Here in Mesilici, all magical, mythical, and strange creatures are invited to stay. Whether you've been chased from and abandoned by your friends and family, or you simply have a taste for adventure, you are welcomed here to stay in the humongous castle of Mesilici.
The entrance to the kingdom: features a view of some of the shops run by local creatures. A farmer's market, a blacksmith, and a weapons master are among these. North side of the castle: During the winter and beginning of spring, the whole land of Mesilici is covered in snow and ice, making it a beautiful white world. Southern side of the castle: things are cast into darker shadows, due to the immense enchanted forest surrounding the back end of the kingdom. Though it appears somewhat sinister, there is no more danger here than there is anywhere else in Mesilici. Grand entrance hall: aligned on either side with a large marble staircase. The staircases lead to the second floor, where there are more stairs leading to the third, fourth, and attic floors. The towers have their own spiral staircases found on the fourth floor. Dining hall: found on the second floor. The kitchens are manned by a staff of five, and it is highly ill advised that anyone attempt to enter these kitchens without an expressly necessary reason. On the west side of the third floor: lesser ballroom is found. Here is where smaller parties are thrown, or used as a room for chatting and snacking during larger parties. Eastern wing of the third floor: larger ballroom rests. During the large parties thrown in this room, the edges are lined with small refreshment tables and small chairs to sit in when the guests' feet are beginning to tire. Meanwhile, outside the castle on the southern end, are the servants' quarters. Each have a small home to live in with their family. A large wooden door on the south end of the castle leads to the castle tavern, directly above the wine and meat cellars. On the fourth floor are the bedrooms. There are fifty-two, and each is furnished simply. But magically charmed. The moment the tenant enters the room, the room will become just what they want. On the attic floor are old boxes, tarp-covered portraits, and creaky furniture. Few ever explore this floor, but many wonder just what might be up there.
After years of disrepair and time, archaeologists discovered the ruins of the castle of Mesilici and began to restore it. Its deeds had been passed down for generations through the lineage of the prior residents of the castle, and is now owned by a headmaster. Mesilici operates as a school, hospital, and archaeological site.

Lunora sat at the bar in the tavern, smoking herbs in her little pipe, blowing red smoke into the vents in the ceiling. She wasn't there to drink. Just to grab some food and to smoke. She had annoyed the help with her herbal fumes' smell so she had to come down here. Lunora thought deeply about her life. She had no students. They all had gone to learn magic. Magic was the new fad apparently. She hadn't had a new student in months and she didn't see an end in sight. The bartender put a dart in front of her. She thanked him, picking it up and chucking it at a sign up sheet on the billboard next to the door. She nailed the sheet, it her own and completely blank. She just growled and looked to the bartender. "Food......" she growled some.
"Right away madam." he left to the kitchens. He knew what she meant when in this mood. She meant sweets. And lots of them.

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya, having finished her lesson for the day, wandered along the grounds, the somewhat damp grass pressing down in the shape of the bottom of her boots. A dragonfly passed by her head, and she watched it fly towards the forest, shrugging and continuing towards the southern end of the castle: past the tavern, towards the lake that was at the end of the grounds. When she got there, the little run-down row boat on the edge of the lake made her smile, as it usually did. The wooden dock creaked as she stepped onto it, and the water rippled from the weight of the dock. Really, it's amazing this thing has lasted so long; I'm sure it's almost a century old. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow collected his books, leaving the room he had converted into a classroom on the first floor. His study, conjoined with his bedroom through a secret doorway, was messy and dark, as usual. Holding the books out, they lazily flew to their place, and he sat down in a comfortable chair, relieved by the warmth of the fire as it sprang up on his command. "Her powers still don't want to reveal themselves," he said out loud to the old cat that came and rubbed the wizard's leg. Sighing, he looked out the window at the dimming light outside. The castle wasn't full of students anymore as the harvest season approached and the pupils went home to help their families. All that was left was the combat teachers and Anya, who had no obligation to return home. We can only hope that the amount of possible talents has not gone down, but is merely being contained by hard years and poor harvests.

