUSED THE EXTINCTION OF THE DINOSAURS…BUT AS FEW ARE SEEN TODAY YET ANOTHER SERIES OF FACTORS MUST BE CONSIDERED TO THE EQUATION -
Eliza sighs.
Tuning off the monotone lecture, she begins to daydream about Snape. It was wrong perhaps to think about anothers friend - did the other mean boyfriend?
She wasn't sure.
Still there was no harm in being friendly if she were to accidently run into him somewhere. But where on Hogwarts Where could she go?
Meanwhile Eliza took notes on a few things she'd need later - to make herself and others feel more *used* to the idea of having her around!

Sirius walked into class late so he creped in and took a seat behind James. He found the current lecture kind of interesting he always thought dinosaurs were interesting creatures so he took out a piece of parchment and a quill but with in a minute he drifted off to sleep with a glazed expression over his eyes.
