This is a prvate RP between Dixie and Sya.
It involves a pregnant Renesme Carlie Cullen with Chandra and Io acting as midwifes.

Renesme was feeling slow and heavy lately. The kicking of her little ones was a constant comforting reminder that there was life inside her just waiting to come out. Yet part of her was scared. Ever since she had realised she was expecting she had been told horror stories of complications, miscarriages and still births. Her family and herd had been doing everything they could to support her and Rune but they where starting to drive her crazy. She wanted sometime alone, to just relax and be normal for five seconds instead of being treated like the most precious thing in the world.
Just at the moment she felt a kick firmly in her bladder, why did it always seem to be the bladder? Se smiled to herself and decided to rest by the side of the lake so that she would be able to watch the others play and swim in its cooling liquid. The moon was already starting to shine as the last of the sunlight left the world for the night. She loved both the day and the night but since she didn't stray far from the herd these days -more out not being able to than not willing- she had once again taken up her noctural routine.
Laying down on her side she glanced at her belly as yet another kick took place, this time the little hoof clearly visable through her flesh. Some found it wierd how they did that, especially since both she and Alice where pregnant together. Her mother by everyhing but genes had been so amused by the idea that they where both expecting that she had bet Renesme to guess how many children they where both having. From the sheer size of Alice, Renesme had guessed three which left her guessing two for herself. Alice however believed that Renesme would also have three.... and just to be safe Maion and Sengdroma had requested six little baskets be made. Alice's where all black and white witha splash of colour but for some reason they where keeping her own a secret from her. She was curious but had accepted it.
Another kick. Renesme smiled.

Chandra looked at her sister Io, "Are you sure you want to help?" She said asking for about the hundreth time. "Don't just say it because you know it will make me happy!" She pouted softy and watched her sister. Chandra had always admired Io and looked up to her -in many ways she was jealous of her, believing her to be prettier and moe skilled than herself. But this was one thing that Chandra was proud of, so much so she had recently decided it was what she wanted to do, and since the herd was ever growing she hoped she would be of use to them. Plus she was sure she could offer her skills to anyone who needed them if she was in the right place at the right time.
Chandra wanted to be a midwife. And both Renesme and Alice had volenteered to be her second and third patients, her first had been Zeda and Chandra was very happy to say that all three of her children where healthy and near grown now.
She walked over to her sister and nipped her mane softly as sign of affection. "You do you think will pop first anyways? Renesme or Alice? They are both looking pretty big, the same way Zeda did before she had hers."

Io looked over to her sister and laughed, "Chan, that's enough!" she shook her head. "I -want- to do this!" Io had learned many things from her mentor about the many different uses of herbs and plants for calming the mother during labor and uses to help ease the pain. "I'm excited to see the foals come, they're both getting so close now!" she said excitedly.
She laughed again and playfully jerked from her sister, "You know...I'm going to bet that it's Renesme." She bobbed her head quite confidently. "Alice is large, but her little ones don't seem to be quite as active yet...." She offered a broad grin, "I'll bet you two apples on Renesme!"
"Now," she turned to a more serious question, "You'll have to teach me what you know... I've not done this before." She had spent days gathering all the plants and herbs that she would need for her mixtures once the time came. She had wrapped them all carefully in the big leaves found on many of the plants in their area surrounding the lake. "I think I'm stocked and ready on my end,"

"Yay" Chandra chirpped happily as she giggled softly and circled Io. "...I wonder if me or you will have children one day?" In all honesty she was not really thinking that far ahead, currently she was more concern with WHO she was going to pick. Both Alistair and Sonnet had basically told her they where interested and now the choice was down to her. It was starting to annoy he actually.
"Two apples? Renesme!" she chirped softly and raised an eyebrow as she looked at her sister, "You're on! I wonder if there is anything I can give Alice to make her pop first." She giggled softly, knowing that her sister knew she would never do anything to risk the babies -even if she lost the bet.
Io's question took her by surpise, it wasn't something she really thought about she just -did. Or at least that was what happened last time. "Well, with Zeda.... it took a long time, Mum says most first time Mums take a long time." Chandra knew that Renesme was a first time Mum but she was unsure about Alice, she always actedas if Renesme was her daughter but they looked so different. "Zeda had been in the most pain during a contraction and then would get a rest between them. So I used my healing magic to try and relieve some of the pain and just give her a break. She said it helped and made her tummy feel tingly.
Chandra smiled and then titling her head curiously asked, "What else would you like to know?"

