Shaila found herself wondering away from her cozy den. She was trying to break out farther each day. Though, it wasn't easy for her. She always felt an uneasiness the father she got. Though, today, she was doing good. She got pretty far before having an urge to go back. Her timid personality always seemed to come up on her when area's tended to be most silent. Her ears were down and her tail slightly between her legs as she walked, still not the way her den was.
She really wished someone else was out here. At least to ease her anxiety. Even if she felt nervous around another, at least it was more comforting then being alone. Alone out here where there are bigger things then her that could eat her. Her heart started to pound now, she was starting to slowly panic. With that, she stopped and popped her head up as high as it could go. Ears shot up, listening to for any sound possible. Though, she was never good at this. She didn't know what exactly to listen for.

Raimi had spent last night in a makeshift home he found, judging by the smells, abandoned sometime ago by a family of raccoons. Raimi flinched as a stray sunbeam hit his now semi-opened eyes. He let out a quiet huff of discomfort before settling somewhat. Now awake, he peer around him. His ears twitching this way and that, picking up almost every sound near him.
Suddenly, his nose picked up a foreign smell. Taking a deeper breath, his silver nose took in what was the sent of female dog. A lone female dog. Curious and a bit worried for the poor thing. Raimi rose on all fours and made his way silently towards unknown dog.
Peeking through the brush Raimi spotted her, silver coated with a black downturned tail, and interesting little patterns on her legs. And what fine legs they were! Shaking his head at the direction in where his thoughts were going, he decided to distract himself by coming out to greet her.
" Hello there love." Raimi said in a non-threatening voice followed by sitting down in a non-threatening position. " Are you lost? "

He had startled her. She jumped a bit higher then she had expected herself to. Her heart almost popped out of her chest it seemed. She looked around wildly before she spotted the black and white male. She felt a little relieved it wasn't something else, but another wild dog. Thank god! "N-no" She said after a good long while of silence. Or at least to her it seemed it was for a while. Her ears went down, though her tail relaxed a bit.
"I d-don't think ss-so." She knew which way she had come, though she wasn't sure exactly how far. She wanted to turn back, but she was now frozen to the spot. Completely frozen. Her light blue eyes fixed on the other. He seemed nice enough, she shouldn't be scared of him. At first the way she spoke might seem as if she was completely scared, but he'd soon notice that's how she normally talked. Though, she was scared. But not as much now she wasn't alone.

Raimi widened his eyes in startlement as he watched the unknown female jump about a foot from the ground. Raimi tilted his head in silence that lasted only a few minutes. Few minutes later he listened to her speak, untensing his muscles and relaxing his body, he hoped that would ease the female into feeling safe. After all, what would it benefit him to scare a defenseless female? What would his father think or mother for that matter if they were still alive. " Well, that's good then. Its not safe for a female to travel alone. My names Raimi, pleasure to meet you." He paused and saw the poor thing was frozen wheither in fear or just uncertainty he didn't know. " What is your name? I have never seen you around here before." Flicking his tail in a friendly waggle, he waited for the responce.

Yeah, he hadn't seen her before. And she'd never seen him. She didn't move for a good few moments, that seemed to last forever. Her tail still tucked between her legs as she watched him. Her ears still straight up, trying to pick up every sound she can muster from him. Of course, she eased a little. He seemed nice enough. If he was gonna attack her, she figured he would have already. Though, she still was slightly tense. She nodded in his response, but made no motion to contribute to them. Only until he asked her name. "Shhaila.." She turned her eyes away from him.
She must sound like an idiot the way she talked. She couldn't help it though. She tried hard not to sound like that, but when she was scared, it couldn't be helped. She felt ashamed of it. "I d-d-don't live arrrround here." Her voice was quiet, almost too quiet.

