Devra had spent the entire morning cooped up, doing what seemed like an endless round of chores. Her patience was slowly wearing thin, and when she was called down to the shore, she went with some relief. Finally. Free to be where she wanted, safely out under an open sky, Devra's mood slowly shifted. A sunny smile replaced the tight, sullen expression, and she thrust both hands into the ocean.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught sight of an interesting shape... perhaps something to add to her little collection, hmm? Unfortunately, upon closer inspection, it seemed that she'd discovered a piece of kelp. ... Ah well. There would be more time to look for sea shells later. For now, she scanned the area, trying to determine who she had been sent down to meet.

Or possibly what? Maybe today she would have the chance to work with dolphins! Still, even then, they didn't tend to be without a dolphineer among them, unless she found them by swimming out alone. She was somewhat familiar with this pod of dolphins, though it was--

Wait. Wait a minute. She'd asked for this meeting, hadn't she? That was why she'd been summoned down to the shore, and why she couldn't seem to remember who she was supposed to be meeting. She hadn't bothered to ask who might be giving her a private lesson, as excited as she had been by the mere prospect of having one. How embarrassing! Guiltily, she withdrew her hands from the water, and straightened, heading down to where she'd been told the lesson would take place.

"Um, hello? Apprentice Devra here for a lesson?"