Renesme was enjoying watching but as the kicks seemed to get moe agressive she decided to venture into the cool water herself for some relief. As soon as she did she was able to enjoy the cooling waves of water as they crashed upon her belly. The babies seemed to settle a little so she started to wade in the water. Everyone kept telling her to build her muscels a little t help her -it as just a shame she didn't feel like she had the energy to do much lately.
Just then she felt a sudden tighting in her tummy, surprised by it se let out a little yelp of pain.

Io tilted her head and shrugged a bit. She had been with Dio quite some time now, but they had not really discussed starting a family. For now, they were happy just having time together. "I think I would like to.. One day..." she shot a stern look to her sister, "But not right now!" She laughed.
She offered a playful gasps at Chan's question, "You wouldn't dare..." she teased.
"Well.. I mean... I have herbs and mixtures for pain... and one to help her stay calm...But.. What do I DO"?
Her attention span to her sister was suddenly cut short when she heard a yelp from Renesme's direction.
"Renesme?!" she bolted from her sister in Ren's direction.

"Ha! You know you are so going to end up with like twenty babies running around you now... or something silly like that." She giggled and teased, before adding, "Well..... its very much just go with what happens...."
It was just as she finished that she too heard a cry that sounded like it had come from Renesme. Her cry echoed her sisters as she called, "Renesme!?" And ran beside her sister to where the believed the cry came from.
Renesme saw two familar figures coming towards her, and for a moment she wanted to lower herself into the water and just forget the rest of the world exsisted.... then the pain shot through her stomach again. She resisted crying out although she really wanted to, her face screwed up and she yelped.
As it faded she looked to her fellow herd women and smiled as sweetly as she could muster, "It ok, I'm ok.... nothing to worry about." She smiled, hoping that she didn't get another pain just yet. Pain meant she was likely either having a complication or labor was beginning... both where scarey thoughs right now.

Io splashed into the water to reach Renesme, not paying attention to the water that soaked her wings. "Are you okay, Ren?" her voice sounding calm, but a bit worried.
She looked back over her shoulder for Chan, this was Chan's territory, not hers. She would have to wait for Chan to decide if this was really it or not.

Chan followed Io into the water, splashing her sister and Renesme in the process. Her wings licked the surface of water and suddenly felt much heavier due to water retention. "Don't give me 'I'm ok'" she said as she looked at the other mare, "you wouldn't have screame if it was nothing.... are you getting contractions? How many?" Although Chandra had only actually done one delivery she had been researching it and talking to lots of mares who had had chidren or where expecting. She had found out a lot and believed she was more prepared this time -which was probably good since she had two pregnant mares to help with the aid of her sister.
Renesme shook her head and tried to smile, "Its nothing Chandra... Io tell her she is over reacting." The mares eyes where almost begging for the younger mares aid.

Io moved closer over to Renesme, finally stopping just short of her eyeing her cautiously for signs of distress. "Unfortunately I'm going to agree with Chan, Ren. You wouldn't have yelp for nothing I'm afraid."
She looked over to her sister, waiting on directions. "Do I need to gather my kit you think?" She had never delivered before so she didn't know how long it took or the signs that the babies were really coming.

Chandra smiled at the fact that her older sister agreed with her, "Two on one Renesme.... so, tell us. The truth this time." Although Chandra was worried about the mare she did her best to keep her eyes soft and friendly, the fact was that Renesme was in pain and pregnant -the two usually meant things where progressing pretty fast.
She looked to Io and spoke softly, "Depends...."
Renesme knew it was pointless lying anymore, it seemed she just needed to come to terms with the fact that as long as she was heavily pregnant there was going to be no rest for her for a while. "Ok..." she said with a slight pout, "I have felt two painful contractions. Or at least what I think are contractions." Afterall, she had never done this before and didn't exactly know what was happening she was just guessing from the information the other mares had told her. In truth, Renesme was scared.
Chandra instantly felt a little concerned, and now understood why the mare was currently in the water. Zeda had told her that it aided with the pain a little, and during her long labor they had moved Zeda in and out of the water to help her. "How far apart?" She asked, now more with her 'midwife' hat on.
Renesme looked to Io, still half begging her for help before she spoke, "They where quite far. From when you heard me scream to when you got here... I think." She tried to smile but at that moment yet another gripped mercilessly at her stomach. She yelped again despite her best efforts not to, she didn't want to make a 'fool' of herself, but that mere thought alone made her feel rather silly. Of all the people in the herd the two before her only wanted to help her through this. To make sure her children where happy and safe. That was all she wanted.

