Sphele walked hesitantly around a small water hole. She'd seen a lot of wild dogs about lately, and she got the sneaking feeling that she was in a pack's lands… However, none of them had borrowed her so far, so that was good… right? They weren't hostile, but none of them had welcomed her. She bent over to take a drink of water, keeping her eyes on the horizon. The normally bubbly dog was nervous and her tail was low and between her legs. Finished with her drink, her mind now turned to a meal… But if she was in a pack's lands, and she wasn't very comfortable going hunting without permission. Her tummy growled and her ears drooped a little. What was she going to do? She eyed the surface of the water and saw the glimmer of a fish.
Well not many dogs hunted, and they weren't that big. It wouldn't hurt anyone to eat a fish, right? She splashed in the water for a good few minutes, making quite the commotion, she was sure, but finally she caught a fish. The dog took it to the edge of the pool and set to eating it. It wasn't too small, but it wasn't too big for her to drag ashore. Mmmmm. And it was so tasty, too!
Twana had been tending to her pups and such when she overheard something rather odd. The splashing of water in the early evening, the pups were all with her, all 12 of them. She laughed in her softly then gazed beyond her den. The sun was still dropping itself lower and lower, she was up fairly earlier then she had thought, a morning dog? She pondered this quietly and moved away from her family in a fluid motion.
