Chandra had slept very little last night, the mere idea that upon her return to Ameralds store she would be gifted with a child of her own had kept her up. A little one of flesh and blood that she could hold and love and never let go of. Of course she was still cautious about it, part of her didn't want to get too excited just incase it all turned out to be a trick or something had gone wrong. After all, being a midwife she knew all too well the dangers of having children -it was far from being as simple as most believed. Then there was another fear- what if Amerald was just stealing children from other parents and giving them to people like her? Would she be able to live with the guilt?

Then there was also the fear about this feather, what would the creature born of her DNA and a feather look like? She didn't know.... but was mostly excited to find out.

Quickly she got washed and then got dressed as fast as she could, expertly tying her kimono before combing her hair so that it looked smooth and silky. Then with a skip and a hop she went to leave her ground floor appeartment, pausing only to look at the room she had put together just incase. She didn't have a cot yet but had found several teddy bears and brightly coloured toys that currently sat in a box on the floor. Beside them was a chest of drawers with a waterproof mat on top designed for changing babies. There was also a rocking chair -it was the one thing she had bought when she had first starting trying for a child..... she looked at it longingly, maybe after all this time she would finally get to use it.

Determinded and with a spring in her step she closed the door and set off for Amerald's store once more.

It didn't take long, and surprisingly she didn't get lost this time. However it seemed she was too early, the sign on the door read 'closed'. And to Chandra it was now the worst word in the world.

She knocked softly, hoping that by some slim chance someone within would take pity on her and open up.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 13, 2010 1:20 pm

It was strange, a knock was heard on the door. Amerald wasn't the best with hearing, but Annabelle did hear something as she cleaned the shop front with the windows closed. Annabelle and Amerald often cleaned the shop portion of their home together as to keep the dust and rodents as well as bugs away. She would sweet and Amerald would dust. If Amelia hadn't been busy with the newborn, she would definitely be out here as well working and cleaning.

Amerald was behind his desk, checking the coins and money he had made the previous day, smiling at his accomplishment while continuing to dust off the counter. Annabelle heard the knock and instantly became rather skittish. "Father, someone is at the door." she whispered to him, leaving the broom in the room and rushing to the back door into the house.

Amerald sighed and got up from his workstation. 'Can't they see the sign...' he thought to himself as he made his way to the front door. He slid open the window drapes and realized that his windows were also locked shut on the outside so he couldn't really see out. He sighed again and then unlocked each of the locks on the door. Opening it to see the woman with the horn. "Oh! Hello again Chandra! It's nice to see you! Please, do come in." he said, holding the door open for her.

"You're quite early haha. It's nice to see some people are punctual. Please, come right this way. Your child awaits." he said, closing the door and scurrying over to the other door that led into the house. He was definitely excited for this woman to see her new child...although she did seem to have more looks from the feather than from her mother, but that was alright, yes? Surely it would be? He hoped anyway.

Chandra could hear noises from within and just as she was about to knock again the door opened. She tucked her hands behind her back quickly so that she wouldn't fidget.

But as Amerald began to speak to her she relaxed, carefully she slid past him into the store as she turned with a smile to greet him properly, "Good morning, I hope I am not here too early. I tend to lose track of what is 'suitable' to others due to my line of work." She chirped happily before glancing swiftly around. She didn't know what he was expecting or looking for but the store seemed exactly the same as it had the day before -except that it may have been slightly cleaner, which was probably true since she could see the broom and cleaning clothes out.

Then Amerald spoke again, and for a moment Chandra's entire world froze. Her child awaits. She rolled the sound of it over her tongue and liked it, a bright beaming smile covered her face as she followed Amerald through a set of doors that appeared to lead to the house that appeared to be attached to his store. She didn't breath, didn't move anything other than her feet as her anticipation grew. This was it. The moment her dream came true.

