Fortunately, there is a section that does exactly what you've described! We call it the SHIELD files, and they are freaking awesome! Unfortunately, they are also freaking incomplete. Like... Sapphire and I have been trying to get them done for over a year, and they're still under construction. But... erm... when they're done, they WILL blow your mind! I guarantee it! mrgreen
If you have any questions concerning a specific character, I can probably help you out; I've been here for most of it. 3nodding

Well then, lemme press my luck, as I await the completion of the SHIELD files with bated breath and quivering, healthily circulating flesh.
If I made a character that was, "beyond" Marvel or DC, and made him in the 'Made-Up' section, would he be rejected?

I'm really not sure what you mean by 'beyond,' actually; made up characters are fine, but... ? neutral

Like, from a third comic company, OR, a not-so-shameless ripoff of some other character. (A certain vampire private eye with a soul comes to mind...)
Don't get me wrong, I'm interested in some standard characters in case the answer is no. wink

We currently have Hit Girl hanging out in Arkham Asylum, Rorschach... you know, I don't actually know where he is... um, and Scorpion from Mortal Combat was running around, too. Go for it.
You can have more than one character, as well, so the standard characters are still an option if you want them.

Just please, please make a profile for them. People get headaches when others don't make profiles. xp
As for the story thing, I'm working on a Guild newspaper little by little. It'll probably be out before the SHIELD files are.
They basically tell about major things that happen every month. They'll be a quick thing for people to look at and get an idea of what plot things have happened. (I was making them with those who have been gone for months to look at and get caught up. NYC and Gotham are giving me a hard time though)
They'll be up piece by piece.
So, yes. The SHIELD files will be way awesomer than the newspaper.

If you really want to play a character asap, you're allowed to cheat provided you DO fill out the profile later on.
Like how I did Spider-woman.
Just make a thread with the character's name / what universe.
Then on the first post just put the character's name again, 'played by: (name), and a picture if you'd like. Then state something like 'profile coming soon.'
Then people can see that the character IS called for, but it gives you time to fill it out.