Raimi's ears swiveled around trying to pick up Shalia's words. " It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance Miss Shalia. " Raimi strained a little bit to hear her final words as there were spoken softly and once he did he replied, " Ah, I see. I am semi-new to this place as well. I found it by accident to be honest. " Not at all effected or judging her stuttering.
Clearing his throat in embarassment he told her with a blush on his cheeks his tale hoping to calming her fear of him. " I kind of tripped down the hill and landed near this abandoned hidden cave. I have yet to go exploring my current homeland to the fullest." Pausing he internally debated on wheither or not to ask Shalia to come with him, not wanting to be too forward. Finally, he decided to just go for it. The worst that could happen was rejection. " Shalia, would you be interested in coming on a walk with me? The weather is perfect for a walk and I have yet to eat or bathe. "

She didn't find his little tumble to be too funny. She had often tripped over things, and knew exactly how he felt. It wasn't a fun thing. Especially when you happened to do it in front of others. Though, he had some guts telling her about his little fall. Most would break down into a laugh by the time he was done. All she could do was look at him with sympathetic eyes.
She longed to say something more then what her eyes were already saying. Though, nothing came out of her mouth. She sat there for a moment listening to him. He gave a good first impression, she thought. Though, she was still eerie of him. He asked her something, she didn't think he would. She just kinda stared at him for a moment. The last time someone asked her to go with them, they never actually came to get her. "R-r-right now?" She asked him almost stunned. Not that he had asked that question, but that he asked her to go now. Or that's what she was getting at this.
"Y-you won't l-l-leave me, r-r-right?" She asked him as she moved her eyes from either side of her to scan for anything. Anything that would keep her eyes from meeting his gaze. She wanted to believe so much that someone could be kind and really mean it. Though, her trusting others was growing thin. She wanted to trust him, she really did. Though she trusted the last male... And that got her no where. She looked back at him with eyes that told a sad story, even if one couldn't really read the details to it.

Raimi beyond caring what others thought shared his imperfections with others sometimes. No one was perfect after all, everyone has flaws here and there. Raimi looked at Shalia in bewilderment and said softly. " Of course I wouldn't leave you love. I did ask you to join me on my walk but if you are not comfortable being around me thats okay too. " He smiled and waggled his tail slowly to show that he meant no harm or abandoment. Taking in her sadden expression and her words, Raimi sensed a great hurt had befallen on her at one time in her life that seemed to effect her current behaviour today. Just thinking about that brought a frown to his face, some creatures could be so cruel. " We could just take a quick walk or we could stay and chat. I will leave that decision to you, no pressure I am up for anything. " Raimi thought that leaving the decision to Shalia would make her feel more secure with him.

She wanted to trust him. So, she was going to. She was told to take risks, even if she didn't want to. She looked at him and shook his head. "N-no.." She started to say. "We S-s-should go for t-that walk." She nodded. The one he offered to her first, she'd do it because that was what she figured would be good. If he left her, she'd easily find her way home... Right? She didn't want to put more negative thoughts in her head. she tried to smile at him, but it came as a half smile. "No h-harm done in a w-walk" She nodded again. More trying to convince herself rather then the male.

Raimi expected rejection but was delighted when Shaila accepted his offer for a stroll. " Indeed, no harm at all love! When I first came here, I noticed some lovely flowers and eatable plants near a water hole. Now I know what you are thinking, canine's eating plantlife? Strange no? BUT! It looked delicious and worth checking out!" Raimi gestured with his paw outward from his body, " Ladies first." He watched as Shaila seem to stare at him waying her oppositions before she finally began to move. Walking beside her, not to close incase she wanted her space, Raimi began to talk of things he'd like to do with his new place. Making it more 'homey' and permanent. " Ah here we are!" Raimi gestured to the brightly colored and slightly large oval fruit located at the bottom of a willow tree.