------------------------

Rishima wiggled inside the white garment and pulled at the neckline repeatably, "Itchy!" She complained sweetly, she much prefered not having any of these so called 'clothes' on but since they had insisted and told her she would get use to it she simply decided to try it -for now at least. Amerald had told her that her mother would come and get her soon, but she wasn't exactly sure what a 'mother' was. It seemed she had so much to learn.

"Mo-th-er..." she said the word carefully since she didn't wish to look foolish, "...get here?" She asked as she turned to look at Amelia with a gentle serene smile upon her face.

((I hope its ok to RP Rishima now also... if not feel free to edit it out or just ignore it XD *huggles* Also.... I assumed she could speak o.O))

Amerald smiled as the woman gleamed with happiness. He was quite excited to see her actual reaction of seeing the girl. He knew that the looks weren't probably what she was expecting, but maybe someone in her family had black hair, pale skin? Or maybe something went really wrong and the bird's DNA actually took over for the most part. Obviously there had to be some type of resemblance somewhere in the family line, after all, she was definitely human, not bird.

He walked to the hallway and stopped just before the end. "Are you ready? If so, just go around the corner to see your beautiful little girl." he said, rather happy to say that to one of the guardians. Normally he would keep it a secret until the meeting. This woman was definitely unique that she could know the truth before even going on with the experiment. Of course, he was excited for her. She seemed to want a child so badly, it was only a matter of time before she could take her home and everything would be fine.

~~~
Amelia smiled. "Yes, your mother should be coming quite soon, little one. It just takes a bit of time." she said, that same smile upon her face.
Annabelle had come in and sat upon the other couch, watching the two. "I can try and fix the collar for you if you wish. I am quite sorry if it bothers you." she said, concerned for the girl. Yes, they had told her to keep the clothes on, which was normal for the people of Levintol and Annabelle being able to sew great works was a plus to have around the household for the newborns. "Your mother may be here sooner than you would think. She may have been the one at the door earlier." she finished, before folding her hands in her lap and smiling at the girl.
[[ Oh, of course it's alright. ^___^ And yeah, hehe, they can speak. :3 Just as if they were children. You did well! <3 ]]
Rishima sat on the couch still pulling at the neck of her dress. "Pwease Annibbelll!" She replied to Annabelles kind offer, part of Rishima was envious of the older woman. She was elegant and beautiful but unlike her sister Amelia seemed to be strong and read for anything. On the other hand Amelia was strong in a different way. All in all both of them had been very kind to Rishi and she was happy to be around them.
Turning to Amelia she smiled sweetly before asking, "I come back?" She knew she was going to go and stay with this 'mother' person but at the same time she didn't want to forget the three people she had met first, especially Amelia and Annabelle. Amerald was so wierd, he didn't look anything like her and his daughters -except maybe the odd features, but definatly no wings or taloned feet. Would her mother be wierd like him?
-----------------
Chandra took a slow breath, closed her eyes and then braced herself as she ventured into the house and around the corner he had mentioned. What she saw both shocked and awed her. Three beautiful girls, one of pale blue skin with large white wings on her back in a flowy gown of white and blue. Another of darker complextion with a long dark dress of black and red. And finally one that seemed so much smaller with pale white skin and hair as black as her fathers. There was a moment when looking at the girls face that Chandra saw her own, although her eyes appeared to be yellow there was definatly a resemblence to her own.... it was like looking at a photo of herself as a child with a wig and make up on. "My.... daughter?" She said a little apprechensively as she turned back to Amerald for an answer. Her heart was beating so face, and her eyes shining with a hope that she had not known for five long years. She wanted to shout it to the world that she had a daughter.
Yet as she turned back to look at her one more she started to note 'other' features that where definatly more bird like. Taloned feet of scaley black, and feathers of white and black on her arms. It was a shock, but part of Chandra didn't care. She turned to look at the other two girls also and then back Amerald, "I am assuming they are not costumes? How do you keep them hidden?" It may have been because Chandra herself was so 'different' that she was able to accept the differences of others, but in a place where those of difference where hunted like dogs she needed to know. She needed to keep her own child safe.
Rishima watched and listened as a unknown figure appeared, she didn't have the taloned feet but did seem to have wings and something strange growing out of her head. "Mo-th-er?" She said slowly again as she continued to smile.
That one word broke Chandra's heart several times over. Mother, she was a mother..... a tears started to swell from her eyes as she quietly watched her daughter. "Does she have a name?" Chandra finally asked.
Rishima simply shock her head, Amerald, Ameilia and Annabelle had all told her that her mother would name her.
PostPosted: Sat Aug 14, 2010 11:25 am
Annabelle, with a kind and warm smile, took the girls hand. "Maybe when you come back to visit, I can make you a beautiful gown with a larger neck line." she said, a little giggle making its way out of her mouth. She was definitely a little naive girl, which Annabelle loved.
Amelia nodded. "Of course you can come back. You're always going to be welcomed to visit! Daddy said that your mommy would definitely be happy to see you." she stated, smiling at the little girl.
~~~

