Seija was wandering again, in search of a pride she'd heard about recently from a small and no name lion. The Ukuucha something, remembering was something she could care little about at this time and seemed content with her current lifestyle.

Her tail swished, eye's glanced about and body language deemed her relaxed. The sun was high, there was a beautiful breeze and water seemed at the horizon and coming closer, it was something of a small lake she presumed.

"Water at last!" She proclaimed and walked towards it boredly.

Chui had taken to lying down yet again, his wanderlust slowly and surely subsiding. Soon enough he would pine for a place to call home, he knew, but for now he'd have to content himself with living life the way he'd been living for a while now, since he left his family in the jungle. No family for him now, he knew that much at least.

The leopard sighed and turned over and onto his back, his bangs falling back and his vision clear for the first time that day. The sky was that usual, bright sky blue, barely a cloud in sight and the sun high, high up. It'd been so long since he actually took a good look at it, and he had to admit it relaxed him even more so. He'd have to remember to do it more often.

"Sky, sky," he started, seemingly wanting to ask it a question or two. It looked so peaceful, so content. How could he, a leopard grounded save for when he comes across a tree with firm branches he could laze atop, be as peaceful and contented as the sky? "Maybe if I was born a bird my life wouldn't be as.. unfulfilling as I think it is. What do you think, sky? Do birds have it easier because they aren't stuck on the ground like us felines?"

Voices had entered Seijas silent day. Or a voice is more like it, she was wandering closer to her water which was calling her name. She was relax then tensed up immediately, the air was not cooperating, the voice was weak and no breeze aided her nose. "Who.." She was beginning to ask, rotating a bit more she spotted hind paws and then the rest of a male leopard sprawled looking to the sky for answers as it seemed.

"I bet they ask the same things about felines." She stated, answering his questioning with a question. She was doe eyed, relaxed, tail bobbing behind her. She hadn't met a leopard in quite some time and found this one to be a fantastic shade of brown.

"Why do you ask such silly things? Does being a leopard not make you happy, being a feline stop you from having a great life?" She asks, immediately without question impeding on his conversation with the sky.

He turned his gaze to the lioness who had barged in on his little monologue with the sky above them. Chui rolled over again to get back onto his stomach and nodded at her in greeting, then shrugged. "Maybe," he said with a small smile. "I don't consider the question silly," he then continued, really thinking about it. He wasn't entirely unhappy. When he was younger he believed that he wanted his own family when he was older since he lacked one in his younger years, yet the word and concept of 'family' just continued to elude him.

Each chance he got at having a 'family' ended with him giving up on the idea. Maybe it was just something he, as an individual, couldn't get to. Or need.. maybe. "I wouldn't say I'm unhappy," he answered. "But I've lived a life that's pretty far from being 'great'." He smiled up at her. "I'm Chui, you are?"

Seija was happy with his answers, she hadn't met someone beyond another lioness who would actually have a full conversation with her and upon hearing his question she offered him in return a small smile and a tail twitch. "Seija." She smiled softly. "I'm Seija, it's nice to meet you Chui." She said in a friendly way.

"Seija," he repeated, sitting up out of politeness, as he realized it seemed a bit rude to greet someone while lazing about on the ground. "Well the pleasure's all mine." With that he turned his gaze skyward once more, the clouds having shifted slightly so the view was a bit different than it had been earlier. In particular, the sun was now no longer blocked by a large passing cloud, so Chui squinted and lowered his eyes.

"I think," he started saying then, "Discontent might be the best way to describe this feeling. In any case, how about yourself? Would you say you're happy with the life you've led up until now?"

Her ears twitched as he repeated her name and she almost cringed. But she kept her smile, was hard talking to a male after what a male had done to her. Nothing worse then heartbreak in her books. Watching him move smoothly from laying to sitting, then gazing to the sky, how nice! Her smile was blank and she almost zoned to a plant when a small silence then the sun came out. She used 'zoning' to ignore the sun most days.

"I'd be happy with anything better than an unplanned future." She murmured almost unpleasantly. "I've got no idea how to feel towards something.. that basically doesn't exist." She shifted slightly where she was and yawned slightly, hating the sun for the over production of heat.

Huh. Chui looked at her, almost surprised at her answer. Most would say something like "I'll be happy once I fall in love" or "...find a pride" or something along those lines. Yet she somehow managed to group all those aspirations into one giant one - a planned future. It was something he lacked, of course, which may or may not be why he was currently 'discontent' with the current life that he led. The male blinked the initial shock away and cleared his throat once he managed to get his words back.

"Insightful," he said with a grin. "Rogues are usually ones who's futures are basically unplanned though, so does that mean you have a particular destination in mind? Perhaps a loved one to return to? A family, maybe? Or is your future as vague and unplanned as the rest of ours?" He didn't mean to come off as some kind of pessimist, but.. well, life's just not been that good to him as of late. It wasn't something Chui felt he even wanted to help.

She stared at him blankly, zoning for quite some time before her eye's cleared up and seemed to really see him. She bore no smile, was no where near excited about talking about her life and what she was going to do with it, but she didn't want to let the only company she'd had in a long time grow bored with her and leave.

I have no home, I have no family, none I'm willing to be related too... and love. Love will never exist in my life again." She growled low in her throat and let her head droop a bit, she wasn't a pleased lioness at all. Her life had hit rock bottom and she had nothing, and no where to change that nothing into some kind of potential.

His smile got a little wider, though more from amusement than pleasure. "Seems you and I are a lot alike then," Chui said, turning his gaze to the lioness. "I, too, have no home, nor family I'd proudly say I'm related to, nor a love to go back to. The latter is more my fault, admittedly, but all the same, right?" With that he stood and stretched, a yawn escaping him as he did so. When he was done he shook his head a bit to wake himself up and smiled once more at the lioness.

"Well," he said with a polite smile. "While I've enjoyed the company I believe I've drudged up some unpleasant memories for you, I am sorry for that by the way, and I feel like walking again. You're welcome to join me, if you'd like. Though I have to say I'm not much of a talker while I walk."

She watched him curiously, certainly still in her own world, but much less chipper than she had been. His lights tones were of no comfort either, this would just be another conversation forgotten over time she imagined.

"I think I shall stay here.. got a lot to do before I head out." She said slowly, trying to think of what she possibly had to do, but it was just what had come out of her mouth and she couldn't turn back on that. "It was very nice talking with you." She forced a half-smile and held back a sigh.

Today, the conversation of tomorrows forgetfulness and tomorrow the same thing. She curled up then and there, watched Chui walk off from their company and it wasn't long after she drifted into an uncomfortable sleep.