She watched him carefully in the corner of her eyes. Yes, she agreed to go with him, but she didn't trust him completely. She didn't want to be abandoned again by someone who had potential of being her friend. She let him do most the talking, the less she did, the less she had to worry about the way she talked scaring him away. Her soft voice made it hard to hear anyways.
She nodded to him, and as soon as they had began walking, it seemed they were already there. Had she really been paying more attention to him then her surroundings? She stopped and looked around the place, it sure was beautiful, she decided. Though her eyes moved back to him. Always back to him. "It's l-lovely." She said quietly. There wasn't really much more she could say.
She couldn't say that eating plants was strange, now she thought of it. She had done it many times when her belly wasn't feeling good. As well as when she couldn't find something else to eat, she'd munch on whatever life plant there was around. Of course, it never really was the best idea, but it did fine when there was nothing else.

Always the gentlemen, Raimi tore the fruit from the earth and nudged it towards Shaila using his nose. Once that was accomplished, he moved to gather one for himself to feast upon. While bending down he spoke, " I like to call this a star fruit as it reminds me of the heavens above." It took sometime to get the second fruit to get uprooted, with a growl and fierce tug it finally came out. A little bit of dirt went flying along with the fruit.
Chuckling Raimi noted that some had landed on Shaila's cheek. " Sorry about that love. " Raimi, not thinking twice, used his tongue to wipe away the dirt that had smeared across her face. Clearing his throat he stretched out his body and lay on the ground enjoying his company, the cool breeze, and the warm summer's sun on his fur.

She never tried eating a fruit before. She looked at him carefully before she smelled the thing. Star fruit... She repeated in her head. Strange. Well, it looked like if you cut it just right it'd be in the shape of stars. Like ones she seen on some other creatures. "T-thanks." She said as she watched him once again.
As a bit of something landed on her cheek, it happened all too fast. He reached over and licked her. She just kinda sat there... staring at him. If she could blush threw her four, she would be bright red. She quickly looked away from him. A small nervous smile upon her face. She'd never had a male do that before. It was odd, a tingle of strange feelings flowed threw her.
She totally forgot about the fruit he was trying to offer her. It didn't smell that great to her anyways though. She didn't know what to say now. She felt embarrassed and she didn't know why. There was no real reason for it. "T-thank you, a-again." She said finally. Perhaps it was the only answer she could come up with for the moment. Even if it did seem a little stupid.

Raimi, oblivious to the frozen expression on Shalia's face, bent down to naw on the starfruit inorder to get to the sweet center. Eating contently, he looked over to see if Shalia had eaten yet. Upon looking, he realized that Shalia had yet to even do anything accept to say thanks. " You are welcome, it really wasn't all that hard to get to be honest. You should try some, the smell isn't all that great but its the inside that is delicious. Plus you don't want it to get rotten, here I will open it up for you." Raimi nodded towards said fruit on the ground before he leaned over, not realizing how close he was until he looked up at Shalia.
Her eyes lined up with his and he paused there, taking in her baby blue almost white eyes. " You have the most interesting and beautiful eyes I have ever seen. The look like crystal or star-shine." Before he realized what he was doing, blame it on being caught in the moment, he kissed Shalia with his eyes closed. It felt heavenly, like he was floating and falling at the sametime. He didn't real think of the consequences at the time, to caught up in the moment, but sometimes you just have to go with the moment and not think about what might happen later on. No waiting on 'what-ifs'.

She didn't make any movement to stop him from helping her open her fruit, though he seemed to gotten distracted, cause now he was looking her straight in the eyes. She felt a very uncomfortable feeling rise up in her. Or perhaps it was more of the fact she was completely embarrassed with the words that followed his words. Her eyes? Beautiful? Well that was the first time anyone had ever spoken to her in such a way.
Then.... He licked her again. Or kissed her... It wasn't like a normal thing. She froze, and just kinda gazed at him. Amazed and shocked all at the same time. She felt her body become warmer then it had moments ago. Her heart was pounding like crazy. She was sure he could hear it. How couldn't anyone. It felt like her heart was going to jump out of her chest. She couldn't find words, not this time. She was lost in everything. Why?
She longed for someone, yet she wanted to reject everyone to where she never let them get close enough. Though, this male she decided to trust him just a slight big, and now look where she was. It was all too confusing, and embarrassing.