Suddenly, the other two walked into the room. Amerald smiled as did the other two women, listening to what Chandra had to say. "No Chandra, they aren't costumes in any way. Every feature is real." he said, patting her on the back as she teared up. "Keeping them safe is one of the harder things in life. Amelia and Annabelle hardly leave the house. When they do, it's at the dead of night. I bet we can get some custom shoes made for your little one, though. To cover up the fact that she has taloned feet." he said.

"The name is for you to decide Chandra. It is your daughter after all." he replied, smiling at her. "Go sit with her...get to know your daughter." he smiled, walking into the kitchen. It was definitely almost time for breakfast.

"How about some breakfast, everyone?" he asked those in the room. He was happy to see that Chandra was so excited to see her new daughter. With her enthusiasm, he half expected to want to make another child for her someday. He was unsure, but he definitely knew that she was the first to really want the child, which struck Amerald in a different way. She was brave.

"Pwetty dress." Rishima beamed as she smiled happily at Annabelle and Amelia.

Chandra found comfort in Ameralds touch and slowly and mostly disbelievingly she wandered towards her daughter and just looked at her. "Yes please," she mumbled to Amerald and his offer of breakfast a she simply continued to look at her daughter. She was beautiful but Chandra was lost for words, not knowing what to say, or how to think or even what to do. Things had happened so fast and the child before her was much older than she had expected. A child, with a personality and by the looks of it some speech... that meant she had already starting learning and so far Chandra had not been a part of it.

Yet as she watched her daughter she noticed that in her minds eyes the little girl seemed to shine and stand out, she was Chandra's wish in the dark, her beacon of hope and truth. Her little moon beam. "Rishima.... your name is Rishima." She didn't know where the name had come from but it oddly seemed to fit the child.

"Ri-sh-iii-ma?" Rishima said as he eyes lit up. "Rishima!" She said again, "Rishima!" And again before flinging herself into Chandras arms and holding her close. After a little wiggling and jiggling she ended up standing in her mothers lap with her head nestled in the bow of her neck as she grinned widely. She had a name, a pretty name that rolled off her tongue. A name that was her own. A name that her mother had given her.

Chandra was slightly taken aback by the experience and found yet more tears falling as she clung to the little creature that seemed as happy to be with her as she was to be with it.

Amerald instantly began to cook as the woman said yes. The girls then got up, giving the new family some space, going to help with the breakfast arrangements. They were happy that this woman so willingly took her daughter into her arms. Annabelle and Amelia were surprised at how well she took it, to be honest.

These past few weeks were quite difficult for Amerald, having so many new creations with such different reactions to them. He was so unpredictable. His daughters had no idea what was going on half the time, even if they wished they had. It was quite nice knowing that there were more of them out there though.

"Rishima is a perfect name." he said, smiling. His pancake breakfast was phenomenal most of the time. He had Annabelle start the little fire burner and he could mix the daily supply of milk and eggs and create a fantastic breakfast fit for a king. He treated his family as though they were royalty after all, most of the time that was, which was ironic because if his family was ever found out, he would be in the prisons under the Royal District's Palace.