Luke strolled the corridors, a stack of books under his arm. He was the textbook part of the combat training, his sister was the physical aspect. He soon knocked on Jethrow's door. "Jethrow? Are you in? If you're not too tired, I'd like to enjoy a cup of tea with you." he said through the door. Still calm in this time of trouble. He needed a cup of tea. For his nerves. Yes, for his nerves.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow heard the knock on his door, and he left his study, sealing the entrance again and opening the door with a smile. "Of course I'm in. Where else would I be?" he said in his raspy, joking tone, opening the door wider to allow Luke in. He flicked his wrist, and a kettle began to boil over the fire. Two chairs pulled themselves up beside the fire, and a small table opened up, some bread and butter appearing there, as well. Dinner was in only half an hour, and Jethrow intended on going, so he didn't want to spoil his appetite with proper tea snacks. The kettle whistled and lifted itself off the fire, pouring into two mugs that had appeared by each chair. "And where is your sister?" Jethrow inquired, moving at a relaxed rate towards the set-up.

Luke laughed some at Jethrow's first response. "Of course. How silly of me." he said in a joyful tone. He eased into one of the armchairs and sighed, putting the books in his lap. He took a mug of tea and sipped it as Jethrow asked about Lunora. "Where she always is. In her room, drowning her sour mood in those irritating sweets she loves." he sighed softly.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow nodded, frowning a little. It was true that most parents didn't see the need to have their children trained in combat; they could have that done at home. "Has she ever tried being social? It can be quite rewarding. You meet the most interesting of people in some of the strangest places," he said, smiling and remembering some of his own experience as he tried his own tea. As usual, the magic knew what it was doing. "Now, what have you been doing? I hope a bit more than studying; books only lead you so far in life."

Luke shook his head. "She hates people. Especially with her temper, it is hard for her to interact still. Mom's still weighing on her shoulders." he said softly, looking down into his tea. "And I have nothing much else to do except study. We have no students... It's starting to become an issue with our castle master. We might be cut from the employment. Which also means we will have to leave." he said, casting his eyes to the floor.
((Took over the castle owner just until we get one. Is that ok? ^^))

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Chuckling from amusement, the wizard conjured a knife and began to slice the bread, two plates appearing and a piece buttering itself before floating onto Jethrow's plate. "I have never know the master to kick a tenant out, no matter what the original terms of stay were." The man took another sip of tea and shrugged dismissively. "If I must, I shall speak to him; my opinion is at least valued." [OOC:]If you want, you can control all three. I don't think we're getting anymore characters anytime soon.... Just make a profile for him ^.^

Luke shook his head. "Don't scuff your reputation with us. If we must leave, then we will." he said solemnly. He was quite serious about this. He didn't want to leech off a rich man.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow sighed, taking a bite from the bread. "If you are that stubborn about leaving, then he shall certainly send you off." He shook his head, knowing that the master would never really throw the two out. The man who own the castle, though he never showed his face, was an easily angered man who would threaten peoples' lives before serving them extravagant feasts. His fascination with dabbling in the various magical arts aren't very reassuring, either. Who knows what he does in his attic room? As Jethrow finished his mug of tea, he glanced out the window. Dinner was approaching, and there was no guarantee that either Lunora or Anya would be there. The master had once commented on their absences to him, but neither of them were exactly controllable.

Luke looked to the window as well. "I guess I should go check on my sister. See if she's asleep yet." he said, getting up from his armchair, setting his tea aside. "Thank you for the tea. I will see myself out." with that he began to leave.

There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow nodded and Luke's mug and plate vanished. "Would you mind terribly checking by the border for Anya? I may not act it, but in the chilly air I feel my age," he said in a reflective voice. It was true; lately, he'd been feeling his joints stiffen and his face wrinkle more often than not. He knew Anya's favorite thinking places were along the border, anywhere really that had trees. It would be awfully hypocritical to not allow her to choose a "thinking place," so he had no reason to think of to discourage her wanderings. Other than that he couldn't chase her down. "I hope to see the two of you in the dining hall; half an hour."

Luke nodded and went to the border first. Might as well get Anya first. He knew Lunora would be most likely asleep so she was in no rush to see him. Once he got to the border, Luke looked around. "Anya! Anya! Dinner time! Jethrow is waiting for you! Where are you Anya?"

If everything were as it seemed, life would be a dream. Anya looked up, sighing and put the frog that sat on her ankle back on a lily pad. She pulled her boots back on, tying the laces and walking back towards the castle. "Right here," she called out, following Luke's voice and emerging from the forest again, pulling a twig out of her laces. There is much to learn in this world. To learn it, you must realize you know nothing. Jethrow had the rest of the food and such disappear, standing and sighing. The fire sputtered out and he left his room, walking slowly towards the stairs. It was two flights until he'd make it to the dining hall, and his old bones weren't what they used to be. His staff appeared in his hand and he started down the stairs. Soon enough, he was at the second floor and heading into the dining hall.
