 A gentle hum from a nearby insect awoke Yorath from his morning rest. He flicked his tail to swat at the bothersome insect near his ear and with a giant yawn he rose slowly from the ground. His sleepy-lidded eyes taking in his semi-quiet surroundings. Yorath stretched his body from tip to tail and made his way out of his current home; a cave. Raising his head towards the sun he took in natures beauty, sunlight landing on his silverish fur giving off small sparkles when the sun hit the somewhat angelic symbols that adorened his body.
With one more quick shake he made his way down to the crystal clear lake that was located just over the bush.

 Someone was already down there, a young leopardess napping in the warmth of the sunlight. Her golden body stretched out on her back over the branch of an old tree that grew near the cool waters. Pale paws rested against her belly, the long agile tail hanging limply down, tip twitching periodically. Something shimmered at her throat, a necklace, made of shimmery glass disks that caught the light with each breath she took.
At the sound of someone approaching she stirred, sleepy violet eyes opening, blinking in the bright sunlight. Finally focusing on the up-side-down pale grey shape to one side she blinked again. "Oh.. hello there." Her soft voice greeted with the same warmth as the sunlight that bathed them both.

Yorath so deep in thought and semi-sleepiness as he walked was startled by the quiet feminine voice that came from above. He looked up quickly tail straight and ears turned upward towards the unknown female. Yorath made his way closer to the lounging female. On closer inspection he noted the delicate coloring of yellow and how the blue resembled the clear blue sky. " Hello there. " He said with a caution and warmth. " To what do I owe this pleasure? I have not seen many of your kind, that is leopards, around these parts. My name is Yorath and yours?"

Unable to help herself, the young female giggled softly at his surprise, yet the sound was not cruel or mean, rather, it held a light, playful note and seemed to light her eyes as she smiled down at him, still upside down on her branch. "My apologies if I startled you." Letting herself slide forwards, the leopardess dropped to the ground neatly, slim body making the move look graceful and easy. Turning round to face the hansom male with a friendly smile, she dipped her head. "I'm Lakeisha, its a pleasure to meet you, Sir Yorath."
Tilting her head thoughtfully she smiled, the necklace at her chest glimmering. "I am passing through, I hope I've not disturbed you. I am very sorry if that is the case." Tilting her head she smiled apologetically, tail curling slowly behind her, kept low in a sign of difference to the lion.

Yorath let her voice and cute feminine laughter wash over him, peace filled him, a smile touched his face and eyes crinkling in silent embarassed laughter. He listened to her speak and move her small yet light muscular body before answering. He bowed deeply while saying, " No apologies necessary Lady Lakeisha and may I say, you have a very pretty name. Does your name hold a special meaning? " Suddenly a light bounced across his eyes distracting him but her words brought him out of his sparkle distracted mind. " Oh! No, you are not disturbing me. I was just headed here to bathe and eat my morning meal." Yorath watched Lakeisha's light up with her smile and returned one of his own. Straightening and sitting up Yorath said jokingly, " Care to join me on my morning adventure? Nothing like jumping into cold water to wake ones self up."

Returning his smile gently she chuckled lightly, ears pricking forwards in a friendly manner. "Just Lakeisha, or Isha will do... and thank you." Blushing faintly she dropped her gaze demurely, glancing up with a shy smile. "I believe it refers to the cool waters of the river..." Listening quietly as he explained his plan, she dipped her head in full understanding. "Ahh I am glad. I did not mean to take a spot currently being occupied. It was late when I arrived here." Tipping her head with a curious and pleased smile, she chuckled softly. "I think that would be most enjoyable." Her soft voice flowed into easy laughter at his words about the water. "Indeed it is. You are very brave to face that every day."

Yorath chuckled as well, " Hmm, well I prefer Lakeisha. It has a nice ring to it and you are most welcome." Listening and nodding when she described what her name meant. " Interesting and of course your name would be about water." Shakes his head at his own stupidity. " Your name does have 'lake' in it." Clearing his throat in embarassment at his babbling. Sometimes his words got a way with him when talking with females. " Oh, well this spot isn't reserved. It is free for all to use. I just like to come here and enjoy what nature has to offer, especially since this is one of the nicer areas."
" Ah yes," Yorath let out a laugh and then winked. " Shall we?" Using his paw to gesture in a gentlemanly way he bowed slightly and nodded his head towards the dirt path that lead towards the water.