He had finally come to finishing the food and dispersing it upon the different plates. "Grubs up!" he called to the current residents and guests, setting the individual plates upon the counter, full of food. He was happy.

"Chandra, there is something I would love to discuss with you now, if you don't mind. Please, follow me?" he said, grabbing his and Chandra's plate and beginning to walk to the basement door. "No worries, my daughters will definitely look after her." he said, smiling, following the hallway to the basement. It was time to speak of the direness of what he had gotten Chandra into.

"Food?" Rishima said as she licked her lips and smiled at her mother. She didn't know what to say so she just smiled and giggled every now and then.

Chandra looked at Risihma and smiled at Amerald, for some reason she liked having his approval. This was all such a shock, it was taking her time to process the differences between herself and her daughter. How would she explain things? How could she ask her daughter to live? What would happen? All things that Chandra didn't know the answer to, all things that where confusing the hell out of her. She stroked her daughters face, "Yes Rishima, it seems Amerald is kind enough to cook us both breakfast." She smiled for a moment fore asking another question, "How are you? Can you tell me a bit about yourself?" She wanted to know everything, and although she understood it would take a while she at least needed to start.

Rishima licked her lips again and made a sound that sounded very much like, "Yummmmm" Before she smiled again at her mother and giggled at her question, "Good. Rishima.... is Rishima!" She chirped in a fashion very much like Chandra.

It was at that moment that Amerald interupted, Chandra turned to face him and nodded softly before standing up and kissing Rishima's forehead softly, "I'll be back soon." She said before she followed Amerald towards the basement. After several long moments of staring and watching him she finally asked, "What do you need to discuss? Money?" She had thought about the 'cost' of this little venture a lot, and imagined it would cost her a lifetimes wages simply to afford it. She pulled the dangle bits of material from her belt to the front and started to friget with them. "I don't have very much -but I can send payments to or you something? I...." She couldn't say anymore and instead continued to figet with her sash as she watched Amerald. All the while she was praying that he wasn't about to take her daughter away from her -Rishima may be odd and different, but she WAS Chandras.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 16, 2010 10:04 am

