 *The time-nrgy portal under control of MK split open within the Solaris loading bay, gently depositing MK, Nalini, and their daughter into the completely sanitized chamber before closing*We'll have to walk the rest of it from here, but it's not far. *He looked to a nearby wall-map and started to head down the first corridor on the left*

*He picked up the pace with his daughter in his arms and Nalini not far behind. Turns right, and left, and right again as he made their way through the tight corridors of the mysterious facility. Down the end of the next hall was a faint blue glow and numerous warning signs along the way*~LGHTMK

*The signs they were passing were clearer and clearer now, clearly marking the area as biohazardous and radioactive. The captain came to a stop at a bold security door, a blast door that was 3 feet thick, 8 feet tall, and a good 6 feet wide. He pulled out his access card and swiped it through a panel beside the door, submitted to a quick eye-scan at a terminal just above it, and the door started lurching open. A strobing yellow warning light was going off now above the door, and a low tone was pulsating along with it*It may not be safe for us inside here. *They entered into a narrow, dimly lit hall which passed through an airlock and then into a much larger room. Several lights turned themselves on when the trio had entered, though the light was hardly needed with what was on the opposing side of the room. In a twist of varying machines and odd looking pieces of equipment, the raw time stream flowed through an area of the room. MK swallowed hard and approached the stream very cautiously*I've been working on some... unnatural science, here. ~LGHTMK

*He lifted up a leg and kicked a large red lever. There was a small explosion of light from the stream, and it went from blue to red, a part of it now flowing in the opposing direction. He walked up beside it and, while holding Zaryn as tightly to him as he could, stepped into it. The stream struck him with great force, his very soul becoming visible just outside his body, clinging dearly to the both of them. He stood his ground through, and the damage that had been done to Zaryn started to reverse*~LGHTMK

Nalini tried to watch, her eyes blurring with tears again as the damage started to be undone. She bit down on her thumb, barely breathing.

*There was a faint murmur steadily growing louder; the very sound of Zaryn's voice. It wasn't coming from her body though, he soul was coming backward through the stream towards them. MK's footing slipped and he struggled to keep standing. Should he collapse his own soul would leave him.*~LGHTMK

Nalini's heart lifted at the sound of her daughter's voice.
She was alive! Everything was going to be fine, she thought, relief flooding through her.

*Bracing for another impact, MK caught the soul of Zaryn in her own body, the combined powers of the timestream and their LGHT healing her wounds and causing her heart to beat once more. The catch caused him to fall backward out of the stream, still holding her in his arms. Just being able to reach it, he kicked the lever again and the machine shut down, the timestream vanishing from the room. As MK lay there to recover from the trauma he had just experienced, Zaryn opened her eyes*~LGHTMK

 'Mrrr...' the girl mumbled, disorientated. Where was she? She felt so confused, and looked over, to see her mother. 'Mum!'
Zaryn leapt up and cuddled Nalini, who had begun sobbing again, and turned around, pouncing on MK when she saw him. 'Daddy!'