Blushing softly, she smiled, dipping her head faintly at his words. "Thank you... you are most kind Yorath." Giggling at his comment about her name she lifted a shoulder in a graceful shrug. "It is only what my mother told me it meant, and I confess, I do enjoy the water on occasion. Perhaps more than I should have as a cub." Nodding as she pulled her violet gaze from the handsome lion in order to look around at the area she had found herself in, the leopardess smiled warmly. "I can see why you like it here. Its a beautiful spot. I should imagine it is quiet the relief on the hotter days."
Turning back to him the slender female smiled playfully. "Of course!" Giggling at his wink she danced forwards as he directed her ahead, her warm laughter spilling lightly onto the breeze as she trotted along the path, her steps almost dancing along as she glanced back over one ocean-coloured shoulder. Her smile full and playful, violet eyes sparkling with life.
Upon reaching the water she gave a little chirp of laughter, bounded the last few steps and dived into the shimmering water. Vanishing under before surfacing with a splash, laughing with a sharp gasp at the sudden cold. Turning back to look up at her new companion she grinned, water sluicing down her fur, turning it several shades darker.
"Ahh! Its cold!" Giggling she shook violently, sending a shimmering spray of droplets into the air.

Yorath gave a charming smile as he watched Lakeisha blush. Straightening he replied, " Ah I see, water can certainly be enjoyable on hot days. " His smile came back as he watched her dance and wiggle happily towards the lake. It was nice to see someone so high spirited and full of life sometimes.
Once they reached the water Yorath chuckled as he watched Lakeisha literally drove into the water. He flinched a little at splash of water that hit his face. " Oh, that is cold!" Yorath wiggled his bum playful before he too bounded for the water and with a less then graceful dive he too began to swim. Surfacing he shook his ebony mane and closed his eyes relaxed. Every once in a while a slight shimmer shown off his fur and a quiet, content purr filtered out. " So, where is your pride? Do you travel alone? It is not safe for one such as your beautiful self to be out and about alone.

Grinning playfully as he shied away from the splash she barely had time to brace herself before his leap sent a wave crashing over her. Giggling as she shook the water from her eyes she watched him surface and begin to float near her. Ducking down in the water she let the chill seep into her fur before sitting up and beginning to groom one fore paw, violet eyes raising to meet the male's own as he spoke.
"Pride?" Pausing her grooming she dropped her paw and swirled the water about a little with her toes thoughtfully. "I live alone... I have always done so. I wander wherever the wind takes me." Looking up at him she smiled lightly before the sudden shimmer of his fur caught her eye and she tilted her head, fascinated, watching it sparkle in the light.

Yorath floated along listening to Lakeisha talk before answering, " Ah, I am the same. I have no family or pride of my own or that I can recall. Sometimes it can get really lonely but in other times its nice to be by oneself." Smiling in amusement as he looked over at his companion to realize she was entranced by his fur, it happened sometimes. Clearing his throat and whistling happily he glided through the water for a few minutes before pausing, a mischievious twinkle in his eye. Swimming closer to Lakeisha, he lightly flick water at her before diving under and swimming away.
After enjoying a full day of swimming, eating midday meal, and banter with Lakeisha. Yorath felt it was time to move on to explore other lands. Lakeisha had been lovely company but the lure of the unknown seemed to be calling him. " I had a lovely time swimming with you this day Lakeisha! But I feel it is time for me to be moving on to other places. Until we meet again my Lady." Yorath bowed and made his way onward.

Nodding she watched him, still playing with the water as it rippled round them with their movements. "I always seem to run into someone before i can feel lonely." She chuckled in amusement, though her violet eyes were understanding. She had certainly felt that kind of emotion many a time, she just preferred not to think about it.
Blinking as she was suddenly sprayed with water drops, a light laugh spilled form her lips before she squirmed away, ears pressed back as she squeaked from the cold spray, and a moment later swiped her paw through the water to shower him with a wild splash as he resurfaced. Soaking the already fully wet male.
The day passed quickly as they swam and played, reverting to cubs in their follys before dragging their soaked bodies out the water and flopping down on the bank to dry in the sun. Once warm and dry once again the pair had hunted together, enjoying the day as well as the prey they had chased. It had taken several failed hunts before they caught something for them both but Lakeisha was having too much fun to worry, enjoying the opportunity to chat and learn from the lion, to hear of his adventures and the places she had yet to visit. As they settled down to their meal, she badgered him with constant questions, ever polite but fiercely curious. Proving to be a female who could clearly hold her own in a conversation as she matched him story for story, though couldn't help but listen avidly when he described unusual sights or indulged her questions about stories and lore he had over heard in far off places.
When eventually the day began to wind down and the meat had been picked clean, Lake stood with the lion, full of good food and company. Knowing their time together was over she joined him as he set off, simply walking in companionable silence until they reached the place their paths separated. With a final and warm goodbye she turned and started off on her own, resuming the journey that had been so briefly, but pleasantly interrupted. Her heart light and her spirits high, she hummed a little tune, pleased to have met one to gallant and polite and knowing she would never forget the day they had spent together.