Amerald made his way down the stairs and went around his desk to sit down in his chair. He set down the two plates and began to speak. "Haha, no, no need for money. I have enough as it is. I could actually live without doing much of anything, but the business also brings in a tad bit, which is a good front for my real dealings. No, you must not need to think I'd give these children away at a price. They are totally free...I hate treating them like items. However, the matter I do have to discuss with you, is a bit more...personal for Rishima. Would you like to keep her well protected? Allow her to muster the abilities of an element in order to protect herself from outsiders? See, my daughter, Annabelle, as well as a few other souls that I have created, have obtained the powers of the elements through these crystals..." he stated, taking the basket of crystals out and setting them on the desk. "These are the crystals with which contain strong powers. One can be infused within Rishima to be used as a defense mechanism within herself." he concluded, taking a bite of his meal. He then placed the crystals out before her, allowing her to pick them up and do with whatever she will.

~~~
Meanwhile, Annabelle and Amelia were beginning to eat. "So, Rishima, what do you think of your new mommy?" the shorter girl asked, taking a bite of the food. Annabelle smiled and waited for a response as well. This woman was definitely going to make for a great mother, unlike past guardians that she had met. None took it as well as she did, which amazed her, but at the same time, she was quite pleased.
"Oh." She said blushing softly and feeling utterly foolish now for ever believing he was going to charge her -despite the fact she would have paid it. At his words she felt a little concerned for her daughter, what would Rishima need protecting from that she could not do? "Of course," she said quickly as her eyes looked into the basket of crystals. Some where very extrovagent looking and others more earthy, but one caught Chandra's eye most of all. It was darker than most of them, smooth and round almost like a pebble. She reached out to it and picked it up softly feeling the cool surface under her touch.
She took one last look into the basket before finally saying, "this one then." There was something about it that instantly made her think of Rishima, it may have been that it was basically the same black as her hair or the black feathers of her wings. Or that fact that just looking at it Chandra got the impression of wind whoosing around her. "What is it?" She said finally looking up from the smooth crystal to Amerald once more. She recalled him mentioning something about 'powers' and so felt suddenly curious about what they could be, "What kind of powers are we talking about anyway? Will she be dangerous? How can I help her?" She gripped the crysal in hand and closed her eyes as she repeated the question in her mind, 'how can I help her?' Chandra felt so helpless, like there was a million and one things she didn't know or understand.
She opened her eyes, a flash of her determination clear within them, she would learn. She would do the best for her daughter... of this was she certain.
----------------
Rishima looked at her food for a moment and then to the direction her mother and Amerald had just gone. Slowly to began to eat until her thoughts where disturbed by Amelia's words. Turning she smiled brightly and looked at her. The purity of the other girl was clear for all to see. "Mummy is Mother?" She said as the new word sunk in, Rishima had been a fast learn so far. She looked to the basement door once more before smiling and returning her gaze to Amelia and Annabelle, "She is pwetty!" She took some more bites of her pancakes before asking, "You like?" After all Rishima values the opinion of the older girls, she liked them.
Once she had finished with her breakfast she carried the plate over to the sink and placed it carefully on the side before returning to Amelia and holding her arms up and open wide in a suggestive request for a hug. She knew that her time with them was limited.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 16, 2010 7:09 pm
Amerald smiled at the woman as she slowly was deciding. She had picked up the Quartz crystal and he was definitely excited. That was one that he wanted to see in action. He picked up the other crystals and placed them in the basket, setting it back to the floor like before.
"So, you've chosen the crystal of air. The crystal has encased within it, the power of air. She will be able to manipulate the air around her as if she is one with it. She won't be dangerous...for the most part. Sometimes with these experiments, they change a bit. But something I must warn you of, it will hurt her as it is being infused. Sometimes hraapea take it quite well, only feeling the minor pain, but sometimes the pain inflicted can be extraordinary. Most of the time they recover with a good nights rest...but I've had a couple of hraapea feel sick and become quite different through the change. It is all a matter of willpower and mind strength. If she can make it passed the mental, she will definitely be able to make it passed the physical. The strange part is, she has hardly any feathers. I will tell you this, when she grows, she may start to sprout feathers elsewhere...she may not. It's up to the DNA in her body to decide. If she doesn't, the power of this crystal will allow what feathers she does have, as well as her arms and legs, to be able to create large gusts of wind. She will then be able to protect herself." he finished. It was just a matter of time before she either said to go forward or take a step back and decide some other way.
~~~

Amelia and Annabelle nodded in unison. "Yes, mommy is mother." she said, patting the girls head. Amelia was enamored with the girl. She was smart and really cute, just like a little sister to her.

"Yes, we both really like your mother, Rishima. She is quite...different from the other guardians. She will definitely be one of the much kinder, more supportive guardians we have." Annabelle stated as she watched the girl take her plate to the sink. She was even responsible too.

Amelia giggled as the little girl came up for a hug. She passed her plate onto Annabelle and turned in her seat holding her arms out wide, taking the girl up and onto her lap, squeezing her. "You'll be really happy with your mommy, I know it. And you can come back and visit whenever you'd like. You just have to make sure mommy says it's alright." she said, taking the girl in another embrace.

Meanwhile, Annabelle took the plates to the kitchen and grabbed the little bucket of water under the sink, area. Sloshing some of it into the sink, she placed soap into the washing bowl and began to wash the dishes, watching the other girls as she did, smiling.

[[ Totally off that, I wasn't sure, did you pay for the crystal yet? *shot* I was totally unsure just because my mind has been completely everywhere. xD If not, that's fine for now haha. :3 Just whenever. ^-^ ]]

[[I thought the crystal was free for semi-customs XD my bad.... I shall send a trade now. Sorry!]]

