The Healing Kidō Archive Fourth Division, The Seireitei, Soul Society
The Chiyudō (lit. "A way of healing") is the main arsenal of the Fourth Division. It is a branch of Kidō that neither defends or attacks targets; it simply heals a target's condition depending on the number of the Kidō used, similar to Hadō and Bakudō. Chiyudō can only be learned by members of the Fourth Division and in some rare cases, members of the Fifth Division. Only the current division captain, Kei Aoi, is the one who can give the go-signal for non-Fourth Division members to acquire training.
Rules and Regulations Fourth Division Guidelines - For Fourth Division members, 5th Seat and below can learn up to Chiyudō #16 with training to a registered Chiyudō trainer. It is implied that no new member of the Fourth Division can learn a Chiyudō automatically just for joining; every Chiyudō must be worked out upon in order to use them in the future. - For non-Fourth Division members, you will have to discuss about your application at the current Fourth Division captain.

The Kidō Archive Chiyudō #1: Yawarakai Seppun (柔らかい接吻, Soft Kiss)
Description: The most basic of healing craft, it is used into the skin. The newer version has replaced the lips with the tips of finger of the medic. This is used to remove small or moderately sized bruises from the skin. The original form was literally practiced with a kiss, the user pressing their lips to the patient's bruise and channeling their reiatsu through the mouth and the fingers. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #5: Kire no Kizu (切れの傷, Slice Wound or Cut Wound)
Description: This Kidō is used to heal cuts to the flesh, it does nothing to cure internal wounds. Kire no Kizu can be used as a type of bandage to keep a patient from bleeding out before higher Chiyudō are used to cure the internal cuts and bleeding. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #7: Ondochousei (温度調整, Temperature Regulation)
Description: This technique can be used to bring up or down a body’s temperature over a long period of time. If a medic is well-versed in this Chiyudō, he or she can perform it faster without worrying about putting their patient going into shock from the sudden change. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #12: Shoushaku (焼灼, Cauterization)
Description: Used in place of Kire no Kizu, Shoushaku is a painful way to close wounds and seal off blood vessels, but guarantees the absence of infection because all bacteria and other contaminates are burned away. But as many medics have learned through experience, Shoushaku can be used as an offensive spell. To cauterize, the spell forms a layer of superheated reiatsu over the user’s hand(s). With enough practice, a medic needing to defend themselves can mix Hakuda with Shoushaku to produce hits that cause second degree burns or worse. Incantation: “Turbulent flow of life, straiten now! Burning poplar, engulf this wound!” (生命の乱流流れは、今困窮する! 非常に熱いポプラは、この傷を巻き込む!)
Chiyudō #17: Version 1 - Natsu no Megami (夏の女神, Summer Goddess)
Description: Creates a flow of reiatsu that first soothes a frostbitten area before healing the damaged skin. Unless a medic is extremely proficient at this particular Chiyudō, the patient's skin will remain numb for a few hours to a few days. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #17: Version 2 - Fuyu no Megami (冬の女神, Winter Goddess)
Description: Creates a flow of reiatsu that first soothes a burn before healing the damaged skin. Unless a medic is extremely proficient at this particular Chiyudō, the patients skin once healed with be red and tender for a few hours to a few days. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #23: Kakusei (覚醒, Awaken)
Description: A shock is sent directly through the heart and brain of the patient with a small, controlled burst of reiatsu. Used to rouse a patient from sleep, unconsciousness, shock and even a coma, Kakusei is more versatile and effective than its numbering implies. Yet, only skilled healers are able to break a coma. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #27: Chintsuuzai (鎮痛剤, Painkiller)
Description: It can be a serious issue on the battlefield, especially when a treatment is going to take a few minutes. It is not good when a patient is thrashing about, and if the medic is not strong enough to hold him or her down. This Chiyudō channels the user’s reiatsu through the inflamed area(s), temporarily turning off nerve receptors. The negative to this is that the treated area becomes numbed. Meaning, the patient won't be able to move or feel the treated area for a designated amount of time. The failing of this Chiyudō can cause a full-body paralysis. Unless the medic who performs the Chiyudō is highly skilled, he could accidentally shut down the nerves controlling heart, lung and brain functions. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #30: Shindan (診断, Diagnosis)
Description: This Chiyudō sends a probing pulse of reiatsu through the patient's body as a diagnostic device to find areas of inflammation and sickness. Not normally used for pathogenic illness, Shindan usually seeks out poisons within the body. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #33: Myouyaku ( 妙薬, Miracle Cure)
Description: This Chiyudō normally follows the use of Shindan. The user’s reiatsu soaks into the areas affected by the poison, and generates both heat and powerful enzymes that help the body attack and dissolve the foreign contaminate. Afterwards, the enzymes become harmless and are filtered naturally by the body. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #45: Hone no Shuuzen (骨の修繕, Bone Mending)
Description: For this Chiyudō, the user’s reiatsu sinks through the skin and muscles, directly wrapping around a fractured or broken bone. Rebuilding calcium deposits and essential marrow, it takes time even for experienced medics to finish. It can also cause immense pain to the patient if the medic performing Hone no Shuuzen is not skilled. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #48: Fuka (付加, Attach)
Description: Used to reattach limbs that have been separated from a patient for a short period of time, the sooner the Chiyudō is performed the more mobility and normal function the patient's missing part will retain. Fuka can be used to reattach small parts like a tooth or a finger and large extremities like an arm or a leg. The Chiyudō works by reattaching veins, nerves, muscles, tendons and bones with a tiny layer of binding-like reiatsu. Because of the complexity of attaching an arm or leg, the medic using Fuka will take an extended amount of time and energy to heal the injury. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #72: Geneisousa (幻影操作, Phantom Operation)
Description: Reiatsu soaks into the body and phases through the skin. It is coined, "Phantom operation", by those who use it as it allows one to bypass the layer of skin, blood, and sometimes even muscle, to get to the damaged area. This technique requires sound background knowledge and concentration, to mend tissue and blood vessels that would be impossible to get to in any other way. Incantation: Unknown
Chiyudō #94: Kaifuku wo Kanryou (回復を完了, Complete Recovery)
Description: One of the most difficult of Chiyudō, it deals with the spinal cord and nervous system. After a long and grueling session where the medic infuses the patient with their reiatsu, new nerve cells are created and the patient can be healed from most any type of paralysis. Of course, this Chiyudō can be selective and even be followed by Fuku if the reattachment of a limb isn’t made quickly enough to keep the limbs mobility. Only extremely knowledgeable medics with extensive backgrounds in physiology and reiatsu control should ever attempt this Chiyudō. Incantation: Unknown