Io leaned over to Chan and whispered, "It didn't take us that long to get her her..."
Her head jerked up as Ren let out another yelp. She saw the mare's pleading look, but unfortunately there was nothing she could do for her friend at this moment. These foals were on their way to the world, whether Renesme was ready or not.
"Breathe...." She took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Calm and steady..." She looked over to Chan for further directions.

Chandra closed her eyes to think, Io was right it hadn't taken them long even if it had felt much longer to Renesme. That meant she was in labor -her body was preparing for the inevitable truth that she was about to have her children. Opening her eyes she flashed a determined look to Io. "Fetch your stuff sister, I think we need to get this party started now."
She then turned to Renesme and nuzzled her neck gently, "don't worry Renemse, you and your babies are in good hooves." Placing her horn upon Renesme stomach she concentrated on sending some of her healing magic to the other mare in an effort to help the foals from getting distressed but to also help her with the pain.
Once she saw Renesmes stance relaxed slightly she figured she had done enough for now so pulled back and spoke once more, "Lets get you to the shore so we can check you out. I promise you can come back to the water if you want shortly."
Renesme wanted to panic, to run, to scream but she knew she had to stay calm. Rune wasn't here and their foals where on their way. A tear trickled down her face at the thought of having to do this alone. If only he was here to cheer her on, to hold her close and see a sneaky-peek of their children as they where placed into their baskets.
How could she do this?
Yet as Chandra tried to help relieve some of her pain she felt a sudden surge of strength, she could do this. She would do this. Her children needed her, and although the two mares wanting to aid her could never replace her mate at least they would be there through this. Hopefully they would also be able to do something about the pains that stabbed at her in desperate need.
"Thank you," she mumbled to her aid as she carried her tired heavy body to the bank once more.
Just as she was about to sit down another contraction gripped her and once again she moaned in pain as she scrunched her face up trying not to scream. It hurt.... and she knew it would only get worst before it disappeared.

Io nodded her head at Chan's instructions and moved quickly through the water to the shore. She had collected everything she would need and placed it together. Making her way, trying to stay calm, Io reached her items. Carefully she picked up the makeshift bags made of large leaves, making sure not to spill anything.
She made her way back and started to prepare an area under a shade tree not far from the water. She untied the leaves and nosed the ingredients out. She trotted back over to her collection area and gathered two large pieces of bark, they were large and rounded enough to hold water. Dropping them next to the water she filled them one at a time and took them to her ingredients.
She moved quickly and with much intent, not paying much attention to Chan and Ren at the moment. She had to get her mixtures completed before Ren -really- needed them.

Chandra wanted to watch her sister work, she knew of her potions and mixtures but had never actually stopped to watch her -not that that was about to change, Renesme needed her. "Easy," she chirped softly as she placed herself beside Renesme to help her to the shore.
As her sister walked towards the water with her bark bowls Chandra asked her softly, "Do you need a hand sister?"
Renesme was thankful for the support of the other mare but after the contractions girp left her belly she found herself plopping to the ground rather ungracefully. Her ankles where swollen and tender, every cell in her body seemed to be aching and painful, but she tried to smile.
Finding distraction in Io's work she asked curiously, "What are you doing Io?"
Chandra sat beside Renesme softly and watched her, "Are you ok? Does it hurt all the time or just during the contractions?" She really did want to aid the other mare, hoping that someone would do the same for her one day if she ever decided to have children of her own.
Renesme nodded softly at the other mare, "I am ok. You do not need to worry about me."
All Renesme really wanted right now was for her mate to be with her.

"No no, I'm quite fine," Io was rather peculiar about her mixtures. She wanted everything thing done just right and she prefered to do it by herself to make sure. "You just tend to Ren for a moment more," she began mixing some of the herbs and plants in the different bowls.
She looked up at Ren's question, "I'm making some mixtures for you. One is a drink... It wont' taste good, but it will ease the pain..." she dropped a few more leaves into one of the bowls, "the other is an aromatherapy mixture to help you calm and relax by using the different scents..."
She bobbed her head and mixed in a few more ingredients, then picked up a stick to slowly mix the two bowls.
"Almost ready!"