At his words Chandra felt suddenly sick to her stomach. This was going to hurt Rishima? This tiny crystal had the power to give Rishima the power to control air, but at the same time it would hurt her. How could Chandra make the decission for the delicate little creature? It was not hers to make no matter how much she wanted to protect the precious little creature sitting just upstairs. "I..." she started as she continued playing with her sash and closed her eyes. She couldn't think straight. Didn't know what to do or say. Then something struck her -it wasn't her decision, but it was Rishima's. Opening her eyes she looked at Amerald with sudden determination. "It is for Rishi to decide. Since she is the one who will have to experience the pain I will leave it up to her if she shall join with the crystal or not." Perhaps that was taking the 'easy' way out, but Chandra felt deep down that it was the right thing to do.

Chandra knew that no matter what Rishima decided she would stand by her, hold her hand and do her best to aid her through the pain. She only hoped that she had the strength to witness it.

----------------

Rishima smiled as she was pulled into Amelia's embrace. "Happy." She repeated Amelias words as she tried to digest what the others had said. Her mother was different, since she didn't really understand much of the world she didn't know how her mother was different but she liked the idea. Liked that she would be loved and wanted by someone as unique as she was.

She beamed brightly and clung onto Amelia's neck as she watched Annabelle with the dishes in the sink. "You visit me too?" She asked before giggling softly, "You family!" She chirped brightly. In the short time since she had been created she had come to see Amerald and his two daughters as family. She just hoped that her mother would allow them to meet and stay in touch.

[[ FFFFFF!!! XD You're right hehehe. :3 Sorry. <3 *totally forgot* Okaaay. :3 *gets to posting* XD ]]

Amerald nodded. "That is definitely a way to go. I like how you have given her the room to decide. Please, if you would fetch her, I will talk with her before going on with anything." he said, smiling. He looked at the woman, reaching out a hand as if to ask for the crystal. He was definitely happy to see that Chandra wouldn't be making the decision on her own. It wasn't often that the hraapea had the choice, and well, he was quite glad that the choice was for Rishima.

~~~
Upstairs, Annabelle had finished the dishes and made her way to the couch. Amelia stood, holding Rishima in her arms and making her way over to the couch as well, saying, "Of course we're a family. And you know what? You have other brothers and sisters as well. They have their own mommies and daddies but if we ever had a reunion, you would be able to meet them all." she said, smiling.
Annabelle was struck by that idea. A reunion? For all the hraapea? That was definitely a thought. Amerald could send word to the guardians and they could gather the food and have a nice get together, everyone meeting everyone. That was definitely an idea Annabelle would keep in mind for the future. She seemed pleased. "Maybe we can visit now and again. Though, it is difficult and father does not approve of us going out too much. But, maybe one day." she said, smiling. She looked out the window as if to view the sky. She was happy.
[[Hehehe *huggles* ok =D It's all still new to us all so I guess it will take a while for the rules to become well known and stuff. Thank you for this opportunity though, I am really enjoying myself XD]]
Rishima let Amelia carry her and listened to them both with a beaming smile on her face. Other siblings? A reunion? She loved the idea already. "Others? They nice?" She asked happily as she tried to picture what they all looked like. Would they be more like Annabelle, Amelia and herself? Or more like her mother and Amerald? It would be ineresting to see.
Just then she heard movement coming back towards them and froze as her head darted into that direction.
---------
Chandra nodded to Amerald and smiled before walking back up to where his daughters where looking after Rishima. She paused at the door before watching her little girl interact with the others, she seemed as if she was having fun. Chandra was already taken by the little girls memory.
"Rishima." She called politely and smiled softly as she reached out to her. "I need you for a minute. You can come back to see the girls soon though. I promise.
Instantly Rishima jumped from Amelia's lap and ran to her mother. The whte slip that covered her body waved and danced around her as she reached for her mothers hand. "Mummy."
Chandra smiled softly and took her child by the hand before speaking softly to Ameralds children, "Thank you for looking after her."
Then she led Rishima back to Amerald. Her heart thundering with her chest.
