It's easy to see where people are from in the Location thread we have. It doesn't take that long to read down the list. On top of that there's aren't many people from the other countries of the UK (Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland) so the threads would be mostly dead. A waste of space almost.
With the segregation comment - It wouldn't cause anything major but it would put people off going into a thread if the people in it were from the same place and talking about things from that area. It would hinder friendship making and people would feel left out.
