Time for a rant, & also would like to hear your advice as to what I should do. Yeah, I know ya'll prolly think it's stupid, but still it's important to me.
A few years ago, I think it was in 2oo7, I changed my username on my other account to Unsolved Mystery.
At the time I was the only one to have that name here.
In 2oo8 I left for awhile. I came back at the beginning of this year to find I couldn't log in to that account.
So I clicked the 'forgot password' thingy on the front page to get a new password. But one never came.
So I filled out a ticket. And waited.
And waited.
And waited.
I've had to fill out several tickets from January to today, and finally I'm told that another person has the same name as mine.
And the only way I am able to log back into that account is if I change the username.
I don't think I should have to change my name just because of someone else. sweatdrop
It just pisses me off that I'm told I have to change my name because of someone else. I mean, I have my own email for that account. Why can't they just reset it or something?
That name & this one are important to me. I love both names and I don't think I should have to change it.
What do ya'll think I should do?

As for the user name, I think Gaia decided to change inactive account's user names to their account IDs.
As for the advice, if you really want that account back, I would think you would want to.
You could change it to something similar, or you could ask the other person to change the name kindly.
But, who knows, that may not happen.

I did think to drop a PM to that person and ask them to change their name.
But that person hasn't logged in since 2oo8.
Dammit.
I don't care to change the name to something else if I knew for sure I could get that name back as soon as I logged in to it.
I know I shouldn't get so mad over something so stupid, but I love these 2 names.
Dammit.

You could also put "-,__" In it to make it different, maybe? I dunno.
You could also do ________v2
That works, I've done that multiple times.

Then found out some 04 account took it. and I raged cause it was inactive so I just added an 's' to the name so I can at least have it I still want Murakumo though ;n; ok, on to topic; Well, you did mention you like the name you have now, so why bother changing? |D;

A third of those inactive names are from bots, a quarter are for mules, and the rest are inactives or belong to assholes who make multiple accounts to sell the names
