How to Play

User Image
Sign-ups to challenge the gym will be made at random times in the event thread.
Challengers will be paired off to battle against each other in a Rock Paper Scissors type game.

Using the Random Number generator generate a number from 1 to 151.
With the number generated, check the Mini Pokédex (in the following post) to find what Pokémon you've drawn.
Once your battle partner has taken their turn, use the Key (in the following post) to determine who has won the round.
If no type drawn beats the other (according to the Key) the battle continues until there is a winner.
Once a winner from each pair has been determined they will be paired off again and the game will repeat.
When there is only one challenger remaining they will face off against the gym leader.
If they beat the leader they win a gym badge! But if the leader wins no badge will be given out. XP

Example of play 1:

Myst gets the number 51, she draws Dugtrio (Ground)
Kia gets the number 25, she draws Pikachu (Electric)

Ground beats Electric, so Myst wins!

Example of play 2:

Myst gets the number 139, she draws Omastar (Rock)
Kia gets the number 69, she draws Bellsprout (Grass)

Rock doesn't beat Grass. Grass doesn't beat Rock. Neither player wins so they continue with their next turn.

F.A.Q

Q. Using random numbers in guilds is messed up, how can I play?
A Clicking on the text box or previewing your post will solve this.

Q. If both players get a Dragon type Pokémon, what happens?
A. Dragon types are super effective against themselves, so you'd both get knocked out! (This also applies to both players getting Ghost types)

Q. What music should I listen to while playing?!
A. This of course. 8D
